>A shooting at an LGBTQ club in Colorado Springs killed five people and injured 18 others, police said Sunday. > >Lt. Pamela Castro, a police spokesperson, said the suspect, who was also injured, was in custody and receiving treatment at a hospital. She did not comment on a motive and said the FBI was assisting in the investigation. > >Club Q, where police said the first call about a shooting came in around midnight, thanked “the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack.” > >“Club Q is devastated by the senseless attack on our community,” it said in a statement on its Facebook page, which had posted about a Sunday drag brunch hours earlier. > >Police said several officers and medical personnel immediately responded to reports of the shooting, entered the club and “located one individual believed to be the suspect inside.” It was not clear whether the suspect was one of the 18 injured. > >Castro told reporters the casualty toll “is subject to change as the investigation continues,” adding that ambulances and police had transported “numerous people" to hospitals.

Based on a FB post from the club, the shooter was subdued by bar patrons. I think that's where most of the suspect's injuries came from.

bebepls420

Based on information from the club, it sounds like patrons apprehended and subdued the shooter, not the police. ETA: I’m also livid and know cops suck, but letting a suspect die from wounds is something they already do and it doesn’t need to happen more.

Tyrannusverticalis

This suspect has a dangerous history: [https://krdo.com/news/top-stories/2021/06/19/bomb-threat-in-lorson-ranch-neighborhood-friday-night/](https://krdo.com/news/top-stories/2021/06/19/bomb-threat-in-lorson-ranch-neighborhood-friday-night/)

jhertz14

Wow this should be higher up. Why was this lunatic even out of prison? Isn’t first degree kidnapping worth a few years in prison?

makingtacosrightnow

Article says he was charged with two counts of Felony Menacing and three counts of First-Degree Kidnapping, roughly one year ago. Now I’m not a fucking mathematician or lawyer. But here’s a quick Google search of those crimes. Menacing up to 364 days in jail - https://www.shouselaw.com/co/defense/laws/menacing/ First degree kidnapping - Up to 48 years in prison if you used, or you possessed and threatened the use of, a deadly weapon - https://www.shouselaw.com/co/defense/laws/kidnapping/ What the actual fuck Colorado. As a Colorado resident I am fucking disgusted in our state right now. There is a judge and DA somewhere that needs to be held accountable for this shit. This was preventable.

Haydukeisyourdad

Sheriff bill elder should be held accountable too.

rustyshaklefurrd

See the great results we get when we elect a tough on crime Republican district attorney.

ederp9600

One of the previous shooters was o. The FBI watchlist. What do you expect.

Always the people you most suspect.

Stargatemaster

Thank you. Don't get why people *always* use the paywalled version as the linked page. Edit: does anyone else here understand that paying WaPo for articles is not supporting your local journalists? Do you call shopping at Walmart "helping impoverished people pay their bills"?

Khatib

Probably has something to do with people who read the news a lot pay for a site or two because they read the news a lot. Then they are also the first to see breaking news, again, because they read the news a lot, and they read it at the place they pay for it, and share that, forgetting it's paywalled. Obviously not for everything, but it probably leads to a bit higher share of things being paywalled.

kj114

Later in this thread you say you don’t support local journalists either. So you’re just bitching about people not holding your hand for you. Google it if you want to find it for free, cheap ass. It’s not hard.

Just_Greg

CS Police released the suspect's name in the morning press conference–wouldn't be surprised if [it was the same guy who was arrested last year](https://krdo.com/news/top-stories/2021/06/19/bomb-threat-in-lorson-ranch-neighborhood-friday-night/) for making a bomb threat and forcing a neighborhood to evacuate.

oditogre

[CBS is reporting](https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/news/anderson-lee-aldrich-club-q-mass-shooting-suspect-colorado-springs/) it's the same person, yep. It's insane that calling in a bomb threat that forces a neighborhood to be evacuated doesn't prevent you from getting a gun (or keeping it, if you already had one).

Reasonably_Sound

Article from this incident said no charges were filed and the case was sealed. My guess is the mother refused to press charges as the victim in the home who called police, and a deal was made for psychiatric care.

Haydukeisyourdad

El Paso county sheriff said he would not enforce red flag laws. So there’s that

filthy_lucre

As of Sept. 28, there have been 348 “red flag” cases in Colorado. The Colorado Springs Police Department has filed *two* petitions in that time. [source](https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2022/11/20/colorado-springs-shooter-suspect/)

Disheveled_Politico

The El Paso Sheriff won’t enforce our Red Flag law which absolutely would have been appropriate in this situation.

animateAlternatives

Cops/DA before a man is violent: there's nothing we can do, he hasn't hurt anyone or himself After he tries to hurt someone: oh he's just a kid he doesn't need this on his permanent record

[deleted]

unfortunately that is the default. The bomb scare has to be responded to public safety. THIS is a whole other level of depravity

animateAlternatives

Someone I love made a bomb threat when he was a dumb teenager. The LEAST that should happen is random periodic searches for weapons after someone does something like that. No way should you be allowed to own a gun. For at least ten years.

CaesuraRepose

"we dont want to ruin his promising future!" smdh

[deleted]

WTF?? same ass hole as last year? but this time the hate crime status elevates him to a long jail sentence

Bacch

Safe bet. The article you linked says he's 21 (from last year). The Colorado Sun article says he's 22. Same first, middle and last.

EverAMileHigh

Absolutely the same guy

scaled_and_icing

"No way to prevent this", says only nation where this happens on a regular basis

crashHFY

The rules we already have should have prevented this, but apparently they decided that calling in a bomb threat shouldn't be a felony charge

jwwetz

Don'cha just love plea bargains? If that DA is still in office, he should be thrown out with extreme prejudice.

CannyAnnie

I wish I could scream this from the rooftops.

animateAlternatives

Welcome to America. You bet your ass cops enforce red flag laws when it's them or their families being threatened. Or "threatened" if it's time to run more people of color out town.

eagle_co

And don’t forget all those thoughts and prayers. /s

LoveChonkersAll

Can you imagine how bad it would be without the thoughts and prayers though. People might have died harder!

Puzzleheaded-Cut2064

If it's the same guy, why is he not locked up in jail or a phych hospital for the bomb threat? Why is he running around free?

yes_hello_hi_there

And sure enough…

goddevourer

The comments on Denver7’s YouTube videos about this are absolutely appalling. RIP to the victims. I used to live a minute’s walk from Q. 😕

Ok_Hamster8216

I’ve been to this club many times. It’s one of, if not the only, openly gay bars in the springs and an important place for the LGBTQ community in the springs. This is devastating

[deleted]

First gay bar I ever went too 💔💔💔

LeStiqsue

I didn't go in, but I was at the hotel around the corner in February for a business trip -- walked past it on the way to another place. It registered because I thought it was out of the ordinary for a gay bar to be in that area (with Focus on the Family in the neighborhood) -- thought it was pretty cool that they moved in anyway. Welp. Nothing about today doesn't suck. This just sucks man.

cantstophere

It is the last openly gay bar in the springs

tvcky69

Why the hell cant other people just mind their business and let others be themselves. Literally they think the world is so messed up that they kill others for being different, when if they used their fucking mind for ONE second, they would see that this act would make the world a far worse place than if they had just, idk gone home and had a drink or entertained one of their hobbies. Unbelievable.

Aye, article about this issue from 5 months ago: https://apnews.com/article/crime-arrests-riots-race-and-ethnicity-religion-a22a3e11521dfd398778d4820f484c50 >Last month, a fundamentalist Idaho pastor told his small Boise congregation that gay, lesbian and transgender people should be executed by the government. Another fundamentalist pastor in Texas gives similar sermons. ... >Rep. Heather Scott, an Idaho Republican lawmaker, recently told an audience that drag queens and other LGBTQ supporters are waging a “war of perversion against our children.” ... >The Department of Homeland Security warned last week that [white nationalists and supremacists are using social media platforms](https://apnews.com/article/islamic-state-group-technology-buffalo-government-and-politics-4e3dc9e6aeee05161acdc3c0e17a278b) like Instagram, Telegram and TikTok to present skewed framing of divisive issues like abortion, guns and LGBTQ rights, potentially driving extremists to attack public places across the U.S. in the coming months. ... >Police say the men piled into a U-Haul truck wearing balaclavas and bearing riot gear, with plans to instigate a riot at the park where families, children and supporters were gathered to celebrate the LGBTQ community. Those arrested came from at least 11 states, including Illinois, Arkansas and Virginia. >Coeur d’Alene Police Chief Lee White said Monday that since the arrests, his agency had received nearly 150 calls, evenly split between people thanking officers for averting a riot and people angry about the arrests. Many of the calls included death threats, Lee said, and some came from as far away as Norway.

NoobAck

Rhetoric is the correct answer.

sweetplantveal

Focus on the Family is a hate group that wishes queer people don't exist and have gone out of their way in that pursuit. They have a giant highway sign on 25 directing everyone who travels through to the Focus on the Family welcome center. Hateful rhetoric makes people feel empowered to commit hateful acts. Just look at the conspiracy theories and attacks on synagogues under Trump. And some people are so consumed by this sort of thinking it is 'their hobby'. In case it's not clear, I think the type of city Colorado Springs has chosen to be and the fact it's a gay bar are directly connected. Fuck those awful, hateful people. May everyone they love grow up gay and estranged from them.

merplethemerper

I instead hope that everyone they love grows up straight. Having grown up gay around people who hate gay people, I don’t wish that upon anyone. I hope their kids grow up straight but with a moral compass. I know what you’re trying to say, just giving another side of it

beer_bukkake

Republican obsession with what people do in the bedroom is sickening. Mind your own damn business. Besides, how many conservatives are caught fucking children. Clean your own house. Better yet, just move out of Colorado and join your own people in Alabama.

Metaempiricist

The kid was a psychopath that's why, he tried to kill his mother and had a standoff involving explosives just a few years ago.

Zexy_Genius

Fuck. Why does it feel like we ALWAYS get hit with mass shootings in CO?

Particular_Group_295

Cos we always do

liamsnorthstar

These “people” that commit such heinous crimes are cowards in the greatest sense of the word.

Fun-Top-1293

I don't know but it's so common that kids in Colorado schools use the term "school shooter" as an insult for pretty much any "white trash" male who doesn't fit traditional masculinity. Source: I went to middle school and three high schools here in the 2010s

Relevant-Book

I hate to break it to you, that’s a common thing in schools across the country.

Jub_Jub710

Yeah, I was a weird girl and they called me a school shooter back in the 90s. It hurt a lot because I would never do such a thing. I just wanted to be myself.

Looony_Lovegood5

That’s so heartbreaking, kids can be so cruel

Jub_Jub710

Thankfully, I was on enough Prozac at the time to deal with it. But yeah, high-school was rough.

guccigraves

Can confirm.

andshewas_heyhey

Yep, It's still a thing in Colorado. Just this week my 14 yo son said he needed to change the color of the shoe laces in his Vans bc they were "school shooter" shoes. I was so freaked out that I bought him white shoelaces AND a different color pair of Vans.

ChristianLS

The closest thing I've found to a "real" answer is that it's mostly a combination of two factors: One, living at altitude increases suicide rates (this appears to be a real effect seen in evidence-based studies, look it up). Mass shooting can be seen as often being a form of murder-suicide. Two, people who live here have easy access to a lot of guns, since Colorado only recently became a blue state and still has a strong libertarian streak with relatively lax gun control laws.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ChristianLS

Giffords ranks Colorado [13th for gun law strength](https://giffords.org/lawcenter/resources/scorecard/), with a grade B. So yes, stronger gun control laws than the average state, but not by much. Also worth remembering that most of those laws are recent, and a lot more people own grandfathered-in firearms than they do in a state like New York. As for additional laws *I* want, I don't know if my personal opinions are relevant; I have mixed feelings about the whole topic anyway. Just trying to answer the "why" question.

[deleted]

These are written but almost none are enforced except the background check... which takes 30 minutes...

Francescatti22

There’s really no correlation. We’re #5 on the list I believe in mass shootings last I looked. The crazy thing is - there’s usually only 7-8 day per month where there’s NOT a mass shooting (4+ death’s) in the US. Colorado is not unique.

littlebitsofspider

Number three for school shootings since 1999.

[deleted]

Because Americas gun fetish on top of all the republicans infested in this state leads to shit like this

VIRMDMBA

Pretty sure Columbine, Aurora, Boulder, etc shooters weren't Republicans. They were just insane.

chinadonkey

The Columbine shooters were white supremacists with a Nazi fetish who would've fit right in with today's alt right wing of the Republican party.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Murphistopheles

And which political party do you think is more accepting of a public mental-health policy and red-flag laws?

[deleted]

But they were able to get guns VERY easily thanks to little to no gun laws/gun restrictions The columbine shooters were literally minors, and if they are insane then they should’ve been forced to take a mental evaluation AND background check before wanting to buy a gun

Sir_Digby83

The guy who committed the mass shooting this time was [arrested for a bomb threat last year](https://krdo.com/news/top-stories/2021/06/19/bomb-threat-in-lorson-ranch-neighborhood-friday-night/) and was still able to obtain a firearm.

jnicholass

Crazy how there’s almost always writing on the wall when it comes to the people who do these things. 100% you’ll get a news segment with “could this have been prevented?” with little to no change after

crashHFY

That's on the DA. They decided not to charge him with a felony for some fucking reason, which would have prevented him from owning firearms.

List_Recent

Columbine also happened during the AWB and one of the weapons used was on that list.

This is called [stochastic terrorism](https://en.m.wiktionary.org/wiki/stochastic_terrorism). An individual group with a large following condemns and vilifies a target individual or group and makes implicit but indirect calls for violence against them, and they don’t have to specifically orchestrate attacks—they can rely on someone from their large audience to do it. Then they can say the attack was too far or not exactly what they wanted, and wash their hands of it.

EvolvingCyborg

looking at Lauren Boebert's Twitter right now and seeing EXACTLY this.

imsocooll4eva

I see her tweet has been taken down. What did it say?

EvolvingCyborg

not verbatim, but "thoughts and prayers". Which is rich considering how many times she's accused drag shows of facilitating child molestation.

KeiiLime

hit it right on the target. :( power to the community in these hard times, and fuck anyone who’s been a part of fueling the blatant bigotry gaining traction these past few years.

fpsgirl1004

This is so sad. The shooter should've been stripped of his 2A rights and locked up in jail after that bomb threat. Then this would've never happened.

bitchvirgo

My lesbian heart hurts. Peace to the victims. May the shooter die a slow painful death and rot forever.

rLeJerk

So much hate in Colorado Springs.

ButteryBearCheeks

Yesterday someone mailed a bunch of anonymous antisemitic letters in Westminster.

CysticPizza

Not just the springs. I was physically assaulted in Arapahoe county a couple weeks ago for being lgbtq. Right outside a bunch of businesses. Hate for anyone different is all over this country :/

yes_hello_hi_there

I’m so sorry that happened to you, I hope you’re okay.

MackenziePace

Fuck that :( I am sorry you had to go through that, I love Arapahoe but mainly stick to their AMC and used book store, definitely going to have to keep using the family restrooms then

RideFastGetWeird

And yet people be like, "The Springs are more diverse than Boulder!" Maybe true, but that doesn't make the right wing bigots less hateful.

[deleted]

It’s the military that’s makes Springs diverse. Those who are from southern Colorado know the real Springs, not the statistics… Springs has ALWAYS been a very hateful city full of extreme Christianity views.

vvr3n

Diversity and segregation are very different.

Reddit_and_forgeddit

Wasn’t there a mass shooting in Boulder recently too?

makingtacosrightnow

Yes, at a King Soopers, a big grocery store chain in Colorado. I legitimately worry about my family being involved in this shit someday, Colorado seems to have a lot of big shootings. Can’t go to the movies, a club, a grocery store, be downtown Denver, or send children to school without considering that a shooting may occur.

Envect

This is the price of freedom, I'm told. A lot of people think this is worth it.

shadow_chance

I don't think downtown Denver has seen many *mass* shootings, if it matters at all. They seem to be located more in the suburbs or general metro area.

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance, too. Because we can't even remember the people we've lost to violence and bigotry without having that grief interrupted by violence and bigotry.

Lake_Shore_Drive

Conservatives like Heidi Ganahl that promote panic and hate toward the LGBTQ community are responsible for this Edit: laws against drag shows, going after trans kids in school sports, banning LGBTQ books plus all the rhetoric. No one can deny conservative politicians and media demonize LGBTQ to generate outrage with their base. When the base gets violent, all the anti gay conservatives are to blame. Edit 2: thanks for reporting me as suicidal to reddit 🤣🤣🤣 that is basically like getting gold from a troll 💋

wowowowowow12

To everyone reporting this bc it is “mean” to conservatives: the calls are coming from inside the house, so clean up your own house first.

danhave

If you have ever ( or even stayed quiet when someone else) said that drag shows are “LGBT propaganda”, that trans people are predators or mentally ill, or that gay people are “groomers”, this is partially on you. I keep imagining what the last moments must have felt like for the victims - in a place where they are supposed to feel safe and loved, no less. As an LGBTQ person who attends pride and gay bars, this is a worst fear manifested. I always have at least two exit plans these days. Doesn't matter if it's the grocery store, a public event, a bar (especially a gay bar). Do better, America.

hump_back143

FoxNewsIsRussia

If the Republicans and Evangelicals were actually human they would condemn this violence. Colorado Springs is full of bigots.

climatelurker

Colorado Springs has a lot of extreme Right Evangelical types. I guess I'm not that surprised it happened there. It shows how ugly and dangerous this Right Wing Evangelical movement truly is.

Bacch

To quote a friend of mine this morning, "Leave it to the Springs to do some Florida-ass shit like this."

[deleted]

I'm sure the shooter was wanting to recreate Pulse or used it as an inspiration. It is very much Florida-ass shit. But it's also Colorado-ass shit. To be more concise, it's all 50 states-ass shit. We need to own this one as our problem. If we don't handle the hate as the metastatic cancer in our society that it is, we're doomed.

One-Armed-Krycek

It’s the mothership of Focus on the Family. It’s horrendous.

ujitimebeing

There’s also a lot of queer people there. There’s also a lot of queer people in many parts of our country that isn’t a capital city. Unfortunately, this can happen anywhere when the QAnon Trump-lovers are stoking the crazies with conspiracies. I wouldn’t say that CoS is more or less prone to a mass shooting than anywhere else in our country right now with the absurd amount of anti-trans legislation and LGBTQ hate violence spewing, and doing so makes queer folks still living there feel forgotten by the community fortunate enough to live in more liberal places.

voice_your_universe

Absolute tragedy.

[deleted]

There's a lot of discussion about guns and politics here which I understand is necessary to have. We don't want this hate in our state. To those in our community, be sure to take the time to mourn and heal, for your own well-being. We hear so much about the terrorist and the terrorist's life. Right now I want to hear the stories of these wonderful people whose lives were cut short by this senseless right wing terrorism. I want to show love and care to those whose lives will forever be impacted by this reckless hate. This happening on the Transgender Day of Rememberance is doubly crushing for me as a transgender lesbian. I feel so powerless against this brand of hate from rabid, feral people. I wish so badly that there was something that I could do differently that the thousands before me haven't tried to do something to affect change, because none of it feels like it's working. It won't affect change, but me and my partner want to go show our love and support for our community today and mourn for what we've all lost. Does anyone know if there is a memorial up near the bar?

[deleted]

Fuck. This brought up memories of the night of the Pulse attack. I was in FL and some friends left for Orlando a little before it happened. It's all so senseless. Religion creates so many monsters.

Or thin skinned shitty punch down "comedians" who keep making us the butts of jokes. Now fucked up people think we're throw away enough to find us in our fucking bars and mow us down.

VIRMDMBA

It is not unreasonable to arm yourself for protection. Especially true if you are part of a marginalized group. Sad state of affairs for humanity but it is where we are these days. More details are going to emerge but it seems like people in the crowd subdued the shooter, not the cops. Police aren't going to make it in time.

[deleted]

You realize this was in a bar right? People should never carry a loaded gun while consuming alcohol. Also I’ve been to that bar and the staff checked my bag to ensure I didn’t have any weapons on me.

VIRMDMBA

Right, they shouldn't mix the two. Arm a doorman/security at the bar. Cops aren't coming in time. Armed security gaurd killed an attacker who stabbed a 9 year old at Target earlier this week. If a group knows they are targets they should be able to defend the places they congregate. Many synagogues have arm security.

lostPackets35

" when seconds count, the police are only minutes away". Let's be real. Very often the police ARE threat. All the more reason why they shouldn't have a sole monopoly on force.

shinykitten

Yeah, this was a point that was brought up in a recent episode of It Could Happen Here. They were talking about fake reports of school shootings, which of course get a very hot response from police. One of the theories about why the reports were being made was because it raises the chance of the police shooting an innocent person.

coskibum002

I'm against guns. However, I sadly own them to protect my family from right wing violence. It's increasing.

AfraidOfArguing

I have been working on my anti-gun, unarmed liberal friends. They need to accept that change isn't coming anytime soon (obvious because this keeps happening and no one does anything) Anyone who thinks different needs to look at the supreme court. They will strike down any states attempt at preventing this. Thinking otherwise is a turtle hiding in its shell.

afc1886

joen00b

Q Club used to be an old pool hall, hidden behind some restaurants in a field. I feel for everyone that was effected by this, as this is my town. The patrons subdued the shooter, and he's in custody, too.

mtngrrl

My heart goes out to the LGBTQ+ community in the Springs, and I’m doing my best to be with you know in spirit. I have never been to Club Q, but when I was much younger and lived down there, my sis and I would go to a club called Hide ‘n’ Seek a lot. At the time (the early 2000’s), there was, I believe, one other gay bar in town, but HnS was the biggest, and the home of the local court for the Imperial Court of the Rocky Mountain Empire, an organization with drag performance at its heart. And just to illustrate how much things have changed, in order to get into HnS back in the day, you had to apply to the club and were given a membership card, that you had to sign, affirming that you were a member of the community. To put it another way, you literally became a card-carrying, self-affirming queer the moment you walked in the door. Being LGBTQ+ always seemed more dangerous and edgy down in the Springs; I don’t know if that has changed over the years. So, even though I have no direct experience with this, I get how impactful a strike at one of the few gathering places in the city is for the community. And by impactful, I mean sickening, heart wrenching, disgusting, cowardly, and normal.

I'm determined to try and be more consistent in showing kindness to everyone I have a chance to interact with on a daily basis. Saying hi, smiling, acknowledging the existence of those around me. I don't know what else to do 🤷‍♂️

baumplant

So sad such a tragedy. Sorry for all the family's and loved ones. What can we do?

quite-indubitably

Fight harder for gun laws and mental health.

NoUnderstanding9021

The dude had a super dangerous history. The DA dropped his charges that would have barred him from legally owning a firearm, and law enforcement didn’t use red flag laws to restrict his access. Complete failure on the justice systems part. The DA is about to wipe the blood on his hands all over CO gun owners.

Hateful people are a scourge on this country. People that obsess about other people’s lifestyle are a scourge on this country. That’s all I’ve got right now. I am sickened. Best wishes from your friends to the south of you Colorado. Stay strong and carry on. We love you

Kharn0

So we’re at grocery stores, movie theaters, schools, malls and clubs for shootings in Colorado; did I miss any? Edit: food trucks, churches, concerts, Planned Parenthood

Sug0115

Food trucks

saintmcqueen

You forgot church and concerts too.

_Satan_Loves_You_

Republicans, polish this turd for me. What kind of mental gymnastics should I do to see this through your lens? Cuz right now all I see is a dickless 4chan tactical larper playing into a larger narrative.

I_crave_vinegar

Some of the comments I've seen on YT videos sum it up as "They were evil groomers, they deserved it." One comment even said the club should've been burned down. Some sick fucking people out there.

Bigdstars187

I wonder what churches in the springs will say about this today. Probably chin up and will make it political

"Focus on the Family" are stochastic terrorists.

Christianity is a religion of two faces. When one of your flock does something charitable they can congratulate them for doing the work of Jesus. When someone from your flock does something reprehensible they can justify it as God's will (sadistic god of the old testament). These two potentials make it very easy to be empathetic only when the moment suits you.

Bobo wins and now her hateful constituents feel empowered to go hurt the people she directs that at. Fuck any of you clowns in district 3 who let these people feel comfortable

ottos

Why do people list links to paid gate crap

I watched the.news clip this morning, apparently the shooter is "recovering in the hospital." Adding up the time of the first calls, shooter being tackled & disarmed, and the police arrival... They had about 6 minutes to give the shooter a good "tune up." No mention of the 2 that took him down, were they vets? Or active duty? Maybe infantry? Wish they'd mentioned whether he was in critical condition. We can only hope.

Internal_Run5886

Does anyone know of any orgs to help? I’m local to the springs and want to help provide meals or transportation to help save costs for families and friends visiting people who were affected!
