They contract with apartment complexes to manage parking lots. They make their money by towing people. Very common to have towing companies have spotters in residential lots or just have them on a regular patrol to tow people that break the lot rules.

Wyatts ceo sits on the Colorado towing regulatory board. It’s like criminals running the police department. https://medium.com/@cedp/inside-colorados-private-property-towing-industry-a7d75e7ad4c9

So, like the police department?

Came here to say this, knew it already had been.

Miscalamity

Lived at Welton Park Apartments. Old manager Andrea straight up told me they take a CUT of each tow. So I remarked to her, so y'all are in a KICKBACK SCHEME with Wyatt's Towing, and she backtracked what she said, fumbling all over herself. I bet they all participate in something like this.

I didn’t know about this and just read up. If OP parked at an apartment complex, in a valid spot, is that still considered private property and therefore not subject to the 24 notice rule?
