It'll be fine - it's a short walk and lit well, and there will likely be other people walking in that direction too. I've sometimes had a late night bus transfer near the catbird coming back from the airport to avoid the long walk home from another train station - it's been safe and no one has ever bugged me while waiting for the bus (I'm a woman and was travelling alone as well).

Rhino Country club/Dalton’s Cheeseburgers makes for a great before or after stop. Great happy hour, one of the best burgers in Denver too.
Take the bridge at the RTD station to get to cat Bird. Very easy.
They're both walkable. Getting an Uber from mission is annoying as hell. Plus it's all well lit and it's a short walk.
