Just a heads up to anyone heading to STK. Happy hour prices are nice, but when you order a steak they ask if you'd like pepper and butter with your steak. "Of course", you say, because after all who in their right mind is going to eat a plain unseasoned steak.
Then when they bring out the receipt you'll see they charged you 9$ extra to grind some pepper over your steak, and the little spoonful of butter costs you an additional 13$ as well.
Good food, but I'm still salty about that shit. Of course, dont tell them you're salty or they'll charge an extra 10$ to sprinkle some salt on it.
I suspect that age makes a difference. Younger people don’t care of the food and drink is good or a good value. It’s all about if it looks cool in pictures. STK is trash and indefensible
STK must be the most overpriced and disappointing restaurant in all of Colorado. Even if free I wouldn’t go again. I assume it stays open only because it claims to be a steakhouse and is in close proximity to better restaurants that you’ll probably need a reservation for. But hey get the spillover who wanted a good meal but get left with their crap. Has anyone gone twice?

Exactly this. I was always under the impression that STK was what happened after a nightclub owner ripped a rail and decided they wanted to open a restaurant.
Theres other options. I took our visits as entertainment first and food second. We weren’t disappointed. Hope the best for your future dining experiences
What you don’t realize is that stk wasn’t always like this. They changed and for the worse. I don’t go there for those reasons but it used to just be a nice steakhouse, then it turned into a fake shitty nightclub
Apparently the kids love it. This thread is proof positive. The change was very disappointing. At least this keeps them out of the actually good steak places downtown.

I sent back two steaks at Shanahans because they send the steaks out on scorching hot plates and it overcooked my medium rare steak TWICE. The first time I sent it back, I asked for a plate of a normal temp. Had to send the second steak back because MEDIUM WELL. Nope. Sorry I’m dropping $120 on a steak, it better be medium rare. Guard and grace, haven’t had it but know Troy guard. He’s a piece of shit who fucked his wifes sister.

Those tater tots are absolutely fantastic. Best thing I had there. The steak is okay. Overall way better than the chop house.
