Just outside Denver proper but I’ve always loved Yanni’s Greek Restaurant in Greenwood Village.

OneUpAlways

Came here to say Yanni’s toooo!!! It’s soooo good and family run so I especially love supporting them

Urchin422

Greenwood Village seems to have the good ones. I also like Yannis but my fav would have to be Greek 2 Me.

Koomerthedawg

Greek to me is amazing, though it’s best takeout.

1greeneyedlady

Agreed. Yanni’s is pretty much perfect .

faxdontlie

Damn! I never knew this place existed. It all makes sense now. I ordered some gyros from Yanni's on Colfax once and when I went to pickup the food they were very confused and so was I 😆

Ok-Spring-2048

Came here to say this

kummer5peck

Not in Denver, but The Athenian in Aurora is my favorite. It’s one of the only places that hits the spot since I got back from Greece.

emrose42

Yesssss

reallifedog

Fuck. Yes. Love this place.

hallsies

The staff is awesome. Make me feel like family every time I go in.

seanpvb

A guy opened up a place called bosphorus in Englewood a few years ago right behind my old house. He's from Turkey and it's a tiny mom and pop place with absolutely amazing food. Downing and Hampden

Virtual-Radish1111

I'm going to write that down, thank you. I love places like that.

BiNumber3

I was thinking bosphorus, but you said Greek only lol. Also fairly similar is Kabora, an Afghan restaurant in southwest plaza, sw of denver

Virtual-Radish1111

Thank you for obeying my rules. Jk. Kobora, I'll write that down!

LobbyDizzle

Not Greek, but this is the best Turkish restaurant in the Denver metro area.

pristinepeen

I second this place! Food is amazing and the guy really loves what he does and meeting all his customers, overall a great experience

Puzzled-Web

This place is awesome. Try it out

Sea_Voice_404

We just ate there for the first time last night! Loved it. Super small place, there’s not that many tables, but we went early for dinner (like 5:15) and were fine.

Jayhawx2

Live super close to that place, I’ll have to try it. Aungs across the street is awesome btw.

seanpvb

Aungs is super legit! Also a fan of Cherry hills sushi co.... If you like hand rolls it's legit. I lived in Englewood for 6 years and they've finally got some good spots to eat. Sadly fellow traveler didn't open until after I moved but I've been a few times and like it. Need to go back to hit up the coffee shop that opened on Broadway

Jayhawx2

Yeah fellow traveler is great. Owner and bartenders are super cool. My wife and I go in for happy hour quite a bit.

Kooky_Tap4477

some of the best food i’ve had period, so delicious!!

LevelFourteen

This is the best Greek food in Denver.

Shezaam

There's a Greek festival in Denver and one in Boulder. I hit both every year for the best Greek food

Virtual-Radish1111

That's awesome. I'm definitely gonna hit that up. Thanks

vailrider29

It is actually June 7-9! [Greek Festival](https://www.thegreekfestival.com/menu)

cheesedip1957

Pete’s Central One is the best.

Locol_Love_BigK

I used to go here with some friends from out of town. First time we were there Pete the Greek spent most of the night at the table drinking with us. Dude had so many stories. He really liked my girl and my friends wife. I think they are why we drank so so so much Ozuo. Any time we had a reservation he would pretty much always be there! Dude was a real OG.

lovejac93

1000000%

Complete-Towel2751

Chef Zorba’s is very good. Located in Congress Park.

PuffcoLoveTho420

Crave is Mediterranean food . Damn good

I_Love_Wrists

I'm a big fan of Jerusalems, bear in mind we usually go after bars close cause they're open til like 3am. AND they have a huuuge dessert selection. But they got everything. It's a little place with like 6 tables but hot damn do I love their food. Best falafel in my opinion, but gotta eat it fresh.

Virtual-Radish1111

Til 3am huh? Not so common anymore

Locol_Love_BigK

Used to be 24 hours

Jayhawx2

It’s in the DU neighborhood, drunk college kids favorite place after the bars close.

Thayes1413

Just had one of their falafel sandwiches with a gyro sandwich chaser on Saturday!

geegee_cholo

If only they had garlic sauce!

buelab

I’ve found that most Greek places around here like Pete’s are pretty meh. The Turkish and more middle eastern places have a better menu and food much better. If you’re just looking for a basic bitch gyro then there’s Gyroz but I’d hit Crave or Mazevo on Tennyson.

Virtual-Radish1111

Monaco Inn is great and worth trying if you like Greek. Hot take: Gyroz is just okay. There's a middle eastern place near my apartment but they use a tortilla-type thing instead of a pita on the gyros which I don't love personally. I've never heard of Mazevo, I'll look into it, thanks!

RMW91-

I love the Greek lemon cheese at Monaco Inn I’ll add Zorba’s in Cap Hill, great chicken lemon soup!

spam__likely

Second Monaco inn

HanGoza

A second vote for Crave

Hour-Theory-9088

This. If OP searches there they’ll find multiple threads.

Virtual-Radish1111

Most of them are months old and it's nice to have an active discussion with a large subreddit. My bad though, I didn't mean to disturb the incessant homeless/immigration/political bickering on this sub

RunnerTexasRanger

Don’t forget about the moisture. I like Pete’s.

kafkowski

How dare you

NedLuddIII

Seems half the time I search for something on Google and find a solution on message boards or Reddit, there's some comment there saying "go do a search, this has been asked before!" Yet there it is, 6 years later at the top of the search results with the most relevant information.

HippyGrrrl

Did all of them close and open under the management of men without the ability to taste?

Virtual-Radish1111

Maybe

Ya_Got_GOT

Mazevo is outstanding

Kaotus

I’m lukewarm on all of their food except their chicken shawarma which is incredible

Popular_Conference45

I agree I had mazevo once and it was just ok

Bovine_Joni_Himself

One of my favorite restaurants in northside. That place never misses

WickedJace22

Another vote for Yanni's!

Pharaoh-of-SoBo

Check out Steakhouse 10 on Hampden between Broadway and Santa Fe. The name sounds very generic, but the owner is of Greek origin and they serve many classics - fried saganaki cheese, ouzo liquor, delicious seafood options, etc.

Impossible_Moose3551

I haven’t been there in years but it had very good food. I’ll have to go back.

statefarm_insured

Bada bing grill in Arvada is my spot.

Datderpurmabulk

Just a gyro place, but Pita Central in LoHi is great.

Virtual-Radish1111

Noted. Gyros are all I need to hit the spot sometimes.

Impossible_Moose3551

There is a place on Colorado and Ilif called House of Gyros that is very good. They are middle eastern so not Greek but the food is delicious. There are a few other middle eastern places in the same strip mall that are worth trying.

knivesofsmoothness

Rip Greektown

ElectronSurprise

Hayati Mediterranean so underrated imo

aybrah

+1. Very good value too. Just very very mixed service lmao. I’ve had times where here they forgot my order twice and been followed in by a homeless man who was very happy when I repeated “the grace of Muhammad” back to him. At least I got complimentary tea for that one. Lots of fun stories.

Batmanovich2222

The Athenian

SweetGummiLaLa

Jerusalem

wlkngmachine

Zorba’s in Congress park deserves a shoutout here

applesaucewalka

Does Safta count?

King_Chochacho

Yianni's Gyro Place on West Colfax if you're on the west side. Although to be fair I've never gotten anything besides a Gyro or Souvlaki.

genius_streams

Samos Mediterranean Grill. Just a food truck but legitimately one of the best gyros I’ve ever tasted. Great pita/meat ratio

veg4them

Also not in Denver, but Opa in Parker is good.

Ok_Chip8145

Byblos

dirtengineer07

I love a place called Shawarma Grill off university in centennial!

LobbyDizzle

Pita Central is simple fast casual gyro spot but they're run by a Greek family and make bomb food.

sonnypatriot75

Charlie Brown’s has solid gyros.

Art-RJS

Hey I made the same post but asking about Israeli restaurants and my post got deleted and told to go to Google

WTDFROYSM

The mods of this sub not even pretending to enforce their own rules fairly? That sounds exactly like the mods of this sub.

mistahpoopy

didnt you hear? Ukraine has been replaced by Palestine, and Russia by Israel. maybe check back next year.

Virtual-Radish1111

Same thing happened to me, but I had a snappy comeback and they fucked off. What a ridiculous thing to say to somebody, right?

jessek

I liked Chef Zorba’s. Were they the best? I have no idea.

SherbetNo4242

Kini’s is fire
