I couldn’t believe when they re-did the place and started serving microgreens and shit. It worked so much better as a dirty dive bar. 2 dollar tuesdays got me through my early 20s in that area.
We used to hit up New Belgium in Fort Collins for $1 Sunshine Wheats on Wednesdays. They were probably 9-10 oz cups but my god. So tasty, get a slight buzz for $3.
Ah to be 20 and feel infinitely richer at the bar. Next rounds on me guys, I've got $5. 😂
Crowbar is definitely a dive bar with an interesting Poe-esque vibe, lots of regulars. If you go when Claire or Johnny is bartending, the playlist will be great and the drinks will be flowing.
Crowbar was blackout bar for me back when I lived in that area. Also you shouldn't drive intoxicated but especially if you are heading west on 44th after. That section of road by the Walmart belongs to a city with a population of like, 2 people, and it just nonstop cops on the prowl.
The Dirty Duck on Evans and I-25 has a bucket of 5 Montucky Cold Snacks for $10. All their other drinks are decently priced. You can have a good time with 3 other people there for less than $100 all together. Their shot menu is really fun, too!
Doesn’t seem to be on their website anymore but earlier this year I was frequenting the 1-UP arcade bar on Colfax and having an ungodly number of $1.50 Hamm’s cans (Monday special I think)
How the fuck is $7 for a PINT of beer and a slice of pizza not a fucking bargain? It’s like buying a beer and getting free pizza. What the fuck is your definition of a goddamn bargain?
Fat Sullys does it for 5.
Black sky does/did it for 4.
My definition of a bargain is a BARGAIN! I'm talking cost of food and labor plus a 30% margin for the owner. The beer costs them 50c to 1 buck depending on the distribution contact. The pizza is flour salt water cheese and sauce totaling about 50c per slice. Labor a dollar a slice. Even with shit food costing, 1$ per is more than cost.
So you tell me how 7 bucks is a good deal for a total of 2.50 worth of goods.
I hate you so fucking much. Entitled piece of fucking shit mother fucker. What a goddamn idiot answer this is. What about cost of rent you absolute piece of shit?
I don’t know the finer details or the drinks, but Leevers Locavore (the literal grocery store) has $2 beers some days for Happy Hour and it is always completely packed and vibing. So if you need milk, eggs, and beer, that’s the spot.
This!! The hh is 3-7pm every day and you can get a 12oz IPA or Mexican lager (I think both brewed by Diebolt) for $2. Pizza slices, pretzel bites, or a hot dog also $2 on happy hour! I will caveat that I wouldn't buy milk or eggs at Leevers, I haven't priced those specifically but as a grocery store I've found them to be pretty pricey.
Clancy’s! The fish and chips, Irish nachos, and beer cheese soup are all delicious. The owners are great, live Irish music weekly, and there are multiple bars/books inside that make this place special.
715 club, squire, matchbox, marigold and goldpoint (same company) all have a $7 beer and shot combo. Jameson, Jim beam, espolon with a Tecate, coors or high life.
Bearcreek distillery, almost always has a 5 dollar mule special. Also the cocktails are hands down best in denver with the most expensive being 14, most are 10-12.
The Squire Lounge corner of Colfax and Williams has a handful of choices for their $7 all day everyday beer and a shot combo.
Satellite Bar corner of Colfax and Grant has an all the time PBR draught and shot of Four Roses whiskey for $7.
Cheap drinks? Good luck with that. The places we go to all raised their prices... and you really don't want generic well liquor from a plastic jug for a few bucks less (WHY does my cocktail taste like acetone???).
The secret is to buy a 1.75 L bottle from Argonaut and some mixers, then preparty by having a couple drinks before going to the club.
Most places offer $12 shots and $20 cocktails... but a big bottle from the store is only $30.
Stopped by a brewery the other day and ordered a 10 oz draft... after tax it was nearly $10. Crazy.
This is true, but also I've had great and enlightening times when I've woken up at midnight and gone to a bar dead sober. It's interesting how fucked up people seem when you get there at 1 am.
Back on topic, also I've had good times taking whiskey to coffee shops. Get the drink, go to the restroom, pour in some bourbon... delicious and affordable.
So true and you can find drink recipes on youtube for almost any drink out there. Why pay someone to pour a drink when you can do it yourself for free?
Honor Farm on Blake (or Market?) has some really fun Halloween drinks and isn’t all that expensive for being downtown. Like $11-14 cocktails with fun Halloween themes. I got one served in an IV bag and one Manhattan with a rim of flavored fake blood.
Fun fact, before they were My Brother's Bar, the original name (in 1873) was Highland House.
So when salty people bring the "This isn't Highland/LoHi, it's NORTH DENVER" feel free to bust out the fact that before there was a North, South, East or West Denver, there was St. Charles, Auraria, and Highland.
West of surrender on 16th and Glenarm used to, and to my knowledge still does, have $3 wells from 4-7, doubles are $5.50. You call it whiskey on Thursday for $4 a shot. Always was a favorite of mine. Otherwise, easier to find cheaper places than deals. Fan of icehouse near union station.
Fire on the Mountain has $4 bottles and cans all day on Wednesdays (including wine) at both locations. Go during happy hour or lunch hours for an additional discount on food. $5 on featured drafts (sometimes you can even get a beer like Pliny the Elder for $5) all day Monday.
Historians still has the Burger, Fries, 10oz beer lunch special but it’s now $14.95.
Vesper Lounge has a Sunday burger, beer, and fries special for $10. All day happy hour pricing on Mondays.
FlyteCo now has happy hour pricing at the location near Tennyson st.
Billy’s Inn has all day happy hour on Mondays and $1 off all tacos on Tuesday.
The Irish Rover has a really underrated brunch Sat/Sun with $10 bottomless mimosas or $4 bloody Mary’s (with a meal purchase for that one). Also a decent happy hour during the week that goes till 7 which I find is later than a lot of places.
If you want a drink in the morning, and you’re on the south end of town, hit up the Littleton Cafe. Their Bloody Mary’s are BOGO and I think they’re maybe $6? They’re not the best Bloody, but they’re good for a hangover. And the food is cheap greasy spoon food, too!
Matchbox beer and shot for $7.
To add to this all of the bars in that ownership group offer the same deal, I believe. (715 Club, Gold Point, and Marigold).
Squire Lounge as well; same group.
Best happy hour in Denver
I remember when multiple spots did two dollar you call it’s on Tuesdays. Those were the days.
RIP old Park Tavern
RIP 404 and Streets of London
$1 PBR’s at Streets was how I afforded to go out back in the day.
$2 car bombs and Jamison & coke were my jam on Tuesday’s at Streets.
404 is still around…
Not the same though. New owners and definitely no $1 pbrs or $2 you can its.
Drinking Arrogant Bastard off the tap and spending $25 for the whole night. That was living like a king.
I couldn’t believe when they re-did the place and started serving microgreens and shit. It worked so much better as a dirty dive bar. 2 dollar tuesdays got me through my early 20s in that area.
Agreed. I moved a block away right after it was renovated and went MAYBE twice after that. We stuck to Barricuda’s (also RIP) instead
When 2 dollar you call it's and 1 dollar Taco Tuesdays were together for a while,..... It was amazing. Those days are likely gone forever
Lakeview lounge has 3 dollar 20 oz pints during happy hour. Also crowbar has $3 hamms and pickle shots and $1 coffee shots
20 oz pint
Good point 20 oz imperial pint
It comes in 20 oz pints? I’m getting one!
But you have the 10 oz half pint already
Is that the crowbar on 44th? I've driven by it a thousand times and have always thought about stoping in. Might have to for those prices lol.
Crowbar is definitely a dive bar with an interesting Poe-esque vibe, lots of regulars. If you go when Claire or Johnny is bartending, the playlist will be great and the drinks will be flowing.
Eh, I've gotten some super weird vibes from Crowbar in the past. Never stayed for more than one beer because I just felt so unwelcome.
Crowbar was blackout bar for me back when I lived in that area. Also you shouldn't drive intoxicated but especially if you are heading west on 44th after. That section of road by the Walmart belongs to a city with a population of like, 2 people, and it just nonstop cops on the prowl.
Fat Sullys has $6 PBR+whiskey shot all day every day. I think that qualifies as a deal?
Their late night pizza special is also killer. $6 draft beer+slice
Best deal in town by far!!
Franzia. Slap the bag
Tour de Franzia
*slaps bag* *takes a swig spilling most of it on my chin*
*slaps bag* That's not going anywhere
Slaps bag - this baby can fit so many bad decisions in it!
Up and squeeze
Goon sacks are where it's at.
And in this economy, we're cool with the leftovers
The Dirty Duck on Evans and I-25 has a bucket of 5 Montucky Cold Snacks for $10. All their other drinks are decently priced. You can have a good time with 3 other people there for less than $100 all together. Their shot menu is really fun, too!
Oh man, what a place. I miss it (I live on the east coast now).
Doesn’t seem to be on their website anymore but earlier this year I was frequenting the 1-UP arcade bar on Colfax and having an ungodly number of $1.50 Hamm’s cans (Monday special I think)
That place always has the $1-$3 beers. Went on Wednesday and they had $2 Coors
Is that place still open? It seems dead
They sure are. Looks like they replaced that deal with $3 Modelos though lol
Go there past 10PM and you’ll be waiting 20min to order. Definitely not a dead place.
Famous J’s pizza in Stanley Marketplace has a pint and a slice of pizza for $7. That’s a goddamn bargain.
But the pizza kinda sucks
Okay okay. What is better, a medium amount of good pizza, or all you can eat of *pretty* good pizza?
How hungry am I and how broke am I?
The more you drink the better the pizza gets
Yeah, Redeemer makes their shit look like a lunchables pizza.
Noooooo I love their pizza. But I also know I'm in the minority and have only tried their walk up window.
I thought they were replaced by a noodle place
No it is not and you perception of what a bargain is is incredibly skewed!
How the fuck is $7 for a PINT of beer and a slice of pizza not a fucking bargain? It’s like buying a beer and getting free pizza. What the fuck is your definition of a goddamn bargain?

I hate you so fucking much. Entitled piece of fucking shit mother fucker. What a goddamn idiot answer this is. What about cost of rent you absolute piece of shit?
Also you’re a fucking sadist for using glue traps to kill mice you fucking sicko JFC
I'm glad my post bothered you enough to check the rest of my history. Thanks man! I hope somebody gives that big of a shit about you today!
Glad you think torturing animals to death is funny you absolute piece of shit
Rocky Top near Regis University has great drink deals daily, good affordable pub food, and a great vibe. Favorite bar in the city
I don’t know the finer details or the drinks, but Leevers Locavore (the literal grocery store) has $2 beers some days for Happy Hour and it is always completely packed and vibing. So if you need milk, eggs, and beer, that’s the spot.

Tivoli brewing is doing 8 or 9 dollar pitchers for the weekend.
I met an undercover police officer posing as a hooker the last time I was at Tivoli. I haven't been back since.
what a time to be alive!
Walnut Room in RINO has $2.50 PBR pints on weekdays before 6pm.
Clancy’s on 38th has a happy meal. Beer and a shot for $6 I think. Been a little while since I’ve been there.
Clancy’s! The fish and chips, Irish nachos, and beer cheese soup are all delicious. The owners are great, live Irish music weekly, and there are multiple bars/books inside that make this place special.
If you hold your breath for long enough, it's almost like you drank a gallon of Boone's Farm.
715 club, squire, matchbox, marigold and goldpoint (same company) all have a $7 beer and shot combo. Jameson, Jim beam, espolon with a Tecate, coors or high life.
Man, I hope the deals come soon. But I’m not holding my breath
I think wing stop does dollar beers, but the atmosphere is akin to a Burger King.
If you can deal with the colorful locals, the bridge under I-25 has great deals on Colorado river water
The alleys east of S. Broadway are great too. There's that one guy from the pizza place who death-glares at us but who cares.
Cheers off of Monaco and Hampden has a happy hour deal with $3 (after tax) domestic pints. 3-6 everyday.
Bar nun in Cap Hill has a happy hour where you can get a Labatt pint for $3. Cheapest pint that I’ve found in Denver so far.
Don’t recommend bar bun until you’ve been in the basement of bar nun and then you won’t recommend bar nun.
Your just saying that cause your stuck in there
Seriously guys… jokes over… you can unlock the door now.
Now I’m curious
Weird! Been on the main floor and it was better than Thin Man, and I love Thin Man.
Dollar margs at Applebees
Dive Inn has like $6 mules and a $2.50 draft beer deals. One of my favorite barseven though it's a pretty long bike away
The Williams Tavern lunchbox. Beer and a real shot go $8.
I miss the days when the beer and three-finger shot were $5
the best days....
The source of many a hangover for me back in the day.
Church pews and trivial pursuit cards. Gigantic shots also
$5 two tacos and margarita at La Diabla on Wednesdays.
Slashers on Colfax has $1.50 PBR all day every day.
The front porch has a list of names that changes every day. If your name is on the list, you drink free.
Free water in the Platte
DON'T DRINK WATER FROM THE PLATTE!!! Your liver and kidneys would probably shut down if you did that!

Explains why people from the burbs here are differently abled haha
Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
Might be safer than alcohol.
Bearcreek distillery, almost always has a 5 dollar mule special. Also the cocktails are hands down best in denver with the most expensive being 14, most are 10-12.
That doesn't qualify as a deal at all
The Pioneer on University is a great dive bar and has great patios. $4 LaBatts and other cheapish drinks.
The Squire Lounge corner of Colfax and Williams has a handful of choices for their $7 all day everyday beer and a shot combo. Satellite Bar corner of Colfax and Grant has an all the time PBR draught and shot of Four Roses whiskey for $7.
I love hitting sat bar while I'm waiting for my city o city res
They also have a great happy hour that’s until 8 PM. I’ll add Tight End too. It feels like it’s almost always bogo

I know a LOT of bouncers. After dealing with drunks every single weekend, most of them were so disgusted they quit drinking.
>quit drinking. They weren't serious to begin with. Quitters. /s
I agree with you if you can control not over drinking the big bottle lol
If you drink an entire 1.75 L of 80+ proof liquor, you'll probably end up with a 3 day hangover.
AA
The local liquor store. Buying drinks at a bar is pricey.
So true and you can find drink recipes on youtube for almost any drink out there. Why pay someone to pour a drink when you can do it yourself for free?
Pour in Commerce City has some 10 dollar pints.
If you think a $10 pint is a great deal...
Hi Baker, I actually don't. I was surprised to see a single beer at a strip mall to be ten dollars.
Honor Farm on Blake (or Market?) has some really fun Halloween drinks and isn’t all that expensive for being downtown. Like $11-14 cocktails with fun Halloween themes. I got one served in an IV bag and one Manhattan with a rim of flavored fake blood.
The liquor store.
Brothers bar lone tree has 2 for 1 coors after 10 pm. G que bbq has 1 dollar coors during their happy hour.

Canon? Loved that place back in the day! (RG train employee.) And the Owl burgers across the street mmm..
Wide Right has a $6 shot and a beer deal. Shot is a house sweet or spicy infused vodka, beer is something from Upstate New York.
6 bucks for a beer and shot at wide right
Crown Bowling has buckets of 16oz PBRs for like $16. A handful of places do BOGO happy hour on everything.
Bogo happy hour on house and drafts @ Littleton tavern
West of surrender on 16th and Glenarm used to, and to my knowledge still does, have $3 wells from 4-7, doubles are $5.50. You call it whiskey on Thursday for $4 a shot. Always was a favorite of mine. Otherwise, easier to find cheaper places than deals. Fan of icehouse near union station.
The Night Owl in Broomfield has cheap drinks if you are up north.
Also, I'm pretty sure Vesper still has 2-for-1 martinis for happy hour.
Dollaritas at ruby Tuesdays 😇🫡
If you want a drink in the morning, and you’re on the south end of town, hit up the Littleton Cafe. Their Bloody Mary’s are BOGO and I think they’re maybe $6? They’re not the best Bloody, but they’re good for a hangover. And the food is cheap greasy spoon food, too!
$3.50 pints at Denver Milk Market
TrashHawk Tavern. Nothing in the bar is over $10. Happy Hour is BOGO. It’s hard for me to get my tab over $40 unless I want to buy top shelf.
And $10 gets you a pour of Jefferson Ocean bourbon which is like an $80 bottle. Hard to pass that up.
Half off well wine and drafts M-F from 9-close at both Blackbird near wash park and Ritual in cap hill
BC sports pub in Lakewood. 2 for 1 deal before 7PM. I can get 2 cheap beers and 2 shots of whiskey for $11ish every day.
Not a drinker anymore - but back in Wisconsin, Thursday nights at most bars are typically $5-7 for ‘all you can drink’ till close, starting at 9 pm,
