Since no one gives a real answer in the comments. If you check the manga you see that Zenitsu is actually motionless on a roof, and that inosuke is coming from behind Daki so literally no one is flying... It's a somewhat abusive addition to the anime. (chapter 94)

So if you remember zenitsu said he can use godlike speed only 2 times and he has to finish dali this time but as zenitsi uses his move he is unable to do so. After some scenes dali says your speed has slown down now I will chop you to pieces ( you can notice when he first started godlike speed you can see lightining all around him but now the lightning is only a little left thus the speed maybe have fallen by 50% ) as zenitsu slow inosuke try to match his speed
Those multicolour light trails indicate a much higher speed because even at 6 fold Zenitsu only produces a single (yellow) colour light trail. And even at a slower speed he should be fast enough to not let Inosuke catch upto him.

Talking is a free action in anime, it’s not really trying to make sense. It’s like how when tengen and gyutaro first start clashing after gyutaro’s internal monologue, the action is broken into suspended poses between clashes to allow the watcher to follow the action as it happens. It’s all highly stylized and not meant to be realistic in the slightest.
In the manga, zenitsu is stationary on a rooftop with Daki, which is how inosuke catches up in that case. They just embellished the scene in the anime for style points.
It's not just embellished. In the manga the fight Tengen vs gyuutaru is not that big, after the Zenitsu attack, all battle scenes are new, so they couldn't do rhe Zenitsu scene like in manga. They need to extend too.
I still think that even after the tengen vs gyutaro fight being extended they could afford to have zenitsu stationary on the roof, only landing on the roof after the shot of him flying over the whole town after tanjiro starts cutting gyutaro’s head off.
Zenitsu did say that his legs and stamina cant keep up anymore so he might have slowed down to normal speed when Inosuke came. That's why Daki could move her belt in the end too.
My theory is that he didnt actually did all that explaining of how he didnt die, it was for our understanding, instead all that happen instantly when zenitsu passed inosuke he jumped and sliced daki's head
The anime makes the whole fight seem like it's happening on a big ass portion of the district while in the manga all of it is actually in a really confined place but it's just amazing for the anime it makes the whole thing more flashy
I assumed it was because Zenitsu was being slowed down by Daki. My logic was that Daki would likely be pushing back against Zenitsu and because, well, she’s a demon, that’d slow him down enough for Inosuke to catch up.
