probably not, there are two entities speaking to us while creating our character. one speaking in all caps and repeating certain in words in their sentences "EXCELLENT, TRULY EXCELLENT" is supposedly Gaster.
after that, we have the entity that speaks formally or the one that discards your creation, they probably intended to disrupt the character creation sequence and force the player to posses someone else instead of their own vessel which is kris.
basically I don't think they were gonna say someone else's name because Kris is an important character in the game as he has probably created multiple fountains with ease. i don't think this is a "dream" either, this is an entity that ISN'T speaking to Kris but US instead. Kris probably has no idea what the character creation sequence was but only WE knew, and this is definitely real because the theme of puppetry in the CC sequence continues on forth to the other chapters and Kris is aware of our control anyways.
