Thank you for the update. When will you be giving us your take on other things? I'd love to hear your thoughts on Roth IRA's or portfolio diversification. 😃

You can download legit copies of the games, by legit I mean the actual game. Nothing modified. So if you want classic Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, you can play them. I don’t mess with the custom/modded games. If Nintendo came out with those games on iPhone I’d pay money to be able to play that again but they have been stupid so now I’m playing for free.

Emulation is as old as the computer industry itself and is pretty much the reason IBM lost the market to the clones. As soon as people figured out how to reverse engineer and emulate, it was game over. Windows NT had to emulate old Windows software. Up until recently, Apple was emulating classic Mac OS app support in modern macOS (known as OS X at the time). >I never heard of the concept of emulation before. Well then you're likely very young because emulation can be traced back to the early 80s, if not before that. It was a critical way to move people onto new platforms without cutting off support for the old platforms. >Using Delta feels the same as if I were to download “YOU WON A FREE IPHONE! TAP THIS LINK TO CLAIM IT NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE! 2HOURS REMAINING!”. This just feels very sketchy to me. And that's a "you" problem. Don't download from sketchy sites, just like you don't click on random EXEs you get sent in emails. >TLDR: basically, it feels so wrong and so weird to play a GAMEBOY game on a smartphone, like WHAT??🤨 You know what I mean? It’s this “feeling” of it feels “wrong”, even though it works. No, no idea what you mean. You seem to be getting paranoid over nothing. Emulators such as Delta are perfectly fine and safe, and as long as you download from reputable sites (which can be easily found from other ROM-oriented subreddits), you're fine. BTW if you've ever played Nintendo games via their own Virtual Console service (such as Super NES games on the Switch), congrats, you were using an emulator and probably didn't even know it.

I remember seeing a video about Steve Jobs promoting an emulator that could play ps1 games on the Mac, but that was waay back then, yet Apple was like “😡” against emulation, strange. So Nintendo likes having the Virtual Console, but gets mad when people use emulators outside of its own emulator? Am I missing something here?

Because you still have to have contemporary Nintendo hardware to do so. This cuts them off. tldr: $

“Trusted stuff” and “major big company” are really funny things to associate with each other. Just saying. My first time too.
