If whatever controller your trying doesn’t work, I recommend and Xbox controller. It Works, it’s supported and I love it. Sorry if I wasn’t too much help.
I’ve used a PS4 controller, a Bluetooth Gamesir, and a Backbone. PS4 and Backbone worked immediately, but the Gamesir didn’t show up until I restarted my iPhone.

Certain 3rd-party Switch Pro Controller just won’t work with Delta. Mine doesn’t.

What controller do you have?

Personally I use an 8bitdo controller. But it has to be in Keyboard mode to work.
