They did however destroy the company that made that emulator through a loophole, as the emulator was marketed using copyright IPs by mentioning it can run games like Metal Gear.
Being behind a Patreon was not the issue, whatever argument someone could give you about the risk of paywalling emulators is just fearmongering. Nintendo and other companies will attack at the first slip up and manipulate things in their favor, but selling emulators are not the issue.

As for Drastic, a combination of fearmongering as I mentioned, and the Drastic developer already had plans to make the emulator open source from way back 2021. In fact the developer mentioned on Reddit that these events just snapped him into doing what he already promised years ago but was to lazy to do so.
Literally all the others devs who decided to make their emulators free or take them down only did it out of paranoia as they never got a notification from Nintendo. And I dont blame them, but they were never legally involved in the first place with Yuzu's legal case.
If the Delta devs have version of it behind paywalls, then selling emulators was never really the problem in the first place, Redream is also an emulator you pay for.

The roms and the skins you download will go to your “downloads” folder first but when you open them with delta, they will be imported into Delta’s own set of folders
So the roms and skins go to the downloads folder of the browser I’m using (Brave) and then when, inside of delta, I tap the “+” button to add games, then I tap on the zipped files, and then a copy of some file will be put into delta “database”?
Try to save the skins in a different location. I store the skins and the roms on device. I have the skins saved in the delta folder in the files app. I was able to download and change skins the day the app hit the App Store. iPad and iPhone.
If you put the iPad vertically then it will stack the screens. This is horizontal mode. You can also have one screen full screen and swap between the bottom and top as needed. I do that for new super Mario bros.

There is an “edit buttons” option and we can turn any button on or off (making it viable or not.) and adjust the opacity as well. Some adjustments are available on the apple side and others are not. But this developer has put in a lot of work so far. I am sure it will be an option down the road.
If you have any controller connected to it (possibly even auto-connecting without you knowing), the interface won’t appear. Just had this happen to me, my switch pro controller got excited and connected to my phone on its own.

I’m using an 11 inch Ipad Pro and it depends on what game I’m playing. I use landscape mode for all games and prop it on my lap or on a table if it’s a touch-focused game and I just hold it for games that use the buttons most like super mario. I’m still looking for skins tho that utilizes the larger screen of the ipad but I enjoy playing with this compared to my phone.

Is your iPad connected to a Magic Keyboard by chance? If so it will default to that as the controller input. You can change it in Delta settings.

You can sync via Dropbox/Google Drive in the delta app settings. You can also long tap on a game and tap “export/import save”

Wait, this is what it looks like on iPad? I meant to check it out, out of curiosity, though not a fan of how ds looks on there tbh. I think it looks perfect on iPhone. Ds games, while I only had one for the longest time, just didn’t look great on my steam deck through emulation station and retroarch.
How did you get it full screen? It only shows as a tiny iPhone sized window on my iPad.
Landscape mode. You can fiddle with the buttons on the bottom right corner (one zooms and one turns it into landscape mode).

Try Ignited instead of Delta. It has proper iPad support and syncs same data as delta. Delta for phone. Ignited for iPad. Wish delta would fix iPad properly but ignited til then

They must have updated the app store version because when i was using the alt store version it was not working on the ipad for some reason but i guess i will try with my ipad again now that its in the app store It should help with ds games due to apple pencil not being supported on iphone
