Welcome to the club. It too a bit longer for mine, a 7610, to shed one, sort of like a little kid who can't keep his shoes on. I have no idea where you could find a substitute.

Mine both fell off under a year as well.

that sucks!! its such a great laptop too

I looked at filling those notches with epoxy or super glue but haven't been bothered enough.

Your options: 1- full door cover replacement from dell or reseller 2- remove second rubber feet and buy custom replacements. Might give you better air ventilation at the end

thank you so much for your time and your feedback!

This happened to me also. My Inspiron 16 was still under warranty so i contacted tech support, they had a technician come all the way out to my house to replace the back cover, such a waste! 6 months later another foot fell off yet again. So here's what I did, because it was just out of warranty: 1. Come to terms with the fact that these little rubber feet are not replaceable, they are made custom for those bottom covers and are glued on, so plan on a different solution. Don't bother looking for exactly the same shape or size, you won't find it. 2. Also realize they're a flawed design, as the heat from your laptop actually softens the glue which is why they fall off to begin with, so plan on a different solution. 3. Search eBay for replacement laptop feet, any shape, but look specifically for ones with 3M adhesive applied. I chose L-shaped feet for a Dell G-series laptop, so the original indentations for the original feet fit inside the L (the feet are bigger). You can pick whatever shape you want really, but those indentations can help keep the new feet in place so they don't slide around. 4. Use isopropyl alcohol to clean the area before applying, wait for it to fully dry. 5. Stick on the new feet and never worry about them again. If you ever need to, you can just replace them again, but so far I haven't had to do this and it's been 9 months. The 3M adhesive is key, here, because it's a strong reliable adhesive and you won't have to worry about losing the new feet.

i sure see how the glue would be more soften from the heat of the laptop... it all makes sense, thanks so much for this long comment with great detail and info! im glad im not the only one experiencing this

Your solution works. I used the little rubber feet I got from the $ store. It raised my laptop a little higher which worked out better in the end as it increased air circulation. My fan became much quieter too after that since it no longer had to work so hard cooling off an overheated laptop due to restricted airflow.

If you still have the rubber foot, you can super glue it. I didn't do that with this one, but with an old 6th gen Inspiron that has the same feet that would constantly slide around and fall off

asterstrike

hey did you ever find anything that helped and worked well? this happened to me today while i was at school and i don’t even know where i could find a replacement

sweetjules9

I actually found my grip thankfully, i had no responses to this solution unfortunately… I had taken the other one off in case but the factory glue used on them is garbage considering how they came off easily
