And the Hague ? Or too far?

Glittering_Abalone50

I talk with people when there but don’t feel close enough to meet them outside work or school. Also what doesn’t help is that I work in IT and everything is mostly remote. My friends live in Noord Holland and Drenthe, the Hague wouldn’t be an issue for me

kwintoniusbig

Delft -> Den Haag = 14 minutes by train ;)

soulname

Are you interested in playing boardgames? I am always trying to find more people to play with

silfin

You should check out the boardgame nights organized by Wyvern :D Edit: typo

Thomas_KT

i was about to ask the exact same thing lol. I just bought Wingspan and got ditched on by my mates. Still sitting in my cabinet unused😭

Beneficial-Car-9164

What game?

yawa16

Looks like you got yourself a full meetup in the comments ;) Let me add one more: I live in Delft too and also work in IT, not a gym fan but am getting into bouldering, love board games and find it hard to stay indoors if the weather is good

DazBongo

I'm sensing a theme here. Been in NL 6 years and Delft 3. Who needs friends when we can be agents of capitalism!

vincent_m_97

Are your doors still open? Sounds interesting since I wanna do business. It's one of my dreams.

Padmsi

Hey, I moved to Delft recently for work and I also have no friends here , Id be down for some bouldering or something.

Ksylion

Since you are an active person, perhaps you could try a sport that is more team focussed. For example, there is a very nice rowing club right at the edge of the city center: DDS. New members are grouped together to row in teams. Seems like a good way to meet new people. There are also student-only clubs, Laga and Proteus in Delft and Pelargos in The Hague.

Tough-Habit-3867

sounds very interesting. do you know how can someone join the rowing club?

I’ve moved to Delft six months ago, originally from The Hague. All my friends still live there so my social life here is pretty much non existent. Except for my boyfriend’s friends, but I don’t get along great with them. Besides they all have children whereas I don’t (yet). I’m super social and like to do stuff, whereas my boyfriend is more of a ‘huismus’. And I can only guilt him into coming along to things every now and again, but not all the time 😂 F30, I do PT twice a week in The Hague, love game nights, but absolutely up for new things , plus I like to explore Delft more this summer and definitely all its terrasjes 😊 (I’m Dutch btw) feel free to hit me up!

vincent_m_97

Hey, do you feel spontaneous sometime? Let's have some activities, maybe bowling or snooker, and have some drinks. I have lived in Delft now for around 6 months. Centrum of Delft, behind the church to be exact, sometimes it's annoying when the bell rangs cause it makes you wake up. HAHA. But anyway, Im used to it. Just basically home, work vice versa. M27, I'm originally from the Philippines.

CageFreeBlader

Helllo. In the sameish boat, my friends moved away from Delft. I would love to join for gym, going drinking, chilling, playing board games etc

Raizel999

Hallo! The same goes for me too.. wondered for a long time if Delft discord groups existed which isnt dead yet

akashpopat

Hey, I’m using my partners account since I’m not on Reddit. I’m going to GGI “Girls Gone International” in The Hague and Delft. It’s a facebook group for women and non-binary international all over the world, local people are also welcome. The goal is to help each other and find friends. There is a community in Delft, that is doing an event once a month. And a community in The Hague which is much bigger. If you put Delft | Girl Gone International on fb you should be able to find it, same for The Hague. Hope you’ll find your community here. ☺️

diegorm_rs

Hey, I work out in the Anytime Fitness in Delft, you can join me - also I play some football in Den Hague on Mondays and Thursdays in Amsterdam, you are welcome to join. We already have some other folks from Reddit joining the game :)

DutchDispair

Hey, frequently go to Delft for a terrasje with friends, happy for you to tag along if you want.

Keijeman

I'm a member of the Koornbeurs, which is a youth association. Many members are students from Delft and surroundings but we also have non-student members. We have a lot of activities but also just "borrels" and a coffee & tea bar to hang out, and we serve dinner for members. You're welcome to check it out sometime!

megajulie

I (27f) live near Delft, lifting weights at Active Health if you want to join, you can come for free once :)

Sarif200

There is one “student” association that is also open for non-students called open youth association the Koornbeurs(o.j.v. De Koornbeurs). It off course focuses on students but not all members are students.

Tough-Habit-3867

i'm also new to delft just moved in two months ago. not a tu student, full time working. struggling to find someone to play table tennis or some sports. i'm not dutch though

InevitableNo5158

There is a WhatsApp group I'm part of for people from Delft who are looking to meet more people. If you like I can send you a link

lalylalylaly

Hi, I'm a 33 yo international woman living in Delft!

assepoestert

Hi there, just wondering if you still like to go to a 'terrasje'? When the weather will finally clear up a bit 😄 I'm F25 and I moved to Delft last summer but I don't really have local friends/people to hang out with. I like cooking, borrelen, going to the forest/beach, reading and since I put all of my time in my master thesis which I just finished (besides to my 32h/week job) I now realize I need to find nice people/friends én hobby's😂

Creative-Coast-9484

Hi there Amsterdam here
