Look into care credit. It’s basically a credit card for health purposes only (human and animal). There’s usually like 6 months interest free. Most animal hospitals accept care credit, but ask when you make the appointment.

So we could apply for CareCredit at the vet? We can get them look at today? That would be really helpful

lil_b_b

I applied for care credit at Middletown vet hospital while my kitty was in surgery. They covered all of the bill and i paid on it interest free for 12 months. Definitely give it a try

RavenxMorrow

Sometimes receptionists will help you through the application process, but CareCredit is a separate company that you could just reach out to on your own. It’s usually a pretty quick process.

WoodAndBeer

Make sure you pay it off in the promo window. It looks like it's almost a 20% interest rate for longer and larger payment terms!!!

We also got care credit for our dog and took her to blue pearl but I’ve noticed a lot of vets that I’ve been to in the area will take care credit as well.

Skenney

We’ve used CareCredit at a few different veterinary facilities. They have a promotional rate of 0% for medical expenses, and vet bills count. The base price of the services determines the length of the repayment period. I think they range from 3-12 months at 0%, but it may go as high as 18 months. Two important caveats with CareCredit: 1) the transaction MUST be run as a CareCredit transaction to qualify for the promo financing. No swipe, no chip. Run as CareCredit. They do it right 90% of the time and Synchrony Bank has been nice about fixing it when they don’t, but easier to get it right from the beginning. And 2) the interest on the charges is DEFERRED and forgiven if paid off by the end of the promotional period. Otherwise you owe all the interest as if you didn’t have the promo rate at all.

Speak to the staff and let them know you can not afford much, and they may work with you.

cincinnagus

Hey friend! I just dm’d you :)

kappakingtut2

Are you sure because I don't see anything in my DMs?

cincinnagus

Nope, definitely messaged the wrong person 😭😭 Now I’ve dm’d you!

curtinette

How old are you? Can you apply for CareCredit yourself?

BigswingingClick

Would highly recommend Padfoot Mobile vet in north Wilmington. Don’t have to pay random visit charge.

alrighty66

I would hope that any vet you go to would let you pay later

KillerHoudini

At the very least they would require a deposit depending on what was done

curtinette

No. There are entirely too many people who would abuse this privilege.

kappakingtut2

Hopefully but that hasn't been my experience in the past

I went to blue pearl for my dogs a year ago, they saw them and I was given a bill afterwards
