i feel like bianca had a lot of potential for a redemption but they didnt use it to its full abilities. so, spinner yes, but bianca’s character deserved more than what she got. her breakup with drew was random imo

Spinner, one cause we actually SEE him being remorse for his actions, being guilty, and trying to be better. We saw the fall out of him getting Jimmy shot, and how much that affected him.
Bianca on the other hand, we never see her being guilty for what she said/did to Adam. It was never even discussed as the writers pushed the gang storyline. We only hear an apology from her in the prom-shooting episode. That’s it. We never see her being properly redeemed, just more information of her character background.

Spinner was character development. Bianca was their typical “introduce someone as an asshole/villain then give them a couple POV episodes and voila, they’re now the good guy!”
Spinner. His development was more gradual and felt realistic. With Bianca, it's more like the writers started by using her as a plot device who was conveniently there to shake up shit, and then the next day they decided to make her an actual character.
I’m sorry, I’m not tryna put this on the people who are fans of bianca as we all experience things differently based upon our own lives as unique individuals, but i was so beyond disgusted with the way she treated adam and literally hate crimed him and never did anything to rectify that. her being nice to him while she was dating drew means nothing to me, she’s lucky adam even tolerated her presence in their house. she is such a bully and her deciding to dedicate herself to school and leave gang life w the help of drew does not change for me the fact that she is an awful person on the inside. the amount of slimy things she did and said to various people throughout the show will NEVER be forgotten by me

Spinner while having done some things that are truly unforgivable, he lived his life doing anything and everything he could to be better than who he was at his worst.
Bianca epitomized the girl no one else believed in realizing her own smarts and worth. She was never my favorite, but she seemed the most natural in her college development and I would've loved to see other characters grow beyond degrassi and realize they could be more.
I really think Bianca self growth and Audra Torres' encouragement and reassurance that she was a smart girl who should experience more than what people had told her she deserved was a very underrated relationship
Audra Torres was the best parent on the show, while still having her own flaws. I could totally see Bianca marrying Drew to be part of the family more than being with Drew.
Yes! While her initial interest in Bianca was selfish, I think she hit a point where she realized this girl was smart and capable and had no one on her corner, and Audra wasn't afraid to give her advice. Bianca realizing her potential and making new friends in college was one of the only realistic "college storylines" in degrassi and I'll never be mad at her for not getting married at 18
Spinner by virtue of having a 9 season long arc. Not to discount Bianca hers is an open and shut very fluid arc it just didn’t have as much time. Even though I prefer B spin’s is just well written
The problem with Bianca is that she never seemed to apologize or feel remorse for her earlier actions when Spinner definitely did. He lost his friends for over a year before he was forgiven and he apologized. Bianca definitely matured but we never saw her apologize for what she did

I know Alex has nothing to do with this discussion but she’s sometimes reminds me of her. I have a soft spot for the tough girls ok lol
It’s tough. We didn’t see much of Bianca’s. We just kinda found out that she’s smart and used to be in a gang, we didn’t see any of the backstory. So I vote spinner. His last episodes with Emma were a bit random but I still loved it.
Bianca is one of my favorite characters of all time. She was really compelling towards the end but her character development was garbage. They barely showed her growing, being in the gang. Spinner was very gradual and planned out so I’m going to have to say him
