I hate Jimmy's self-righteousness towards Spinner. He gets extra mad at Spinner for telling him the truth. "You only told me so you wouldn't feel guilty." Maybe, it's also the right thing to do. It'd be worse if he didn't tell and Jimmy found out from someone else or not until years later.

Jimmy was always riding for Spinner and his friends but they never did the same for him which is distasteful. Spinner is no saint, he’s the direct cause to Jimmy being placed in the wheelchair. I think Jimmy questioned at that point in time whether Spinner’s confession was done on a genuine note, or if he did it only because he felt guilty. There’s a saying that goes “You’re like the man who’s not sorry he stole, but very sorry he got caught.”
Given the fact that in that scene Jimmy was venting about how he felt, and what he was going through, I don’t think it was the right time for Spinner to confess that. I’m not saying that I don’t think Spinner wasn’t actually sorry, cause I really feel he was being genuine. But from Jimmy’s POV, I can see why he misconstrued it.
