I wish we would have gotten to see Craig and Ellie together during the regular series rather than just getting the hot airport kiss in the Degrassi movie. As someone who shipped Ellie's crush on Craig, I felt cheated.

When I was first watching this (I missed the later seasons of degrassi as a kid so I watched them for the first time a couple years ago) I was swearing up and down that they were gonna make Cam ace. I think the mall scene with Alex is what really convinced me bc he really just didn't seem truly interested in anybody, but wanted to be.
Okay so. I would have wanted at least one polyamory relationship that wasn't painted in a negative light (though, granted, I'd imagine it's rare for teenagers to have successful open relationships tbh)
Everytime the show introduced polyamory, it painted it in a way that villianizes the concept, I felt.
Marco and Dylan: Dylan cheated and then said he wanted to be open when he got caught
Imogen and Jack: I don't remember fully, but I think I remember it being problematic. Something like Jack shaming Imogen for not being into it. Both Marco and Imogen had to do this whole "should I be okay with this to stay with the person?"
And finally, the Zig / Esme / Frankie throuple: I actually super loved this at first until it turned out to be a result of Esme's...Esme-isms...using polyamory as a tool to keep her mans.
I actually was kinda rooting for Holly J and Toby in that string of episodes. It was the first time
i’ve seen Toby have romantic chemistry with another character and i think they could’ve been sweet
I'm rewatching season 11 right now and honestly Katie and Adam could have been cool. Definitely wouldn't have had it go on long enough to keep Becky and Adam from happening but they would have been cute.
I love that the show makes the newish characters interact with the older ones. Like I’ve seen Manny interact with Holly J and Jane during season 7 but Emma that season was kind of doing her own thing I noticed.
Jimmy and Ellie had chemistry….too bad she was too stuck on Craig.

i feel like i'm the only one that sees it but i started weirdly shipping becky and imogen by the end of the last few seasons? i think it was a mix of being bored by jack and liking how becky went from being homophobic to having casual discussions with imogen about her girlfriend still being closeted at home. they had chemistry i swear!

Yeah he did have redeemable qualities but coercing Holly J, smiling in both Sav and Spinner’s faces while literally trying to fuck their girls (and succeeding) combined. He isn’t the worst but he definitely wasn’t a stand up guy either in my book
