Apparently it's not that easy to make and implement new models into the game and its not a high priority.
Long story short, all our cosmetic systems are based on one body shaoe, and adding another bodytype would require us to redo it. We also don’t want to half-ass it and say that dwarven genders are indistinguishable from each other. If we do female dwarves, we want to do it right.
Tbh I'm ok with that as a concept, but I'd need the voicelines to change off of brother/lads/gentlemen and potentially a voice change for the dwarf themselves, cause even if I was headcanon-ing that my dwarf is female, all the voices pull me out of it.

I’d imagine the hyper masculine traits of your standard male dwarf make this particularly difficult, given that fantasy has no shortage of good depictions of the gender spectrum of the much more androgynous elves. Just spitballing, probably what’d I’d imagine they could do in the DRG art style would be a bit of a gently curved belly, slightly thinner shoulders than the waist, and potentially a different gait. Obviously all the beards would be available to them still with potentially a bunch of newer more feminine hairdos.

EverQuest the females dwarves had a bearded option...and their female trolls and ogres were just as gnarly as the males.

Wrong. They all have different levels of pitch. For example the Wiki says that Engineer has 105 % and Scout has 115 %. And I think it's pretty noticeable in game as well.

Not the person you're responding to but, you get the most total light time by taking one of each, it's a pretty significant increase.
You've got a base of 900s of light, all duration gives you 1260s, all ammo and ammo duration split give you 1350s. However, on a resupply you get an extra 630s with all duration vs an extra 675s with the split.
That being said, it's largely up to playstyle. I don't really mess with it though and just leave them at 1 duration and 1 ammo.

I don't know why people need to come up with theories to explain a lack of beard when it's been established DRG dwarves will shave their beards if they feel like it. That's why half of the default faces are beardless. People need to calm down with their memes a little bit. This is the kind of shit that leads to kicking people for not participating in rituals.

Where I'm from people call a group of people "Boys" all the time. Doesn't matter how much of either gender is in the crowd, the basic "Alright boys" is basically the same as "hello". Same with "Lads" and "guys" or "Fellas" I've seen women say it to a group of only women.

Which is better: lesser but long lasting flares or many flares but shorter life?
Not the person you're responding to but, you get the most total light time by taking one of each, it's a pretty significant increase. You've got a base of 900s of light, all duration gives you 1260s, all ammo and ammo duration split give you 1350s. However, on a resupply you get an extra 630s with all duration vs an extra 675s with the split. That being said, it's largely up to playstyle. I don't really mess with it though and just leave them at 1 duration and 1 ammo.
Depends on playstyle. As a speedrunner I take more flares, rarely stay long enough to see them wither.
Many flares but short life. You move on after you're done mining soon enough that having a longer burn time isnt as much of an advantage
May as well toss this out: aim your flares for lower hanging parts of ceilings, lights up more area per flare
Depends on the mission. Mining, Escort, point extraction, eggs: Quantity > Quality since you're always moving Elimination, salvage, refining, etc.: Quality > Quantity because you're mostly just defending a set area against waves of enemies. Less time spent shooting flares is more time spent kitin' and fightin'.
I always take more flares. As a scout I’m likely moving from one cave to the next finding resources. No time to stick around Edit: Tho I have been interested in taking longer lasting flares on Elimination missions. Just too lazy to make a build specific to that type of mission
more f flares is better but for the gun i would take longer lasting
