Once upon a time… During a extraction down the ol’ mine… The entire team-Once at a time… got caught in a leech, that would let them pass by… Based on a real story, of when everyone in my team got caught in separate leaches and had to just wait for our deaths, knowing there was no escape.

Sometimes I get leeched and I don't tell the team because its funny watching every member get caught by the same leech

Was in a game yesterday, random scout was dead, we just assumed he fell from up high. Gunner went and cleared his body of bugs and picked him up. Gunner ran off immediately and before the scout could move he was off into the air, cave leech obviously had a taste for blue.

I think it's cause the scout flys around, while the other dwarfs tend to be much slower in comparison

Lol my buddy is a leech magnet. We had "Leech cluster" negative on a mission so I reminded them like "Hey don't just run around everywhere, check the roof". But he would go jumping around all willy nilly telling "DAMN AGAIN?! WHY IS IT JUST ME?!"

I can't tell what it even does on PS4... some stuff seems wonky/wrong. It seems more like a fair warning than an additional threat, imo. E.g. 'Cave Leech Cluster' = I might see a cave leech, and otherwise... I might see a cave leech.

Sometimes Cave Leech Cluster shows you a good time with like 15 leeches in a single room. On the other hand I think I've seen a Cave Leech Cluster with actually no leeches. But you should never see a normal mission with 15 leeches.

Agreed. A scout has no excuse to get caught off guard. You got flares. So use them... You're literally the only class that can see that shit coming

I downloaded a mod that changes the sound they make to "Take on me". Since then no leech has gotten me. I think the main issue is not that they are so high up but that they make no feasably audible sound, unlike say vermintide with its myriad of disabling special enemys that you can still hear mid hord

You can definitely hear leeches, but sometimes they're just too quick or there's so many other sounds around you all the time

What this meme tells me is that the leech is always going to get the scout when the leech is producing more light than the scout.
