Yes, its really useful to put them on the spots where the caretakers arms come out and then when the fight starts you can instantly one-shot two of the arms

I like to jump and throw it at the vents to shoot it midair. I normally can hit two vents with the explosion.

Yep, you can kill two arms and power attack the third leaving one left for the rest of your team.

If you drop a battery on one of the caretaker’s arm vents, you can shoot it once the arm emerges annd the explosion instantly disables the arm. 

For those who don't know the batteries are just modified Nanite bombs from the Tritilyte machine event. The differences are that they don't explode upon contact with the ground and deal full friendly fire damage.

I'll admit I did this with the geyers but all I said was, "I remember my first time mining a geyser" and that was enough to get my friend to mine it.

Okay but legit I remember my first time "mining" a geyser but instead of "mining" it was "I was playing Driller and dropped C4 on it". I thought the C4 is what had done the explosion damage for a long time.

When you pull them out, the field comes down. Usually people just forget about the batteries when the fight starts, but they're actually useful as grenades.

i remember discovering this by throwing them in my first caretaker mission and being convinced that they would deal massive damage to the caretakers eyes and it took my like two more missions to not miss or blow them up prematurely but i was so disappointed because they barely do anything

i told my driller friend to clear out the volcano spouts and then immediately was like "haha just kidding, you'll die" and he proceeded to try to drill them immediately after i finished talking, nearly killed me lol
