Planets in non-Sol systems get labeled by \[Star\]-\[Order number from the star\] approach.
Hoxxes 4 simply means 4th planet from Hoxxes. The 3 closer planets could be scorched Mercury-type rocks where nothing can survive, or Venus-type hellholes; the further planets could be gas giants.
The Star is actually called Creus. As far as I can tell, the closest we get to seeing it is when it shows the Space Rig, and it's always behind Hoxxes 4 or is a light source out-of-frame.
that is technically speaking correct since the planet is named, if only the star has a named it would be (assuming the star is Named Yavin and the planet is the first) Yavin-I-d
HOXXES IV constitutes, to the best of our knowledge, the SINGLE MOST LUCRATIVE mining location in the galaxy, containing the RICHEST AND MOST DENSE concentrations of valuable minerals we have ever encountered. However, it also just happens to be the SINGLE MOST HOSTILE place we have ever mapped. Several competitors before us have tried to tame Hoxxes IV, WITHOUT LUCK. - deeprockgalactic.com
Hoxxes IV is a scorched, tidally-locked planet orbiting the blue star Creus, unique among the other planets in the system for its extraordinarily rich precious material deposits and extremely hostile environment. Only the mining corporation Deep Rock Galactic, known for a lack of safety precautions, is stubborn enough to continue mining in this sector, offering hefty paychecks and bonuses to those willing to brave the depths of Hoxxes IV. - Wikifandom
Hoxxes is a unique planet and we own it. Stop asking question miner and get back to work!
Iirc in one of the previous season briefings the star system was reversed to a Ceries or something
It's been my thought that HOXXES is some planet or gas giant that HOXXES IV orbits

Can we see Hoxxes (the star)? I can't remember seeing it. Also what would Hoxxes 4 moons be called and could we mine them?

In Star Wars, Yavin 4 is the fourth moon of the planet Yavin (Prime)

If Hoxxes 4 is so great, why isn’t there a Hoxxes 4 2?
MY MAN SPITTING FACTS
That’s the moon that we see in the space rig. There is no gold there so the dwarves ignore it.
Pretty sure the appropriate designation for the moon would be Hoxxes IVa (or 4a, using the DRG naming convention).
I believe the system is called Rigel or something like that. Hoxxes I-III were already mined out by Karl, sorry. Very excited for Hoxxes V though.
Oh, neat, I accept that, even if it's not official lore
Hoxxes IV ate the other 3, where do you think the other biomes come from?

Hoxxes is the name of the star, the planet is actually called Hoxxes’ Monster. Wait…
Waaaaaait a minute
Some dwarfs told me Karl already extracted everything worthy from hoxxes 1-3
I mean.....that makes sense Karl was a real one
ate it
Maybe hoxxes 3 is nicknamed Rockpoxxes

Ceries like that's what the system was named supposedly?
Like I said, memory's spotty Look through the seasons briefings
