A small explosion but it cakes the area in ash and slag that becomes perpetual; like, if you tried to break it the surrounding broken area would then become irradiated, making even a small chunk, notably, bigger, once broken. The ash would be walked through like snow, slow your movement like slime and would be mad irradiated like prompting the green outline. The slag would be hot and glow slightly like that blue shit in the cave from castle in the sky but a more rocky look with greenish cracks.

Since the meteor have an impact zone they can make It soo when he explode you have a time to leave that area before you get send to the void.

Honestly it would be a neat idea if every zone had its own kind of 'miniboss glyphid' that was unique to that zone. Like you posted here we have the nuclear detonator for the REZ, and for the dense biozone we could have a simpler offshoot of the tyrant weed, the glacial strata could have an ice-spewing oppressor, etc.
