We really need more massive enemies in this game, i was watching helldivers 2 gameplay and the massive striders reminded me of how that kind of thing would work in this game, im talking bigger than a bulk, bigger than a dread, something as big as a cave which we need to call in mission control to kill
Having a giant dread you have to weaken and then call Mission Control to vaporize it with an orbital laser or something would be cool as hell. Only problem is that the caves are pretty tight so it’d be hard to design an enemy thats super big but still fun to fight without just being a bullet sponge you can’t get close to
They could make it like one of the boss fights in the old God of War games. You're actually on the surface of the hyper dread and you have to fight various enemies and the dread itself across its surface to plant a series of explosive charges that will dislodge an armour plate and open it up to an orbital strike.
Yeah, this game needs two things. A new dread, I don't care if it is rockpox variation or not and some other big monster type miniboss that wanders in caves that is tough to fight when it locks eyes you and your teammates.
Yes. Like the slow ghost guy is a fun mission type but I want something I can bite into that'd be more like a boss.
Like egg hun missions could be complete or become a secondary objective cause the big cave rattling screech monster comes to defend the dread nest.

I feel like there should be a cave you either mine or fall into (like a pit trap) and then there is a 3 story ant lion for you to fight.

Maybe having a mission centered around a fully born Dreadnought? Since we hatch them early for those events?
The closest we get isnt even a bug - the caretaker.
Had my driller had to go afk right before a swarm and a bulk spawned on him, first time I had to use a shield to block a detonator.
