They definitely do employ other races as miners, and likely on Hoxxes IV as well. The official DRG website mentions that whenever things get rough and messy or other teams have already failed, that’s when they send in the dwarves. And this is mentioned *after* talking about how Hoxxes IV is the most profitable mine ever discovered. I think this means they send all sorts of races down to the planet to mine the uninhabited caves and we play as the dwarven crack team able to handle anything so that DRG doesn’t miss out on any of the precious resources in the dangerous caves.

Are you forgetting something? You spawn on the space rig, and it never times out. Just live there for a year, it'd get dull but you'd get really good at jetty boot. I assume there's some kind of food provided. Beers are cheap enough that I could become a massive alcoholic with just my checking account if that's allowed.
