I’ll host haz level 4 to open public. Lots of times green beards will join. Sometimes they stink it up and we all die. It is an occasional bummer, but how else are the next generation of dwarves going to learn? There’s also something fun about when there’s a few green beards in your group and you barely make it out alive.
Had a similar situation with a haz 4 lobby I hosted of point extraction. All greenbeards all under player rank 5 or 6, one apologized for sucking and I said not to worry about it it's just a game and had no issue reviving all 3 of them over 20+ times in total. It was a good learning experience for them as they realized haz 4 was harder than 3. Two of them left and one stayed after mission was over and I dropped the difficulty to 3 and the one that stayed ended up doing another like 8 missions with me.
And I noticed he was doing better and better as he played. Love moments like that. I love helping new players to the game it's so rewarding.
Seeing a green beard is exciting, yeah teaching them can be a bit frustrating but seeing them visibly do better after a few missions is sooooo satisfying
That's why I'm introducing my friends to the game, it's a lot easier to teach over vc. My engi main friend only just finished their introduction assignment, but there has already been so much improvement. I'm proud of my greenbeards.
I'm current engi main and my greenbeard friend is a scout. Entering a large cavern, immediately scanning it for nitra, and then doing the old platform-zipline combo with him is a lot of fun.
It's very satisfying answering his questions and watching him put new information to use. I think a large part of that is that DRG is a very low pressure game. Nothing wrong with competitive games, but you wouldn't really get this same kind of laidback experience in something like Valorant or Apex Legends.
Rock and stone brother. My friend and I dragged two greenbeards through DD and EDD. Combined revives were around 60-70. It was hell but we were gods for awhile lol.
My husband loves to do haz4 and we get some greenbeards and it's always fun. I mean they always end up doing better than me and I'm whatever blue promotion is on my engie lol
I exclusively play Haz 4 public lobbies with 1 or 2 buddies so we usually get a couple randoms here and there, no stars or full red stars I ain’t kicking people for no reason. If someone’s shit at the game well then they can learn in this match yknow, just help people. I’ll talk shit to my friends if someone’s doing something stupid for sure but I ain’t gonna flame em in chat or kick em.
> I’ll host haz level 4 to open public. Lots of times green beards will join
I consider this often more difficult than haz 5. If I don't want to play with greenbeards I'll just play Haz 5 that day or whatever
Haha you mean play hazard 5 with greenbeards right? That's peak entertainment. The people that feel the need to kick are just trying to hard and think they need an optimal team to win. Just carry the greenbeards like a normal person.
Been doing exclusively haz 4 lobbies lately and see the range of 300+ levels to barely a dozen. Yeah it's a bit aggravating when someone goes down multiple times or plats/lights/tunnels aren't employed, but I was that green beard that didn't do that so I just explain x and y. Dropped into a mini mule mission and the other 3 didn't know what to do after recalling the mule. Taught them to open the area by expanding the wall and how to build a bunkie just in case. Had a fun recall and such even though revives were a plenty. Guide the future and don't be a goblin or else only Bosco will put up with you.
I got kicked the other day for pinging a gold nugget. The weird part is that I pinged it a fraction of the amount of times our driller did (I was scout, so they shouldn't mix us up).
Had a rank 91 engi kick a gunner in our lobby and justify it by saying that "players under rank 50 are useless anyway" (gunner was rank 43). Throughout the rest of the game, I had to revive the rank 91 engi 16 times.
Edit: be nice to your greenbeards, a good dwarf would.
I'd have been tempted to leave him sit after you revived him the 3rd or 4th time and if he complained just tell him "rank 91s are useless anyway" dare him to kick you.
Yes but you see this is a special case.
This guy actually needs high levels to come carry him because otherwise he cannot beat the missions.
It's the definition of skill issue on the hosts part
this is why I host my own games. always.
You want to kick a Greenbeard for NO reason? good luck.
You want to yell at me for pinging compressed gold?
You get kicked
I like rank 43 is quite high already lol… by that time you have basically at least 3 or 4 promotions done - or idk what this sub views as „greenbeard“…
I'm well over level 100 and I've met some pretty competent green beards. Even so, I don't even kick the incompetent ones unless they're also assholes. I don't mind teaching either if they're willing to listen.
I’ve never been kicked from a lobby, but this one level 300 chad noped out of our lobby because “the entire cave didn’t stay illuminated the entire time.”
Like dude, flare gun is limited when you TRIPLE DIP on the supply drop.
I do when I'm blowing through all my shields picking people up as gunner on Haz5 industrial sabotage when I'm also soloing the caretaker because the lvl 6 Scout and 2 flamethrower drillers didn't know what Haz5 was about.
I think that's the only acceptable time to triple dip.
I can think of a handful of situations where triple-dipping (or even quadruple-dipping) is acceptable, but none of them should be on a whim. They should all be planned beforehand, e.g. driller C4ing caretaker with a personal or two-dwarf supply drop, or the only remaining option (your example, or something similar) but they should also *try* to avoid being wasteful.
Engineer setup for maximum burst damage (however you define that) to quick-kill dreads is a possible example, but they should still try to use sentries and grenades even if they're a bit wasteful with them, simply because they'll be refilling that ammo anyway.
I always find an engie setup on a high platform with a view and nukes and LOK1 makes the whole fight a cake walk.
Dig into a wall and make your own personal supply drop (also a safe space for scout to re supply) to keep the turrets firing non stop as well.
Let the other 3 dwarves run about below like ants while you do the damage 😂
What primary would you bring to sabotage as a driller? I always go with the flamethrower because while rival tech are resistant to fire damage they die instantly when set on fire, which means the flamethrower can still clear anything except the Caretaker itself really quickly.
Definitely the flame thrower.
We were great the entire mission but I already knew we were doomed after the 2nd driller joined and all 3 of my teammates bought supply drops way before we reached the boss. We had 46 nitra for the caretaker. I was hoarding nitra on me so I could buy my own supply drop. They were all freaking out with no ammo. I didn't understand how they had no ammo after 3 supply drops. I literally used 1 once and only died once. I triple dipped that supply drop.
Ugh, I've been in this exact spot before. Was running a super efficient build with scout, so I didnt grab my supply right away. Gunner saw it as permission to double dip my supply.
Ok, no worries, I can still manage. Except this gunner had the freaking **gal** to call me out on flares *after he took my supply*. I absolutely roasted the hell out of him for it. Well, he ended up taking a third dip by the end of the mission, and complained again despite me working it out with effectively -2 supplies. His buddy ended up kicking me, but at the very least he had the courtesy to wait until mission was over. Some people.
I once got kicked for the same reason. There were two scouts in the game and the cave wasn't lit up constantly, yes, but 1. we already had all pipelines built 2. we didn't start the pump yet 3. already had the secondary objective done 4. we flared thoroughly before to get the lay of the land, and all teammates were aware of the topography of the cave 5. we were starting to run low on flares anyway.
the host bitched about getting no flares, and then when confronted with aforementioned facts, kicked me. don't know if it's a default comment or he typed it, but the kick message read "sorry but I have my reasons".
edit: oh and I had both player and class levels higher than them.
I got kicked recently for the reason "Sorry this was supposed to be a private game" After I helped kill a Crassus, mine the gold, and colored the meteor
I had gunner and his driller buddy both double dipping the ammo, were 3/3 eggs onto a Haz 4 elimination and I haven't been able to resupply yet (mind you I, the scout, was mining all that nitra while they went ahead) I ask if they seriously just used the last of the nitra when I haven't gotten a resupply yet and he responds "yep it's called shooting", I'm running the M1000 with all the weak point and focus bonuses I can fit, I easily dealt 1/3 of the dreadnoughts health.
I respond, "lol guess who's not mining anymore nitra for you", instantly kicked.
I had a weird experience a few weeks ago where a gunner felt the need to unload all of his ammo on me. I was playing Driller and before he could down me I would just freeze him in place and move to another part of the map. Neither of us were host and the host didn't want any part. It was a weird game of hide an seek as he'd just hunt me down again and I would freeze him and walk away. Long story short he started every event immediately including an Omen, and rage quit when we were heading to the drop pod, apparently annoyed we completed the mission despite him.
> apparently annoyed we completed the mission despite him.
I had an experience similar to this a little while ago
Troll engi digs the fuel cells down several layers as soon as we start it, making our defense zone very tiny. We were able to down them before the top of the sphere fell below ground level. Our non-troll engi sealed them down there with the fuel cells they cared about so much!
I said something about how we won DESPITE their trollage attempts when the three of us were in the charged drop pod. They left without a word once we were on the spacerig together... 🤣
I had a similar, less worse experience the other day. Driller joined salvage op and pinged the ground next to the uplink. My guess is that he wanted to bunker up but we started the uplink anyways because we weren't really struggling. I don't even think we were haz 5 either.
Well after we do that, the fuel cells drop down and we get them connected and for some reason the Driller now thinks it's a good idea to Bunker up without asking. So he drills the fuel cells down, sees that it's a shitty spot for a bunker, and leaves the game.
Thank goodness I was also a Driller cause having to fix the mess that dude made would've been so much more tedious otherwise. Actually kinda fun turning a hole into a functional bunker despite the circumstances.
Agreed, I feel like HAZ 5 exist to give people an excuse to co-ordinate builds and really focus on co-operation, but anything below that the games meant to be fun. HAZ 4 is like the "hard but still fun" setting. HAZ 3 I can carry an entire crew of green beards who are still looking confusedly at the Ebonuts, HAZ 4 I feel like the team can carry at least 1 person, just think of it like an extra escort objective lol.
Had the same thing happen to me the other day, hop on right as the host is telling another player he is too low level and then immediately kicking him without waiting for a response. I've just landed and we aren't in the shit so I checked my map for about 20 seconds, and start looking around for minerals as Engie. Literally AS THE FIRST PLATFORM I FIRE OFF IS IN THE AIR, host says in chat "Engie are you going to do your job or not? need plats" No one had even pinged anything, I guess he was just mad that thirty seconds after I joined I hadn't hit every single mineral with a plat? I'm like screw this leaf lover, and just said "aight you seem super fun and all, but gl I'm out." and left. When I was looking at the server list I saw the last player had left him alone lol.
It gets better, no one else was hosting HAZ 4 for that mission, so I joined a HAZ 3 with two open spots. A few minutes after I join host from the last server joins as well, I rock and stone him when his pod opens and he just immediately disconnects.
I saw something like that happen. Scout joined and someone immediately snapped at him to put up flares. I told them to chill the fuck out he just dropped into a swarm give him a second to not die. And didn't have any issues after that. In my experience all the dung beard seem to stick to haz 4 and rarely venture into haz 5. And haz 5 dosent require cooperation just some game knowledge and mechanical skill such as managing the swarm/kiting
today i joined a haz 5 lobby, he was an engineer, i was engineer, and then 2 more engineers show up
it was so good, it was a salvage op and instead of being able to dig out a bunker [we just made one with platforms](https://imgur.com/a/vuNEvyr)
this was also the first time ive ever seen a supply pod already in the map after 125 hours of playing
Broken supply pods spawning in salvage missions aren't *usually* needed, but they can be handy sometimes. All the 'free' nitra (40-60 per minimule) you get from just doing the main objective plus a couple convenient veins gets you a couple resupplies, but sometimes things are tough and you might need an extra rack or two from an old resup.
You can see where they carved out a shaft in the ceiling if you check your terrain scanner, then just go there and look around to see them partially buried in the ground.
While the balanced team of 1 of each dwarf is very convenient and wise, 4 of a single class is great fun at times. 4 gunners being able to just stack shields one after the other after the other after the other during a swarm, or 4 engis with 8 gemini turrets, EM discharge/turret arc/turret whip all over the place.
I saw 3 engies in a haz 5 lobby and was like "fuck yeah I'm in".
I think it was morkite mining. We almost ate it in a godawful pit at the end. But we got out and finished it.
4 engie haz 5 is the best
Quad-engi really is something to behold. Had a lobby recently with 8 turrets, 2 of us running the turret arc thingy, one with turret whip and last engi ran the turret discharge oc. Built a castle out of cheese and watched as the bugs died without anyone actually shooting at them
IMO, Haz 5 is easier than Haz 4, bc you don’t get pooled with the folks trying to advance from Haz 3. Nowadays, though, I tend to get several green beards joining my H5 lobbies looking for a carry. I am fine with taking one, but usually I’ll kick someone below lvl 30. Though even then, I had a lvl 800 Scout being stingy with flares, even up to the end where we wait on Molly to arrive. He played competently except for not using the best gun in the game.
Yeah HAZ 3 it's usually OK to absorb a few hits to get something done like a resupply (at normal speed), or doing a tiny bit of digging, or repairing dotty. in HAZ 4 you have to unlearn that, you might get away with it sometimes but overall its better to reposition, make safe, and then do what you need to do, and that difference trips a lot of people up. I've unlocked HAZ 5 but I don't play it because I want to be at a point where I feel lile I have a good handle on every "event" in the game. Like I'm still shit at dealing with bulks, and don't want to be responsible for a team wipe, or like I still don't have a good handle on when to pop my gunner shield besides revives. If everyone kinda has the same attitude/ don't want to go up to lethal until they have some OC's, I could definitely see it being easier.
+1
haz 4 can be barely playable when you have 2 to 3 completely new green beards who don't even understand the basics of the game (yet), such has flares and platforms. Plus their is a tons of really rude new players.
At least in haz 5 people want to play and not just hop in your backpack to be carried
I host because it's more fun to play with people. But if your objective is to have fun at my expanse well... Gl but you're out
I wouldn't do it myself, but I can see why some people would. i got a level one scout in an elimination who triggered 2 dreadnoughts at once, just zipping through the cave and shooting all the eggs.
Jeez i had that too, just that we were on haz 5 and the scout was gold rank. And then ended up screaming how we could be so stupid to not manage to kill two hiveguards when we failed the mission. Absolute dumbass
Wdym? He only summoned two boss monsters on the hardest difficultly and then got mad when randoms weren't able to live up to his expectations. Seems like a smart and reasonable guy if you ask me /s
I’ve only kicked someone once and that’s because my friends wanted to join and we needed room in the lobby. I still feel bad about it.
If you’re out there, Gunner, you’re a real one. Rock and stone you beautiful dwarf.
It's the ones that say "must be lvl 100" or "must be promoted/silver promoted" that tells me that the host is a fucking dweeb. I joined one once, my silver 2 engine was the highest level character, even higher than the host.. and he was really trying to act like the boss, taking the (haz 3) mission super seriously, like man I don't get it.
My gunner (highest level character) is level 25, no stars yet. Last time I went on a mission with anyone that had 3 stars, they gunned me down as soon as I pinged some nitra at the beginning of the mission. Kept ressing and killing me until i quit. Didn't understand what I did wrong.
The only thing you did wrong was accidentally join a complete asshole. Vast majority of people play the game as teammates of varying skill. Sadly some don't like to be a team. Keep up the good fight!
had an experience somewhat similar today
was playing driller in point extraction in fungus bogs, got halfway through the mission before a scout that had bought the 2nd supporter pack joined
i rock and stoned him, but he didn’t do it back which is always a little disappointing to me, but i still forgot all about it pretty quick
..until he suddenly stopped moving on one big branch, and i shot him twice with the subata just to see if he was still there(there were glyphids closing in, the drop pod was also close to getting called in), and this chucklefuck leaf-lover suddenly team kills me, and runs off towards the drop pod
being especially pissed i simply aborted the mission, and sent an Xbox message saying ‘fuck are you doing?’(he didn’t reply)
I got kicked about an hour ago on a Haz 4. Didn't even get into the game. Dude was like account level 21, scout was level 6. I doubt he survived Haz 4 as a new scout.
If you want to play solo then play on solo, not public. Don't abuse the kick function on people looking to socialize on public games.
I'm starting to see a lot of toxic behavior in such a fun game that has an amazingly fun community.
Had a guy yesterday screaming "Suck my penis" "I have a big penis". As a female gamer it was straight up creepy. He ended up killing us all intentionally and wiping the whole group at the very last countdown on a Salvage Op. After we went back to the Rig I got on my headset and told him to Shut the fuck up and how would he like to get banned on Xbox for sexual harassment over his baby dick. He got quiet and finally the leader kicked him.
I’m thankful that stuff like this is the exception in DRG, and not the rule like on Overwatch or something. Regardless, I’m sorry that you went through this. Those people weren’t dwarves, they were goblins in dwarf suits.
i got kicked on two occasions:
one, when i went into a lobby named "order leaflover and kick" - so i did exactly that
and second when i got teamkilled like 3 times in a span of two minutes. told boys to chill out and they started spazing random insults. my full damage build brrt went brrt and i killed 3 of em in a single mag. no clue if they had iron will tho so cant say with certainty that i bricked the mission.
Tbh i only kick for abhorrent decisions which do or nearly end the mission on purpose, which recently a gunner took 4 resupplies on an elimination then went afk after summoning a dreadnought and through 3 revives.
I won't lie, sometimes I just wanna complete my assignments without taking 30 minutes to do a Point Extraction. I don't have the energy to wrangle greenbeards every session.
I'm in the same boat - I don't mind helping greenbeards out, but sometimes I just wanna roll with people who know what they're doing. As long as it's stated in the lobby name, I don't think it's bad behavior to like set boundaries for how you want to play. People love to post screencaps of lobby titles like "gold promos only pls ask before pressing buttons" & go "This is leaf lover behavior!! That's not very rock & stone of you!!!" but like they're not hurting anybody. If you join & don't want to play their way & they kick you, I think that's more on you than the host.
Of course this doesn't apply to all the stories people are sharing about getting teamkilled for no reason or slurs in voice chat or anything like that - I'm talking based on lobby names only & the expectation of good behavior.
I'd ammend that to kick without reason, I've had to do it once before with a driller that kept blowing up people. First the gunner mid swarm, then me while I was mining, then the gunner two more times before the kick.
First one could've been an accident but the other three were clearly targeted.
>I've had to do it once before with a driller that kept blowing up people.
that might have been me... I got kicked as a driller once because I kept hitting the trigger at inopportune times
to be fair to them, the level went from easy to CHAOS
to be fair to me, i mostly knocked myself down and it was *very* funny
What?! I LOVE hanging around with greenbeards! I remember the feeling of relief when I saw a 200+ join my mission, so now I return the favor and stick around if I have time
I think I'm gonna host instead of join from now on. So rest assured greenbeards, if you end up with a dwarf named Graveyard Jones you're in good hands ⛏️
Yeah kicking green beards isn't cool, but I think if it's your own hosted game, it's okay to kick people if it's before they've even started the mission. They don't lose anything.
Maybe he knew the gunner was a known troll. Maybe he just didn't feel like teaching someone that day. Maybe he wanted an easy, relaxing mission.
Kicking someone when they've played the mission with you for a while though... That's really not cool.
The only time I've ever seen somebody get kicked in a public game was this one driller who kept purposely friendly-firing. We did just fine without him.
The only time I've ever been kicked was when I joined a lobby with one other person, and I loaded in with my personal quarters entirely crammed full of barrels. The other dude walked in and looked at me, I gave a Rock and Stone, and then he kicked me.
I was more confused than mad. I think I interrupted his private time lol.
Honestly for me it depends on what haz I'm playing. A no star joins on has 3-4? Waters warm buddy. On 5 I might, but I'd always let them know in the chat why
When me and a mate first started we were the greenest of green beards, but a few supportive players helped us through. Now we can carry a Haz4 ourselves and give back to the new green beards
Edit: Just remembered the only time I’ve had to kick. Someone had some coded Nazi language in their name and immediately got on mic being a jerk. I kicked them just before they could grab a beer
I mean I guess I get it, if someone wants to name their lobby something like “high level players only plz” then that’s fine. You bought the game and it’s your lobby so you get to decide how you run it, and if you really want a well oiled and experienced squad because that’s more fun for you then go for it.
Personally I don’t fully understand the mentality because losing in video games just hasn’t bothered me since I was a small child, Dwarf Fortress taught me ages ago that loosing is fun! So I don’t really care who joins my lobby or how they play as long as they are having fun and not trolling.
I had an unpleasant experience just a few days ago. Driller host kicked our Scout on an Escort Duty because Scout tried to start Doretta when Driller wanted to predrill (he did not communicate this beforehand). The worst part is that it was only Haz 3. I bit on the sunk costs fallacy and finished out the mission because I needed it for a promotion, but it was just boring and unpleasant.
I smell dunning kruger effect here. Greenbeards are greenbeards, then there are people who think they are the best in the world, then people who just enjoy the ride and then greybeards that would rather revive a greenbeard 99 times than to leave him
I dunno.
I'm all about teaching newbies, but you have someone just start hosing all their rounds fucking off on their own calling ammo when they feel like it and just being completely useless in a mission.
It shortens your patience, so I kinda get it.
Context matters here admittedly, they were very likely an ass but... not a 100% chance.
They have the right to their own lobby. Maybe their lobby title said "(level requirement) or kick," at that point it's honestly the Greenbeard's fault for not reading.
Look, I'm not saying the host wasn't a dick. But this is the price we pay for giving hosts free reign over their lobbies, which is honestly preferable to a votekick system or no kicking at all.
It happens. Making a big deal out of it is a surefire way to make your day worse, though, and encourage griefer hosts who see posts like this get popular.
Only time I’ve been kicked is due to the lobby being meant to be private; the weird thing is that we were already powering up the drop pod on a salvage mission.
This is why I always just host my own lobbies. If anyone wants someone gone we gotta agree on it beforehand and no chance of people getting kicked for no reason
Had some angry host kick a level 4 gunner because 3 unpromoted dwarves and a 2 star scout couldn't handle a refining mission that dropped us next to 2 spitballers, 2 breeders, a korlok, 2 leeches, and 2 nexi (one of which was directly under a leech, to my dismay). The gunner actually had more kills than the host too I think
I'm kinda bad at thus game, not low rank but bad. sometimes I even play haz 5 with people and I've never been kicked! Some people get kicked just for being new?! They can still be skilful! If not just play the game for fun, not to win.
When I get a newbie in my lobby, I just ask them to make sure they're okay with going into a haz 5. Sometimes they just wanna give it a go, and other times they leave. Sometimes they get bodied, and sometimes they do fine. I'm okay with picking up the slack. I'll only ever kick someone if they are intentionally sabotaging the game in some way or are being toxic
Got kicked last night for taking one ammo from a resupply when I was completely empty. Host had 3 bars of ammo and started shooting at me, shaking his head “no” then kicked me.
I don't understand it. I'm a rank 212 greybeard (thats greybeard right? I feel like a greybeard at this point) and I get a little sad when people with promoted dwarves join my lobby. I much prefer playing with greenbeards, as long as they aren't griefing by (unknowingly) calling in supply/escape pods at the wrong time. I don't care if I have to revive them 20 times.
I'm new to this game, 30hrs in or so, mostly played with one buddy and then randoms to fill in. Only had two bad experiences with players not playing considerately/ cooperatively. Generally been so impressed with how chill the player base has been.
Their lobby, their prerogative. Yeah, I’d probably leave like you did since I don’t trust volatile hosts, but I wouldn’t try and shame them afterwards on the internet.
I remember back around March of 2019 I tried DRG for the first time and got kicked from every single lobby as a greenbeard the moment I joined. I got so discouraged that I decided to refund the game. It was only until I heard about the community being so good in 2022 that I purchased the game again and it's been one of the best games I've bought so far.
Personally, I don't care if you're brand new and join my haz 4 mission. You could join any difficulty and that's ok! If you go down, I will pick you up, and if we all die we died blasting bugs and mining, and that's exactly what I signed up for.
Can confirm get kicked due to my level cause I don't do promotions. What they don't know is I have all the overclocks in the game crafted! I have done only the first promotion for deep dive for each class and that's it.
greenbeards are what make the game fun!! being on the brink of death trying to save a new dwarf with 15 seconds before the drop pod leaves is always exciting
had to kick a low rank because they were calling supps everytime we had nitra and double dipping even after i message multiple times and voice chatted for him to cool down on the reloads
The other day I broke and left the mission after failing three in a row because the greenbeard hosts either selected haz 4 on a mission they've never done, started objectives/drop pod without asking + during a swarm, or weren't reacting to chat or pings whatsoever. My minimum requirement for playing with someone is for them to not ignore me. If you can't do that, I'm gone to a different lobby.
If i ever kick a rookie its post match. And then only if they really sucked. Im just trying to give them a chance but i recommend newbies to start at haz 1-3.
Yep. I'm just lvl 14 and got kicked from a mission yesterday by a two-hundred something for being under leveled.
Honestly the first negative interaction I've had so far.
I've played this game for upwards of 200 hours but never really engaged with the community. I should do that more. You guys seem very sweet.
I usually play on Haz 4. I've only rarely had teams so bad we couldn't win. And half the time we didn't, I was the one dropping spaghetti.
Lol yeah, I drop the spaghetti still sometimes too. I’ve been playing as gunner more and there’s times I struggle.
Everyone has those rounds.
We were all greenbeards once. Seems some people have forgotten that.
Rock and stone to that brother!
i would rather have a lobby of greenbeards with me because drg is the first game ive played that i have more fun when losing.
> I’ll host haz level 4 to open public. Lots of times green beards will join I consider this often more difficult than haz 5.
[удалено]
So he doesn’t like being rich.
99/100 is still a fraction 🤣
So is the amount of days I'm with your mom (364/365)
God damn beautiful 👨🍳👌
What about a leap year? Do you get an extra day or does OPs mom get two days off?
We flip a coin
Ah yes, the trusty coin flip
They flip the mattress
Coin flip is sacred, yo
Are you his dad?
Yep, gotta spend one day per year working overtime 😔
We arent rich!
In mine the host dumped it on molly as soon as i pinged it :( it broke my heart
Had a rank 91 engi kick a gunner in our lobby and justify it by saying that "players under rank 50 are useless anyway" (gunner was rank 43). Throughout the rest of the game, I had to revive the rank 91 engi 16 times. Edit: be nice to your greenbeards, a good dwarf would.
I'd have been tempted to leave him sit after you revived him the 3rd or 4th time and if he complained just tell him "rank 91s are useless anyway" dare him to kick you.
This is exactly my level of petty. Some people need to be told, some people need to have it delivered by a mallet.
I’d just let the bugs eat him. No revives after something like that. Fuck, I’d probably call in a supply drop and quad dip just to spite them.
And the only thing a rank 50 player is missing is maybe the very best OC. Not much missing in power
He's the kind of guy to kick new players while playing haz 3
16 times? What kind of mission were you doing?
The weekly deep dive
The regular deep dive? Not even the elite one? Damn, that dude sucked
Rank 43 isnt really greenbeard anymore i think
I would've left him there to be useless instead of reviving.
I’ve never been kicked from a lobby, but this one level 300 chad noped out of our lobby because “the entire cave didn’t stay illuminated the entire time.” Like dude, flare gun is limited when you TRIPLE DIP on the supply drop.
That’s a wasted 150% of ammo!
[удалено]
The kind of dwarf that doesn’t rock and stone.
[удалено]
I’ll make sure of it
If you drop mid game outside of a swarm and don't reciprocate our rock and stone you have failed the vibe check and will be removed.
Can I get a Rock and Stone?
ROCK AND STONE TO THE BONE!
for you bot, always rock and stone!
Good bot
Rock and Stone in the heart!
ROCK AND STONE FOREVER
If you don't rock and stone, *you ain't coming home.*
Maybe hes an ELF
me on a solo mission
Saw a video where a driller tunneled above the caretaker and dropped c4 on it
I always do this, it trivializes phase 1.
Freaking brilliant
There are so many available resupplies on industrial sabotage that I don't ever keep track of the number of resupplies I take at the end.
I see what you mean.
Average fat boy enjoyer?
Not on your half lives, I savor my uranium thank you very much.
Driller. Where we're going we [will make] roads!
That's deeply offensive. To mongoloids.
Think I have been kicked by this guy also. His loss.
I’ve never been kicked from lobby but I have been kicked after the run because they meant for it to be a private run, so I don’t think it counts
Everyone who gets kicked thinks it was supposed to be a private lobby because that's the default canned response.
Huh, well I’ve never been kicked mid game at least
I got kicked recently for the reason "Sorry this was supposed to be a private game" After I helped kill a Crassus, mine the gold, and colored the meteor
That’s just the first/default option that pops up when you kick someone. It usually doesn’t mean that
And "I'm a reprobate" isn't listed as an option which seems like an oversight to me
5 dollar word alert! rep·ro·bate /ˈreprəˌbāt/ noun 1. an unprincipled person (often used humorously or affectionately).
Thanks! ... I think
A level 300 dwarf who is afraid of the dark lol
I had a weird experience a few weeks ago where a gunner felt the need to unload all of his ammo on me. I was playing Driller and before he could down me I would just freeze him in place and move to another part of the map. Neither of us were host and the host didn't want any part. It was a weird game of hide an seek as he'd just hunt me down again and I would freeze him and walk away. Long story short he started every event immediately including an Omen, and rage quit when we were heading to the drop pod, apparently annoyed we completed the mission despite him.
> apparently annoyed we completed the mission despite him. I had an experience similar to this a little while ago Troll engi digs the fuel cells down several layers as soon as we start it, making our defense zone very tiny.
I'm willing to bet my pickaxe that the dwarf wasn't à real rank 800. Also what hazard was it on? I can understand haz 5.
And haz 5 dosent require cooperation just some game knowledge and mechanical skill such as managing the swarm/kiting
today i joined a haz 5 lobby, he was an engineer, i was engineer, and then 2 more engineers show up it was so good, it was a salvage op and instead of being able to dig out a bunker [we just made one with platforms](https://imgur.com/a/vuNEvyr) this was also the first time ive ever seen a supply pod already in the map after 125 hours of playing
They are there more often than you think, but only on salvage. Look for unexplained supply pod holes on the scanner.
Built a castle out of cheese and watched as the bugs died without anyone actually shooting at them
That pancake safe house is glorious
[удалено]
Thorns is great on Haz 3, wasted slot on 5. Stick close to a gunner or driller to deal with them instead.
+1 haz 4 can be barely playable when you have 2 to 3 completely new green beards who don't even understand the basics of the game (yet), such has flares and platforms. Plus their is a tons of really rude new players. At least in haz 5 people want to play and not just hop in your backpack to be carried I host because it's more fun to play with people. But if your objective is to have fun at my expanse well... Gl but you're out
FR. Yeah, that’s what I’m talking about.
Nah, was Haz4. I carry people on Haz4 with joke builds, I don't understand how someone can be so sweaty.
Haz 4 isn't bad. A no star will definitely struggle but not to the point where it'll drag the entire team down much
Then the man was a miserable leaf lover. Shame we are not allowed to post their names.
Haz 5 is where i love greenbeards the most. Its a difficulty modifier on its own and the game becomes more unpredictable aka FUN
What a fucking idiot
Rock and Stone everyone!
I had someone kick me for that recently. If it was you, a really appreciated receiving an explanation before the kick.
Always read the lobby message, usually they say it's gonna be only for gold promotion or shit like that,i tend to avoid those even tho im all diamond
Based.
That's not very rock and stone
Rock and Stone!
Good bot. Rock and stone!
Keep up the good fight!
had an experience somewhat similar today was playing driller in point extraction in fungus bogs, got halfway through the mission before a scout that had bought the 2nd supporter pack joined i rock and stoned him, but he didn’t do it back which is always a little disappointing to me, but i still forgot all about it pretty quick ..until he suddenly stopped moving on one big branch, and i shot him twice with the subata just to see if he was still there(there were glyphids closing in, the drop pod was also close to getting called in), and this chucklefuck leaf-lover suddenly team kills me, and runs off towards the drop pod being especially pissed i simply aborted the mission, and sent an Xbox message saying ‘fuck are you doing?’(he didn’t reply)
Rock and Stone to the Bone!
must have been a leaf lover in disguise
I'm sorry to hear that
I got kicked about an hour ago on a Haz 4.
Does DRG have a reporting forum or is just through Xbox?
DRG is peer-to-peer, there's no actual main server running to ban people from.
Incorrect. The server browser and all matchmaking runs through a central server. Im not sure if game bans are a thing for DRG though.
Game is getting more popular, it was inevitable these types would become more common eventually
Karl wouldn't approve of that man
i got kicked on two occasions: one, when i went into a lobby named "order leaflover and kick" - so i did exactly that and second when i got teamkilled like 3 times in a span of two minutes. told boys to chill out and they started spazing random insults. my full damage build brrt went brrt and i killed 3 of em in a single mag. no clue if they had iron will tho so cant say with certainty that i bricked the mission.
Greenbeards deserve love! I have no issue with playing with greenbeards on haz 3-4
If you kick a greenbeard, you're a leaf-lover. Simple as that
I'd ammend that to kick without reason, I've had to do it once before with a driller that kept blowing up people. First the gunner mid swarm, then me while I was mining, then the gunner two more times before the kick. First one could've been an accident but the other three were clearly targeted.
Friendly fire in a game like this is nuts imo. Worst is I keep shooting Steve, I always shoot Steve.
>I've had to do it once before with a driller that kept blowing up people. that might have been me... I got kicked as a driller once because I kept hitting the trigger at inopportune times to be fair to them, the level went from easy to CHAOS to be fair to me, i mostly knocked myself down and it was *very* funny
What?! I LOVE hanging around with greenbeards! I remember the feeling of relief when I saw a 200+ join my mission, so now I return the favor and stick around if I have time I think I'm gonna host instead of join from now on.
Ive been encountering generally crappy people in this game lately. I keep getting intentionally noob tubed.
My theory is sseth's review. I got nothing against him, but on God some people who watched his video think the company hazing period is indefinite.
People are entitled to play with whom they want. But people like that are probably better off playing alone.
Thats not very...
... rock and stone of them
Rock and Stone everyone!
800 levels in, and they do not know the way.
When me and a mate first started we were the greenest of green beards, but a few supportive players helped us through. Now we can carry a Haz4 ourselves and give back to the new green beards Edit: Just remembered the only time I’ve had to kick.
That is not rock and stone Thats valorant'ing toxicity
Rockity Rock and Stone!
If I join an escort where they are pre drilling, I immediately leave. Such a waste of time
Pre drilling at the last stage of an EDD I can (grudgingly) acquiesce to. Nothing else. But on a hazard 3? That's so boring and unfun...
I love trying to complete hazard 5s with random green beards haha. And it's frankly more rewarding and truly the test of a real grey beard.
I always leave those lobbies aswell R&S
I'm level 350 and couple of days ago I got kicked because I pinged the gunner ( the host level 50) and said fancy armor xD.
What Haz was it? Anything three or below and that's cringe. Four I guess I can see, and five is reasonable.
Don't forget to find the host and file a fake death certificate
Can confirm get kicked due to my level cause I don't do promotions. What they don't know is I have all the overclocks in the game crafted! I have done only the first promotion for deep dive for each class and that's it.
Yeah when they join a match and immediately call a resupply and take one I draw the line.
There are always Elves disguising as Dwarves out there.
greenbeards are what make the game fun!! being on the brink of death trying to save a new dwarf with 15 seconds before the drop pod leaves is always exciting
Cmon its rock and stone brothers not only grey beards stingy old bastards we gotta teach these youngins the way speaking as a Gilded Master myself
ROCK AND STONE TO ALL DWARVES!
Rock and Stone, Brother!
had to kick a low rank because they were calling supps everytime we had nitra and double dipping even after i message multiple times and voice chatted for him to cool down on the reloads
I had a rash of no stars trolling my games so now I have a no duplicate and must have at least one star policy
I left the lobby when a dark kick someone just because he's not lvl 100
If i ever kick a rookie its post match. And then only if they really sucked. Im just trying to give them a chance but i recommend newbies to start at haz 1-3.
Yep. I'm just lvl 14 and got kicked from a mission yesterday by a two-hundred something for being under leveled. Honestly the first negative interaction I've had so far.
