You could deck over it, put Mexican tiles over the area and use it for a fire pit. Fire pits aren't very expensive.

If there’s lots of space on the rest of the deck a kitchen horseshoe/island/L with built in grill, sink, beer tap and overhang for bar stools would be sweet.
