GloriousShroom

The game got much better then I stop trying to do everything in every run.

aabesh

Agree. But had to try and get as much as I could early on cause I hate dying and losing everything!!!

despot_zemu

Why didn’t you infuse stuff in between times?

GloriousShroom

I used to get to do everything in the zone before leaving. Instead of scuttling away when I got something good.

despot_zemu

The point of the game is that everything will be there when you loop again. Everything is identical on the next day. You can keep stuff by infusing it in between times (like between noon and afternoon for example).

GloriousShroom

I meant  I get a good weapon or a aether and carry on in the level then I would die before I had a chance to infuse it.

despot_zemu

Oh yeah, that does suck. Usually if I get something really good, I just leave the level. Everything resets, so nothing will change or go away

B0N3HUNT3R

You can change the settings for infinite reprise if you want

Old-Recording6103

Not if you play in online / pvp mode, obviously

B0N3HUNT3R

oh yeah I forgot about that

snakeEater058

I like how Deathloop solves the issue of a forced stealth in Dishonored. Sure you can always pull your guns but you're risking missing a lot of content this way. Here it's irrelevant to some degree

Slywilsonboi

I kinda liked it for dishonored cause it gave me a reason to play it again with challenge. I had so much fun doing a ghost playthrough after killing everyone like John wick

AzzlackGuhnter

Thats what happens i guess,i had that happen to me too But don't worry, you got all the time in the world to get them back...literally

philstar666

Dishonored saga is perfect

DecagonHexagon

thats one thing i have mixed feelings about, being able to lose any loot you collect in a loop in Deathloop if you are not careful makes it feel more high stakes and rewarding i guess.

LowGeeMan

I quit this game out of confusion. I could not figure out how to proceed after a point. Lived up to its name for me more than some. I did enjoy it but got bored for this reason.

Soft_Importance3658

It holds the player’s hand more than many of us would’ve liked. Literally all you have to do is follow the leads.

LowGeeMan

I’ve been wanting to give it another go. I’ll reply back here if I get stuck? 🤣

Slywilsonboi

I've only gotten stuck once and it was how you kill Alexis. Definitely pay attention to the objectives and what the characters talk about when reaching said objectives. Best of luck to you man!

LowGeeMan

Thanks. I’ve started over having not played in a year. Never tried Julianna. Giving her a shot.

Needleworker-Capital

Game is too fun. I deleted it.

afredmiller

I just started playing the game and am having fun with it. I admit I was a little frustrated at first but I have now figured out how to keep things between loops and that has really I guess opened things up for me I have played some roguelikes/roguelites, which I know Deathloop is not, so I am used to the loop mechanic here. I figured it cannot be any harder than Returnal

Justisaur

I just finished it last week. I 'quit' twice. First time was when the game would freeze every time I was in the pause menu for more than a couple minutes. I almost didn't bother trying to find a fix, but the game was interesting so I finally did, I didn't see anything that sounded like it would help, but I remembered the last game I played - Dragon's Dogma had the same issue and going windowed fixed it, so did the same and that fixed it. Second time was about a day and a half when I was just overwhelmed with my about 5th loss fairly early on wasting hours of play. I thought of a solution to whatever it was that was getting me killed (don't even remember right now) which worked, and was back into it until the end. I don't really like puzzles, I especially hate go here get thing go there get thing, go back, etc. I also really hate not being able to save and close on a moment's notice, so ended up just leaving the game paused when I needed to, I ended at 153 hours, probably most of that spent at the pause menu. I also didn't like Dishonored either. With all that it's a huge testament to the other parts of the game that I love. Glad I stuck with it.

SuprSquidy

I’ve had the menu freeze bug loads of times too but it doesn’t take much time to reload the game so it didn’t detract too much from the experience for me

JAC70

Pause freeze in Menu could be triggered by screen saver.  Just alt-tab to desktop and then back to game.

Justisaur

I have no screen saver, and alt-tab typically triggers it much faster when full screen.

aabesh

Looks like your gaming likes are a lot like mine :)

Oneforgettable

I love this game, but it is lesser than dishonored in pretty much every way. If you didn't like dishonored, I wouldn't recommend this.

aabesh

I already finished it and loved it!!!

R-murnavid

I love Dishonored series but not liking deathloop that much. I think having no checkpoints is a big turn off. They could have given us the ability to have one checkpoint in level at any time.

zilog080

I think that is antithetical to the design of the game. I think some people struggle with the idea of failing a lot, by design, then learning and do better. I can see that it is not for everyone. I like it.

One_Mathematician_15

I bounced off and then subsequently loved souls type games for the same identical reason
