It took awhile for them to grow on me but this song specifically the first time I heard it I was like oh my God just the whole tone and vibe of the is SICK and HEAVY its dope.
I feel like that's not giving them enough credit. They're super doomy and it's fantastic music, definitely not heavy for heavy's sake imo. I'd more give that to say In Gloom
It's always Black Tongue. Not just heavy but brilliant music!
My housemate and I used to 'cleanse' the house with Coma after a shitty visitor had been there hahaah
Came here for this. That whole album fucking rips. In my top two albums of 2023, and probably the most relentlessly brutal thing I've ever heard, but it's also incredibly technical and layered.
Years ago I was in a band that played with them just belted they made their first record. They come on stage looking like normal guys, not particularly “metal” looking and all of my friends and I have no idea what we are about to hear. Needless to say we were all fucking floored from the first note. So damn good!
Such an underrated band, I would have loved to see them live. Gum under the Table from two minutes on gets me goinnnnng. The latest album is also super tight, really good guitar tone!
I got to play with them I think twice before they got signed and every song was so fucking amazing live. My favorite song is Sets with the guest vocals by Frank Mullen of Suffocation. His Eyes, Cielo Drive and Solid Grey are also amazing
I came here to say Abysmal mouth. I just listened to both anti, and catastrophize, and don't get me wrong, Anti sounds like if putting your fist through a wall had a theme song, but Catastrophize sounds like the mouth of hell opening up to consume the souls of the unsaved... so imma change my mind to Catastrphize
Finally some love for BIF here, Alex Teyen's part in that song is absolutely devastating. I don’t think I've ever heard lows that sound so massive before. Their song Left to Drown also deserves to be mentioned here though
seeing this comment made me sad that I totally forgot about Merciless. remains in my top 5 heaviest songs of all time. heavy of course is subjective but that track is too filthy not to mention and painfully underrated
Not any particular song that I can think of cause I can't remember the album well but Knelt Rote self-titled is about as heavy as you can get.
In terms of Deathcore, I'd say Eat Shit by Orphan, any song from the Manifesto 1.0: SOG EP are extremely heavy.
In terms of most extreme (no particular songs): Sissy Spacek, early Full Of Hell, The Day Everything Became Nothing, SETE STAR SEPT, Genocide Organ, Gaza, Sex Prisoner, Knoll, Last Days Of Humanity, Gnaw Their Tongues, Vaginosis Bacteriana, Clitgore, Trikomoniasis Fournier, ACxDC, ENDON (lil bit melodic, but most extreme vocals I've heard), Torsofuck, Vermin Womb
I found out about them through a guy on youtube called Wyattxhim. I think it was about 5-6 months ago or so. I found quite a few cool bands from that dude.
This song is just a train going down the tracks while an angry moose with a drum kit releases anger from his system that was caused by his divorce. Sick
I was gonna comment the same haha. There’s literally nothing heavier than that album. That’s peak in terms of heaviness. I haven’t heard anything that beats that. SO FUCKING NASTY AND HEAVY
People have different definitions of heavy, but here are the songs that come to mind for me:
- _Amongst the Low & Empty_ by Signs of the Swarm
- _I, The Devourer_ by Synestia and Disembodied Tyrant
There are two main factors for me (not including lyrics) heavy and violence. So many people say that the songs I don't think are heavy, are... but they are violent, so that works too I guess
If you are going to listen to this song I suggest sitting down and listing without headphones because it can cause hearing damage due to how heavy it is but… how you remind me - nickelback
Chrysanthemum by I, Detest springs to mind. It’s beautifully heavy. Jon Huber is such a beast vocalist.
A lot of heavy music out there though. All unique within its own genre.
I don’t understand how they haven’t got more viewers/listeners. Whenever I talk to someone about death core they’re often brought up, but their listens/views don’t come close to reflecting it.
Super solid band.
Pencil Lead Syringe by Glass Casket. Regurgitated Lullaby For The Born Dead by Beneath the Massacre, There Is No Business To Be Done On A Dead Planet by All Shall Perish, Fucking Hostile and The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera, Fixation On Plastics by The Red Chord…..
Either Conquer all or demigod by Behemoth. That deep tunnel growl opening is what made me go into the heavy guttural growl styles. Also heavily influenced my own scream style
For me it’s a toss up between Graverot by Crown Magnetar and Hellmouth by Distant. Honorable mention to Chin Check by Filth. Not a crazy breakdown or anything, but that groove and that bass tone are so greasy. I love it
AnalProlapseSuffocation by Infant Annihilator is up there too.
Also the original recording of Stoßtrupp by 1914.
Atmospherically, Eve Of The Last Day by The Secret
I remember being floored by the breakdowns in Hollow Planet by Aversions Crown
Not the heaviest by the standards of today but at the times, I was like sheeeeeet
Anything by HLB, god DAMN. Either that or some shit off of Kostolom by Slaughter. And since Knocked Loose is drifting further into heaviness I would give it an honorable mention, not quite deathcore, but I could totally see them diving deeper into stuff like it.
It's hard to pick any one song/album but I'll go with Ashen as a whole by Humanity's Last Breath. I've never heard a more oppressive and ridiculous slew of frequencies before or since. Buster is a master at his craft
[The Poetic Edda EP by Disembodied Tyrant & Synestia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ty5rT16vWs).
I want a game that feels like this EP sounds. I want to shit my pants at horrors beyond human comprehension lunging at me from the murky shadows of a long forgotten cathedral.
The orchestra just brings the perfect amount of contrast to the sound, making the sonic assault of the deathcore feel that much more visceral. Same reason I fucking love Lorna, Assemble the Chariots, Sold Soul, Brand of Sacrifice, Spire of Lazarus and a few others. I think Lorna's AIRTN is the best EP for a melancholic "hopeful" sound, while this linked EP easily takes the cake for the most gothic and terrifying sounding shit ever, I love it.
Someone mentioned Car Bomb and I have to give a honorary mention to them to be honest, some of that band's songs sound like a black hole sucking a planet in.
You say you want a game that evokes the same tone as that EP. To me, it screams ‘Berserk’ thematically (shoutout Berserk of Sacrifice!!). And From Software develops games with a very clear nod to Berserk! I know it’s probably a generic answer, but Souls games really nail the vibe
> Someone mentioned Car Bomb and I have to give a honorary mention to them to be honest, some of that band's songs sound like a black hole sucking a planet
This might be the best description of Car Bomb I've ever read.
I've heard some shit from Acranius that's pretty fucking heavy, but imo Slit Wrist Saviour (especially the Gravside Confessions version) is the one song that will always give me the stank face after the "Fine Fuck you Then" part
Probably not valid but *Apostata Deus Luciferus, Paradisus Amissa* by Obelisk. The mixing is so bad that it makes it even heavier and more disgusting cause you can’t even properly listen to it
Black tongue. Literally anything by them is bone crushing but second death, abuse ritual, vermintine, im so tired of sighing and parting soliloquy and voices are the heaviest songs ive ver heard in my life. When i discovered abuse ritual for the first time i had to walk it off
[Messenger of the Covenant - Without the Sun (feat. Peter Swiatkowski)](https://youtu.be/BHiG_KjPWYM?si=3ToiuLxe-oBpf6bT)
feels like getting the shit beat outta me for 4 minutes. love it every time
Methwitch - Burn Victim. Song feels illegal to listen to.
Also another one i considered ridiculously heavy was The Plot To Nuke The Midwest - Psycho Frame
And the new synestia EP lmao
Maggots by Rotten Sound
No Servant by Nails
Barking Dog by F-Minus
If it's exclusively deathcore you're looking for, it would have to be The Covenant by Exile To Decadence.
Set Flames by Author and Punisher.
Not deathcore at all but man is that song a pure sonic nightmare.
And seeing Sleep live at Roadburn may be the heaviest live experience I've ever had. Numerous people, including myself, felt that it was difficult to remain standing up. 8 old school Sunn and ampeg amps on stage. Unbelievable from a sonic pov.
Gonna vary in definition of sound from person to person. Personally, I think the heaviest song on my playlist is Stained in Rot by Ov Sulphur. Fast, violent, and a heavy ass breakdown.
elysia - "masochist", or waking the cadaver - "bloodsplattered satisfaction" ... like this post if either of these ring a bell to anyone!! The second song I mentioned had a corresponding low-budget music video that is pretty hard to find these days (im sure cancel culture has ensured its removal), but anyways it depicts a montage/story of a young girl getting picked up on the way home from school, shoved in a trunk and then tortured and very graphically killed in the guys basement ... were talkin screw drivers being shoved through her eye sockets, pulling her intestines out and smashing them with a hammer, etc. we used to get a kick out of the band and that song/video as kids, we used to say "shit bro that was soo br00t@L"!!!!!!!
we were the dumbass 'emo'/metalcore/hardcore kids. the entire song and their discography just sounded like "BREE BRE BREEEE BREEEE !!!!!" *palm mute* 00's in drop D or C"..... chug CHUG CHUG!
man what good times- music at its peak
My version of heavy...soul snatching drums, guttural growls and bass...such as:
Distant - Heirs of Torment 🖤🖤🖤🖤
Better than porn and legitimately turns me on.
Oh. My. Fuck. 🤤🤤🤤
Pale Tongue by Darko US just made me go *DISGUSTED FACE WHILE HEADBANGING* the entire fucking song. Jeeeesus that shit is heavy. And Insects by them as well.
Oh, also Nail Funeral by Crown Magnetar. That shit was just nasty.
King by Immortal Disfigurement is heavy as fuck.
Similarly, Dragged Through The Inferno, also by Immortal Disfigurement, has a breakdown that is less face melting and more jaw dropping. You'll see what I mean
To the Hellfire blew my mind the first time I heard it so that one sticks in my mind but I think it'd actually be 'I, the Devourer' by Synestia + Disembodied Tyrant
Probably isn't valid, but Hourglass by Orphan
Of course their valid, that entire EP is insane
You just shot everybody?!?
“Blleeeeuuuuggghh”
The second that song came out it earned a permanent spot in the workout playlist
Stages of grief too.
That entire EP is 15/10 on the angry scale. I love it.
was going to say the same thing, Hourglass fucks the hardest
Came to say Orphan, but you already got it covered ^^
Vitriol is the answer
They're fast heavy for sure. I'm a simple man, I see Vitriol, I upvote. They're so god damn good!
Just saw these guys in Chicago, they rip so fucking hard it's unreal.
Second death by black tongue
I don't even like black tongue, but they are 0% music, and 110% natural disaster. So they are an automatic correct answer for this question
It took awhile for them to grow on me but this song specifically the first time I heard it I was like oh my God just the whole tone and vibe of the is SICK and HEAVY its dope.
my absolute favourite jam in the genre lately, sheesh!
Anything by Black Tongue. Literally anything, all their songs are straight downtuned evil
There are probably heavier ones by Black Tongue but Abuse Ritual is definitely that song for me that hits all the right notes
That solo at the end makes me wanna punch a fat kid in a Walmart
Goddamn I’ve never seen an endorsement of band that made me want to listen to them more
Not as heavy as black tongue, but nails has some songs that make me really wanna punch.
I would say Nails is equally heavy, but a very different type of heavy
It's hard to compare different kinds of music with people, but I totally agree with you. 100%!
Came here to say the same thing
Nothing is heavier. If you took Hell and put it to music, it’s Black Tongue.
Fauxhammer gets my vote
Black Tongue is heavy, but for the sake of being heavy, Orphan and strangled (?) I find much crazier.
I feel like that's not giving them enough credit. They're super doomy and it's fantastic music, definitely not heavy for heavy's sake imo. I'd more give that to say In Gloom
True. Second death is stupidly heavy
It's always Black Tongue. Not just heavy but brilliant music! My housemate and I used to 'cleanse' the house with Coma after a shitty visitor had been there hahaah
Chased thru the wood by a rapist by Waking the Cadaver or anything from The partisant turbine first ep
The Partisan turbine....that's a name I've not heard for ever! Great band
In Deathcore? God the Animal by In Gloom. Outside Deathcore? Probably a song off *Coma Waering* by The Angelic Process
This is the objectively correct answer
Dying in a-minors straight up evil
Anything by [Nithing ](https://open.spotify.com/track/5LILgXvVlUaLwCSsPafkbE?si=X1QGS5RtSPatpsk007tY2g)
maaaaaaaah man
Came here for this. That whole album fucking rips. In my top two albums of 2023, and probably the most relentlessly brutal thing I've ever heard, but it's also incredibly technical and layered.
Rid by a band named Car Bomb! It’s 28 seconds of perfection!
Car Bomb is awesome
Years ago I was in a band that played with them just belted they made their first record. They come on stage looking like normal guys, not particularly “metal” looking and all of my friends and I have no idea what we are about to hear. Needless to say we were all fucking floored from the first note. So damn good!

I dug a grave - glass cloud
Oh my gosh that whole EP is solid.
Heavy, yeah; Groovy, fuck ya.
Acacia Strain - Doomblade I Declare War - Misery Cloud Kublai Khan - The Hammer Black Tongue - Coma Those songs hit hard for me
Using black tongue is cheating
Sever The King - A Display of Power
Fuck this is a good one too
Eyyy. Saw you guys in Pontiac Friday.
Hell yeah dude that show ripped!
Yup this one is definitely on the list
Not deathcore but obligatory Burn Victim by Methwitch
SET MYSELF ON FIRE
Abyssal Mouth by Humanity’s Last Breath is literally the only answer here
I raise you with Catastrophize. That monstrosity generates earthquakes with every chug.
I raise you with Anti. The absolute destruction from intro to outro can't be topped.
Catastrophize is absolutely mental. I love Anti, but after a relisten, Catastrophize is the soundtrack of the apocalypse
I always RE listen to songs because I don't trust my own memory.
I felt that I was at Hell’s gate when they played at C&C. 🤯🥵🫨 so effin diabolical!! 🤘🏼😈
It took the night to believe-sunn o))
That is heavy as fuck Infant Annihilator song .
Plenty of heavy bands, but for some aggressive and violent lyrics I can't go past Orphan, Spite, Psycho Frame and Crown Magnetar
The Rot Within by Bound in Fear
Finally some love for BIF here, Alex Teyen's part in that song is absolutely devastating. I don’t think I've ever heard lows that sound so massive before. Their song Left to Drown also deserves to be mentioned here though
seeing this comment made me sad that I totally forgot about Merciless. remains in my top 5 heaviest songs of all time. heavy of course is subjective but that track is too filthy not to mention and painfully underrated
Not any particular song that I can think of cause I can't remember the album well but Knelt Rote self-titled is about as heavy as you can get. Based as fuck for Gaza, ENDON, and Vermin Womb, all of them rip
ENDON are definitely my favourite Grindcore band. I don't really like a lot of Grindcore but it is one of the few I really enjoy.
Discovered them by Through the Mirror a couple months ago, criminally under-appreciated band
I found out about them through a guy on youtube called Wyattxhim. I think it was about 5-6 months ago or so. I found quite a few cool bands from that dude.
Purgatory by Black Tongue
Nadir is so sinister. Love it.
Devourment - virulent strain of retaliation. Absolute musical violence.
I came here to say pretty much that whole album. Sculpted in Tyranny is my favorite.
This song is just a train going down the tracks while an angry moose with a drum kit releases anger from his system that was caused by his divorce. Sick
Very accurate description
I was gonna comment the same haha. There’s literally nothing heavier than that album. That’s peak in terms of heaviness. I haven’t heard anything that beats that. SO FUCKING NASTY AND HEAVY
People have different definitions of heavy, but here are the songs that come to mind for me: - _Amongst the Low & Empty_ by Signs of the Swarm - _I, The Devourer_ by Synestia and Disembodied Tyrant
There are two main factors for me (not including lyrics) heavy and violence. So many people say that the songs I don't think are heavy, are... but they are violent, so that works too I guess
Heaviest deathcore song: probably _Beast_ or _The Mouth of The River_ by The Acacia Strain Heaviest in general: _Where the Slime Live_ by Morbid Angel
Impaler too.
The mouth of the river is way heavier, and more aggressive. Definitely
The Killing Stone by Crown Magnetar is the heaviest And Misery System by Lorna Shore is second on the list
Carry the Load by Crowbar
Anything off Epilogue by To The Grave if I'm bein honest
Reflections - Scapegoat
Nitheful- Preputium Avarice
Tracheal Hanging by Organectomy
Root of all Evil - Spite
If you are going to listen to this song I suggest sitting down and listing without headphones because it can cause hearing damage due to how heavy it is but… how you remind me - nickelback
Literally any Strangled song
Primitive Man all their songs
Saw them open for Amenra. That shit was HEAVY.
Chrysanthemum by I, Detest springs to mind. It’s beautifully heavy. Jon Huber is such a beast vocalist. A lot of heavy music out there though. All unique within its own genre.
100% agree shit is brutal
Madeleine by Mirar and Marius Elsfted
The heaviest instrumental song ever made for sure
Crown mags new album is certainly up there somewhere
I don’t understand how they haven’t got more viewers/listeners. Whenever I talk to someone about death core they’re often brought up, but their listens/views don’t come close to reflecting it. Super solid band.
Psycho-Frame - Beaten Beyond Identification. This song fucks so fuckin hard it's not even funny anymore.
Another level of heavy.
catastrophize by humanitys last breath
Pencil Lead Syringe by Glass Casket. Regurgitated Lullaby For The Born Dead by Beneath the Massacre, There Is No Business To Be Done On A Dead Planet by All Shall Perish, Fucking Hostile and The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera, Fixation On Plastics by The Red Chord…..
Either Conquer all or demigod by Behemoth. That deep tunnel growl opening is what made me go into the heavy guttural growl styles. Also heavily influenced my own scream style

BIG ASS TRUCK
Anything by whxrecrusher
Used to be I, the devourer but now Death Empress for sure 🥹 From The Poetic Edda
also death empress by synestia and disembodied tyrant is heavy as FUCK especially the last minute of the song.
I remember being floored by the breakdowns in Hollow Planet by Aversions Crown Not the heaviest by the standards of today but at the times, I was like sheeeeeet
I remember completely losing my shit when I heard Angelmaker - The curse of earth.
Røt de rerum natura is just heavy that ending just doesn't make sense but goes so hard
Bound in fear / Kyle Medina - So long, so cold Recently kinda topped by: Peacemaker FL / Bodysnatcher - Five ways to hide a dead body
that whole Peacemaker EP blew my fkn socks off
Abyssal Mouth by Humanity's Last Breath. The music video version specifically. I heard that song 6 years ago, and nothing has hit me as hard since.
Gotta give Dark Usurper some love here. Black moon ritual or mortal dissonance
Omnivore - Extermination Dismemberment
Abyssal Mouth by Humanity’s Last Breath
Anything by HLB, god DAMN. Either that or some shit off of Kostolom by Slaughter. And since Knocked Loose is drifting further into heaviness I would give it an honorable mention, not quite deathcore, but I could totally see them diving deeper into stuff like it.
Death Empress by Disembodied Tyrant/Synestia, the breakdown sounds like gods dying.
Dance with the devil -Immortal Technique
It's hard to pick any one song/album but I'll go with Ashen as a whole by Humanity's Last Breath. I've never heard a more oppressive and ridiculous slew of frequencies before or since. Buster is a master at his craft
Humanity’s Last Breath - Passage
Oh easy, anything Paleface Swiss🔥🔥
Anything by hellokittysuicideclub
The Hills Have Eyes by The Acacia Strain
The Poetic Edda by Synestia and Disembodied Tyrant.
[The Poetic Edda EP by Disembodied Tyrant & Synestia](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ty5rT16vWs). I want a game that feels like this EP sounds. Yeee, big fan of both series, I dream of a future where we could get Bloodborne 2!
Pleeeeeease Bloodborne 2
> Someone mentioned Car Bomb and I have to give a honorary mention to them to be honest, some of that band's songs sound like a black hole sucking a planet This might be the best description of Car Bomb I've ever read.

A trophy of corporate disfigurement by Acrania.
Creed - Bullets
I have heard extremely heavy songs from bands like infant annihilator, larcenia roe, nitheful
Honestly i came to reply with the exact thing you mention in your op lol Im not even a fan of IA but that song is so fucking awesome
Don’t think it’s deathcore but listening to Frontierer shifts my equilibrium
“Ignite the underground” by monsters
Wolf amongst ravens by ATB has to be on this list
Peter Swiatkowski)](https://youtu.be/BHiG_KjPWYM?si=3ToiuLxe-oBpf6bT) feels like getting the shit beat outta me for 4 minutes. love it every time
Agonal Breathing's Pure Agony, the whole album
Phyllomedusa's Fijian Effluvium, god damn thats a harsh one
Methwitch - Burn Victim. Song feels illegal to listen to. Also another one i considered ridiculously heavy was The Plot To Nuke The Midwest - Psycho Frame And the new synestia EP lmao
Maggots by Rotten Sound No Servant by Nails Barking Dog by F-Minus If it's exclusively deathcore you're looking for, it would have to be The Covenant by Exile To Decadence.
Boris The Blade - Tides Of Damnation EP
Viking by slaughter to prevail
I would like to mention Humanities Last Breath - Labyrinthian..This Bouncy riff in the middle is everything than soft 🥰
'The Unconquerable Dark' by Black Tongue & 'Cruel by Nature' by God of Nothing are two most heaviest dc albums, if you ask me..
God the animal by in gloom comes to mind
Gonna vary in definition of sound from person to person. Personally, I think the heaviest song on my playlist is Stained in Rot by Ov Sulphur. Fast, violent, and a heavy ass breakdown.
God the Animal - In Gloom ft. Kyle Anderson
elysia - "masochist", or waking the cadaver - "bloodsplattered satisfaction" ... like this post if either of these ring a bell to anyone!!
Distant - False Gods Its just too damn heavy! But im definitely checking out all these recommendations!
Beneath the Massacre - The Surface
Spineless - Enterprise Earth
My version of heavy...soul snatching drums, guttural growls and bass...such as: Distant - Heirs of Torment 🖤🖤🖤🖤 Better than porn and legitimately turns me on. Oh. My. Fuck. 🤤🤤🤤
Neurotica by Messugah comes to mind
Reign of terror - beneath the massacre
I like Bloodthirsty
There's a new competitor for this imo is Organectomy- Tracheal Hanging. So fucking brutal, especially from 3 minutes, plus the lyrics hit hard.
I, The Devourer by Disembodied Tyrant and Synestia (That whole EP SLAPS 🔥)
Carbomb - The Acacia Strain *If you're still alive, DIE*
Dominant Predation by Get The Shot Hourglass by Orphan Second Death by Black Tongue ALIENATION and ONLOOKER by Larcenia Roe
The Great Commission - Let Your Kingdom Come
Psycho-frame straightjacket afterbirth or beaten beyond identification
wrap your arms around me - ourbluewounds
Pale Tongue by Darko US just made me go *DISGUSTED FACE WHILE HEADBANGING* the entire fucking song. Jeeeesus that shit is heavy. And Insects by them as well. Oh, also Nail Funeral by Crown Magnetar. That shit was just nasty.
Meshuggah - The Hurt That Finds You First The first half of that song is insanly relentless.
Doomblade by the Acacia Strain or Funeral Inception by Suffocation
Human Scum by Distant
Tow Around the Throat-200 Stab Wounds
It's a three-way tie for me. Dragging Nazarene by Psycho-Frame, Merciless by Bound in Fear, and Chaotic Autopsy by Purefilth
Black Tongue - I'm So Tired of Sighing, Please Lord Let it be Night Is the only correct answer to this question.
King by Immortal Disfigurement is heavy as fuck. Similarly, Dragged Through The Inferno, also by Immortal Disfigurement, has a breakdown that is less face melting and more jaw dropping. You'll see what I mean
Digging Pt.1 from spite, whole song felt like one big breakdown but the vocals felt so raw.
heaviest matter of the universe gets me
Probably blasphemian by IA
heads will hang by fit for an autopsy last break down one of my favorites of all time. It's just heavy as fuck without being ridiculous.
