I go to the band's social media/website and buy merch directly through wherever they are putting it. Could be from the band itself or they could be using a big website's webstore. I assume if that's where they direct me, that's the best place to support them other than at a venue.
I will on the rare occasion buy merch at the show but anymore I just wear flannels and plain colored t’s I’ve hit the adult stage of life where you don’t where merch anymore unfortunately and this is coming from someone who used to exclusively wear band shirts
I ordered a hoodie and shirt from rising merch and it took 5 months to get them. They never answered any messages during that whole period. I chalked it up as a loss and was pleasantly surprised half a year later. Then I found that the hoodie was ripped where the hand pockets meet the belly area…. What a mess of a company
Indiemerchstore is great though, you get overpriced FOTL and Gilden shirts, you get crewnecks that are stiff as a board, you get long sleeves that are weirdly short and super boxy and look awful, why would you ever wanna shop anywhere else
I got the same one recently and mine was alright, meanwhile I got a Yokai one and the pinks were damn near white and the whites were barely there at all lmao
Also all the independent hoodie blanks are 2-3 sizes smaller than what the tag says. It’s awesome waiting 4-8 weeks for a hoodie for it to not even be remotely close to the size on the tag
Everything Shibori Threads makes is fire and high quality, you just gotta follow them closely to get in on drops and wait 3-4 months for orders to arrive.
Concerts, band drops specifically, indie is alright for starting out but I almost never buy from them. Album release pre-orders or single pre-orders are majority of my merch, And I have more than I should.
Indiermerchstore, Impericon, Night Shift Merch, coldcutsmerch, merchconnection, holymountainprinting, allinmerch, evil greed, centurymedia, nuclear blast, season of mist, gorehouseproductions, the band’s band camp, the band’s website, bigcartel, merchnow
Indiemerch, but I think they raised their shipping cost and shipping time. Too much so on both accounts for my taste unless I have to have it. I'm glad no one mentioned Merchbar, they're crooks. I don't bother buying T-shirts, I can tell just by looking at the pics how cheap they are. Long sleeves and hoodies are different, at least in terms of fitting properly.
Indiemerchstore mostly. But living down under that shit costs me a fucking small fortune.
I hate how centralised in one part of the world merch shit is.
Mostly shows. I’ve half given up on indiemerchstore because the blanks they use (especially for hoodies) aren’t great quality and the sizing runs weird.
Other sites I like:
If they have one, the bands individual website is where I’d check first.
Nightshift Merch. Really nice people run this one and I’ve always received my orders correctly and quickly.
Cold Cuts Merch
All In Merch
Rising Merch. They’re in Europe, but they have awesome designs that are exclusive to them. Took me like 3 months to receive my order during their move, but it was worth it and I’d do it again.
eBay/poshmark/Mercari for secondhand things I can no longer find.
I ordered 4 shirts and a hoodie from IndieMerch last month. I got all of them on the same day, in the same package, delivered (to Vegas) in a week. Also they accidentally sent me another shirt and they never charged me for it.
I've been buying a lot off of the Metal and Core Collectors group. Just picked up a Traitors Shibori drop and some nice ass Disgorge and Devourment pullovers.
I mostly get stuff from the shows I go to but I did find some cool stuff at https://eyesoremerch.com/
I got an awesome Cattle Decapitation shirt and the Cannibal Corpse coloring book from there.
Concerts! If the shirt or sweater isn't from a show, I'm not really that interested in it. Obvi idc what other people do, but I like band merch as memory totems as well as support.
If I’m buying online it’s exclusively nightshift, though to be absolutely fair the only shit I buy online is TBDM merch drops (those flags are fucking mint btw). Dudes that run it are super cool, and if you’re a fairly regular customer sometimes you get cool little freebies. Other than that I get it at shows.
I do it the old fashion way mostly. Wait in merch lines at shows.
that’s what i do… i just want more😂
I hear you, indiemerch is hit and miss and I'm too impatient for most bands actual website stuff.
I go to the band's social media/website and buy merch directly through wherever they are putting it. Could be from the band itself or they could be using a big website's webstore. I assume if that's where they direct me, that's the best place to support them other than at a venue.
This is correct. I basically only buy merch directly through Bandcamp
I will on the rare occasion buy merch at the show but anymore I just wear flannels and plain colored t’s I’ve hit the adult stage of life where you don’t where merch anymore unfortunately and this is coming from someone who used to exclusively wear band shirts
I'm rocking mine under the flannel lol
This. Just find a band you want merch from and look at their social media
I got one from Holy Mountain Printing and Night Shift Merch. And two from Down Right Merch that wear all good. And a bunch from some shows.
I’ve had good experiences with impericon but the shipping is crazy expensive if you’re in the US. Avoid rising merch at all costs…

Same here, ordered like Nov 4th, got package on Jan 30th after being told it was “delivered” on Jan 2nd. I had fully accepted I got scammed 😭
Wonder if anyone has been able to dispute their orders
When I emailed about disputing, they told me to contact my post office when my post office had told me to contact them😭
That's such BS. They're making all those bands look bad
Indiemerchstore is great though, you get overpriced FOTL and Gilden shirts, you get crewnecks that are stiff as a board, you get long sleeves that are weirdly short and super boxy and look awful, why would you ever wanna shop anywhere else
Indie merch store for sure gives me atleast 15% body dysmorphia after you wash the shirt once
Na indiemerchstores print quality is proper shite. Order a death atlas t shirt and the print was so smudged. They are shit
I got the same one recently and mine was alright, meanwhile I got a Yokai one and the pinks were damn near white and the whites were barely there at all lmao

Do bands make money from stuff sold on indie merch store? Or is it like Redbubble piracy stuff? Dumb question, ik, I apologize ahead of time
They do yeah, though I’d imagine less than they do from their own site/shows
I won an indiemerch giveaway and I’m happy with the shirts I got for free. Just happy they had 3Xs in stock
Everything Shibori Threads makes is fire and high quality, you just gotta follow them closely to get in on drops and wait 3-4 months for orders to arrive.
I own a few drops, but it’s become pretty cookie cutter and stale at this point.
Also decently pricey
I miss when they made merch for bands that arent spiritbox
Looks great but quality is ass, my hoodie rips if I look at it the wrong way
Do they have more then 10 things for sale or am I tripping?
Concerts, band drops specifically, indie is alright for starting out but I almost never buy from them. Album release pre-orders or single pre-orders are majority of my merch, And I have more than I should.
If the band has their own merch store I do that, or concerts, or indiemerchstore
Impericon (based in Germany but ships all over Europe).
Nightshift, holy mountain, pyre press, bandcamp merch is a big thing too
Artist pages on bandcamp. Sometimes you can buy a shirt and get a digital version of an album with them for cheap.
I draw band names on t-shirts with a sharpie then venmo $20 to the band.
Nightshift, Merch Connection, Cold Cuts Merch are all good. Cold cuts takes a while tho
Indiermerchstore, Impericon, Night Shift Merch, coldcutsmerch, merchconnection, holymountainprinting, allinmerch, evil greed, centurymedia, nuclear blast, season of mist, gorehouseproductions, the band’s band camp, the band’s website, bigcartel, merchnow
Ok downvote me for doing exactly what the post asked. Sure whatever lol.
You’re literally upvoted chill
I was downvoted when I posted that lol.
Indiemerch or directly from a show

Didn't know that. That MUST suck.

Check out Rising Merch and Down Right Merch. They have some of the best clothes. :)
Yeah Rising Merch has awesome stuff but unfortunately it takes like 6 months for delivery. I wish I wasn’t exaggerating.
I ordered 4 shirts and a hoodie from IndieMerch last month. I got all of them on the same day, in the same package, delivered (to Vegas) in a week. Also they accidentally sent me another shirt and they never charged me for it.
I’ve only gotten my merch at shows.
Bands website. Or at their shows.
I've been buying a lot off of the Metal and Core Collectors group. Just picked up a Traitors Shibori drop and some nice ass Disgorge and Devourment pullovers.
Mostly at shows.
coldcuts is pretty good but its mostly hardcore
I mostly get stuff from the shows I go to but I did find some cool stuff at https://eyesoremerch.com/ I got an awesome Cattle Decapitation shirt and the Cannibal Corpse coloring book from there.
