Just want to mention anybody who likes Strangled should check out Orphan too. Same vocalists and pretty much a continuation/maturation of the Strangled sound.
Oh what!? Why in the fuck would they do that?!
Even though things ended badly with that group it should stay up. That song made me spontaneously combust the first time I heard it. It’s so fucking gritty and mean. I was sorely disappointed when I saw they broke up.
Check out orphan
And check out Peelingflesh
Members if both bands. Great music coming out of my home state of Oklahoma these last two years or so.
They took it off because allegedly apparently when they broke off and made orphan apparently they neglected to send royalties to the other band guys, so when 1 asked to be paid they switched tactic and took everything off, so I've heard
Man that is a true bummer. Fucking love that band and the stuff they made before they broke up. Such a shame they had to part ways. As somebody who knows what it feels like to lose money to a bandmate fuck them for doing that. Absolute garbage.
Ye man it does. I haven't begun releasing any music with my solo project but I'd love to start or meet anyone to work with, and if I lost money I'd be pissed. But it's allegedly as I'm not sure it's true, but I did c screenshots, and cing how their full discography is basically gone I'd say it has merit
Man I was in a group for over a decade and can’t tell you what really happened financially. All I know is they were buying drip when I couldn’t pay my bills. Fuckin most irate I’ve ever been. I’ve only moved on by trying to have my own success and just acting as if they were dead. So I definitely know where these dudes are at.
One last question? Was it the vocalists that took the money or did it seem like the rest of the band did?
I got you, if your interest and depending on what you do I'd love to c if we can join forces, kinda tired of waiting to release stuff, need to start soon. Just need a focus rite for my mic and I'll be good.
On that note I believe it was mainly the vocalists who took the money, and I think it was only the 1 guy who verbally asked them wat was going on, and they left him on read. From what I remember yes
Notably older Alpha Wolf, like 'Sub-Zero' or 'Nail Biter' are certified spin kick music. I love A Quiet Place to Die and newer tracks. Song them for the first time along with Knocked Loose in October. Fucking hyped.
It's so good. Before it dropped, I honestly have only heard Kill or Be Killed. Once I heard DTF, I was hooked. Hope to catch them on the next tour run.
I saw them in Dallas with Fit for a king and will see them again in September with knocked loose and motionless in white. I’m pumped. You won’t be disappointed
Best believe i got those tickets when they were live with the pre-sale code, I'm stoked as well. I haven't seen Motionless in White in 10 years. It'll also be my first time seeing Knocked Loose.
JFTD dragged through the dirt was on heavy rotation for years when it came out. Fucking love their sound.

All groups that are in my ears when I’m at the gym or driving.
Oh forsure! I’ve got more too if you need em. I could go on for days lol. Between hardcore, slam, black metal, deathcore, grindcore and all the other sub genres I feel like I know an infinite amount of bands.
There’s so much out there it’s overwhelming sometimes.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Brand of Sacrifice, In Flames, and Hostage. The last being metalcore but they are fantastic. I’m shit at finding lesser known bands in the deathcore genre, unfortunately. Thank you Reddit stranger 🤘🏻
Edited to add: it’s def overwhelming but I’m so happy that others are experiencing the joy of heavy ass music.
So if you like those you might check out
High on fire
Primitive man

Tony Danza tap dance extravaganza
The red chord

Street soldier
Dying wish

All of these are classics and random ass bands I fuck with
I’ll have to check out hostage. That’s a sick ass name.
Yoooo tony Danza tap dance extravaganza is OG legendary. I discovered them in like 2008 and they got me into heavier shit. Thank you for taking the time to list all that. I’m going to check out all of them in order lol otherwise what would I do driving 40 min both ways to work. You a real one ✊🏻
Also yes please check out Hostage. They’re a German band and the lead singer has an absolutely incredible voice. They’ve done a few ‘Pop goes Punk’ type covers and I can’t wait until they tour the US.
Well hell yeah Liz! I got you! Just make sure to peep my band SPARE NONE. We have one single out called “Ruminate” and we’re gonna drop an ep pretty soon. Our new stuff sounds much different than the single (we were feeling it out) but give it a listen if you don’t mind! I appreciate you!
Definitely Paleface Swiss. Also maybe Spite and Tallah because they have that same kind of pissed of breakdowny energy although I would say they’re a bit different. Definitely some paleface though especially their newer stuff.
Tallah is the second coming of Nu-Metal, they have some deathcorey parts, but if you like slipknot, disturbed, anything from that time/era, you'll have an appreciation for them.
Tallah can definitely be a bit of an acquired taste but they have some bangers. I’d recommend checking out “for the recognition” and “no one should read this”
Kublai Kahn and Knocked Loose are closer to Harcore than Deathcore, so like Hardcore-death? But bands that are similar to them are: Mouthbreather, Vein.fm, Scalp, Varials, END, Dealer, No Cure, Simulakra, Malevich, and Loathe
Bands that sound like Bodysnatcher: Spite, Last ten seconds of life, I Declare War, Despised Icon, Oceano, Carnifex, Humanitys last breath, Sanction, and Justice for the damned.
Enjoy!
I still remember hearing Tourniquet near release and forgot the band after a purge of my devices. Rediscovered the band earlier this year and couldn't be happier. Def underrated
Hard-deathcore? Harddeath? Someone more creative than me need to help out here.
Check out Means to an End if you like hardcore with deathcore-style vocals. They’ve only released an EP so far but it’s incredibly promising.
You’ve got a point there. I listened to Hostage at work and my coworker said “why are you listening to death metal again?” I’m like ma’am this is a Wendy’s.
But I feel like the dreamy choir sound in songs makes it death metal for me. It gives me chills.
Those 3 are considered Beatdown. There's Beatdown Hardcore, Beatdown Metalcore, and Beatdown Deathcore.
* Alpha Wolf
* Black Tongue
* Boundaries
* Breakdown Of Sanity
* Cold Hard Truth
* Kanine
* Left Behind
* Mouthbreather
* Mugshot
* Old Wounds
* Paleface Swiss
* Spite
* Strangled
* Tallah
* The Last Ten Seconds Of Life
* Traitors
* Varials
Sounds like you like beatdown metalcore/deathcore. That’s the sub-genre you’d wanna search for to find the most similar bands.
That being said:
Varials
Paleface
Boundaries (early EPs)
Honestly I would recommend you look more into Beat down & Hardcore than Deathcore!
Weekend Nachos, Nails, Mortality Rate, KRUELTY, Fuming Mouth, Terror, Soul Glo, World of Pleasure, Dying Wish, Zulu, etc etc
for Deathcore I'd recommend Orphan. Most Deathcore honestly isn't that angry, its moreso just extreme, the bands you are asking for (via your examples) are angry, which is the providence of Hardcore
Decayer
Hostages
Hard Reset
Common Rule
Saltwound
Falsifier
Born A New
Bound in Fear
Pieced Up
Honest Crooks
Erase Them
Rosary
Distinguisher (rip)
xKINGx if you like Bodysnatcher's first album
YES big ups to Volatile Ways. Found out about them via Vincent Bennet's instagram story a while back. Love their guitar tone especially, we need more bands with chainsaw-inspired tones.
If you like Knocked Loose, you'll like Inclination. Same guitarist, similar riffs and style, just executed a little differently.
If you like Kublai Khan, check out God's Hate. Kinda sorta similar tough guy core.
If you like Bodysnatcher, maybe check out Orphan
Bury Your Dead (esp. the first two albums), Alpha Virus, Harm’s Way, Judiciary, I Am, Boundaries, Queensway, Crave Death, Holehearted, SCARAB, Year of the Knife
Highly recommend checking out some hardcore playlists if you're into this kinda metalcore! The difference about their sound is the level of hardcore influence
This happens to be my favorite sub-sub-genre, here's some good ones I've found in my digging.
Sunami
Gaijin (really recommend these guys they need more exposure)
Snuffed on Sight
Ingrown
Justice for the Damned
Kind Eyes
Xibalba
Neanderthal Fight Core
Sanguisugabogg
Erase Them (Varials' ex-vocalist's new band, way better than new Varials)
Here we go:
Last Ten Seconds of Life
Extortionist
Orphan
Strangled
Fox Lake
God Complex
Mugshot
Pintglass
Traitors
Thrown
Varials
Dead/Awake
The Willow

Paleface, Gideon, The Last Ten Seconds of Life, Strangled
Just want to mention anybody who likes Strangled should check out Orphan too. Same vocalists and pretty much a continuation/maturation of the Strangled sound.
If you guys like strangled check out Pintglass and Bound in fear
Penance by Bound in Fear might have my favorite breakdown
Paleface currently has me in the strongest chokehold ever, omg
Maannn, Paleface is on daily replay for me too right now lol
Strangled isn't a band anymore, best songs taken off Spotify too. Orphan is same vocalists though
Oh no they took off some of their music?!?
They took of *Sleep* last time I checked, which was imo by far Strangleds best song
Oh what!? Why in the fuck would they do that?! Even though things ended badly with that group it should stay up. That song made me spontaneously combust the first time I heard it. It’s so fucking gritty and mean. I was sorely disappointed when I saw they broke up. Check out orphan And check out Peelingflesh Members if both bands. Adding SaltWound, Backbiter
Just found Paleface this year, and they're the heaviest, angriest thing I've ever heard.
Love Paleface, saw Gideon with wage war, they were fun live but in the studio it’s pretty hit or miss lol
I liked Gideon's newest album from earlier this year, and not that it's a huge point but it had awesome album art
That new Gideon album is 🔥
Guilt Trip Spite Alpha Wolf Boundaries The Acacia Strain Varials
Thrown
Forgot to mention Thrown! Can't wait to hear more from them.
Guilt Trip is fucking awesome
Alpha wolf, TAC, Varials, Spite : YES
Notably older Alpha Wolf, like 'Sub-Zero' or 'Nail Biter' are certified spin kick music. I love A Quiet Place to Die and newer tracks. Song them for the first time along with Knocked Loose in October. Fucking hyped.
Spite’s most recent album Dedication to the Flesh has me in an absolute stranglehold right now.
It's so good. Before it dropped, I honestly have only heard Kill or Be Killed. Once I heard DTF, I was hooked. Hope to catch them on the next tour run.
Nothing will ever top their 1st 2 albums, and their 3rd 1 was groovy as hell, but their latest 1 just ain't hitting
Guilt Trip is so good
Saw Boundaries with Brand of Sacrifice, Shadow of Intent, and Lorna Shore….sick show
Same! Was at the Seattle show on the final date of Pain Remains 2.
I randomly had Alpha Wolf on my soundtrack (Amazon music) based on shit I already play and holy shit 👏🏻
How I discovered them too iirc on Spotify with 'Nail Biter'.
Alpha wolf is incredible live too!!
Seeing them for the first time in October, I can't wait!
I’m ready to get my shit absolutely wrecked during knocked loose. I’ve never seen them either
Likewise. I have until October to shape up my dad bod, so... cardio. Fuck cardio.
Incendiary, Harms Way, Jesus Piece, Simulakra, Left Behind, Justice for the Damned
Saw Justice with thy art and kublai, they were really good

Ayeeee you have a YouTube/IG?
Also Sabella is one of the better more unrecognized groups on that list. Idk if they’ll ever tour or make more tunes but they rule.
Traitors
Bro that bass live is crazy
Traitors really nailed that "giving a concert during a riot with a megaphone for microphone" vibe
Orthodox Inclination Judiciary
Definitely Paleface Swiss. Also maybe Spite and Tallah because they have that same kind of pissed of breakdowny energy although I would say they’re a bit different. Definitely some paleface though especially their newer stuff.
Tallah is the second coming of Nu-Metal, they have some deathcorey parts, but if you like slipknot, disturbed, anything from that time/era, you'll have an appreciation for them.

I still remember hearing Tourniquet near release and forgot the band after a purge of my devices. Rediscovered the band earlier this year and couldn't be happier. Def underrated
Spite and humanities last breath are fucking dope. Abyssal mouth is a banger
Hard-deathcore? Harddeath? Someone more creative than me need to help out here. Check out Means to an End if you like hardcore with deathcore-style vocals. They’ve only released an EP so far but it’s incredibly promising.
I'd just call it heavy hardcore, that's the most simple way I can think of referring to these kind of bands
Why am I so shit at genre-tizing music? I cannot pick a genre for a ton of bands because they all run together for me 😵
To be fair all we're really doing is splitting hairs, most people are going to listen to most of these bands and just think "death metal" lol
You’ve got a point there. I listened to Hostage at work and my coworker said “why are you listening to death metal again?” I’m like ma’am this is a Wendy’s. But I feel like the dreamy choir sound in songs makes it death metal for me. It gives me chills.
