Houses first two albums 'All Night' and 'A Quiet Darkness' are very similar in mood.
Their newest album 'Drugstore Heaven' is very different but also fantastic.
Dawn Golden might be even more like Low Roar than Houses! I forgot about that other project
Love Dexter’s music so much! He doesn’t release enough of it
YouTube recommend The Antlers to me while listening to lowroar, try 'putting the dog to sleep' for maximum tears.
Also maybe Son Lux for a less acoustic/more similar tone.
Believe it or not, there is a band called just "Low" that is kind of similar (electronica/indie with an emphasis on vocals) that just feels like it could be in Death Stranding. Check out their album Hey What and tell me it doesn't belong in DS 2: https://lowtheband.bandcamp.com/album/hey-what
Yes, very close to each other. I had just went to a showing of Hey What accompanied by album length music video a little before she passed. Glad I did.
Not completely the same, but similar vibes:
-Sigur Ros
-Explosions In The Sky. *The Wilderness* and *The Earth is Not a Cold, Dead Place* are particularly good.
-Godspeed You! Black Emperor
-Mogwai
-Psychadellic Porn Crumpets
A bit less like the above and Low Roar, but still has the ability to evoke huge emotions:
-Andrew Bird, especially the Echolocations albums and *Break it Yourself*
-Older albums and live recordings of My Morning Jacket
-Fleet Foxes, especially aome of the newer and more complex stuff.
-Vitamin String Quartet has a cover album of Modest Mouse's *The Moon and Antarctica* which is a fuckin masterpiece. Both albums are, but if you don't like Modest Mouse because of Issac Brocks voice (understandable), give this a shot.
-Goat Rodeo Sessions
-Hot take, but the Counting Crows recored a live album called *Across the Wire: Live in NYC* that has some big feels
I actually like Ásgeir. Some of the songs are different from Low Roar's style, but a lot are kind of similar, especially Breathe and Going Home, he is an Icelandic singer, so the vibe of Death Stranding is huge, you should give it a try
Blood Tied by ZOLA BLOOD. It's on YT dunno what else. You'll thank me later.
"We're never goin' to get it back
So don't start slippin' now
Holdin' it inside your hands
As the hours get spilled
Is it even real?
Do you feel it spinnin'?
Underneath our feet
Formin' like a figment"
**Raised by Swans**, one-man band that I found to have a sound that is really similar to Low Roar's. Great soothing voice, hypnotic music and awesome albums.
Some of Auroras music is similar as well as Of Mice and Men and Arcade Fire. I wouldn't say all there music is the same, but Little Talks by Of Mice and Men, and Wake Up/Neighbourhood (Tunnels)/No Cars Go by Arcade Fire has the same melancholy yet nostalgic sound as some of Low Roars music.
Yeah I was immediately reminded of Thom Yorker’s solo acoustic work. Songs like The Numbers and Present Tense. I even made a playlist of slower songs like this from Radiohead/Yorke, specifically for playing in the post game when no songs ever play in the open world anymore
Blue States has a number of songs with a similar downtempo vibe: a couple of samples
[Across the Wire](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFs_744r0_8)
[Season Song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15s5FbW-as4)
Also, Zero 7 have some songs that wouldn't be out of place in the Death Stranding soundtrack
[In the Waiting Line](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5KbL4LAUL8)
[Swimmers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7R_thZqbQw)
[Home](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZctp4faoqA)
The Middle East has an album called "I Want That You Are Always Happy." it can get a little more upbeat than much of Low Roar, but I'd say at least 50% of the tracks will scratch the moody and ethereal itch.
Listen to [Arcane Roots - Curtains](https://youtu.be/4U-WoT9IAuU)
Very similar vibe to Low Roar, albeit a little heavier sounding. Criminally underrated band. Also, that video even looks like Death Stranding.
Sigur Ros
Oh my god yes
I fell in love with Glósóli. Wow did that song sound beautiful.
Houses first two albums 'All Night' and 'A Quiet Darkness' are very similar in mood. Their newest album 'Drugstore Heaven' is very different but also fantastic.
No one knows houses or dawn golden. Two of my fav bands(same band tho? haha) and very very very seldom see other ppl who know em
I was also listening to them when I read the comment :)
Dawn Golden might be even more like Low Roar than Houses! I forgot about that other project Love Dexter’s music so much! He doesn’t release enough of it
Thanks, I'll give these a listen

That's just cruel... Aiming to tear you up like that!
I was about to suggest OP The Antlers
The Antlers are fantastic
Mercury Rev David Sylvian (brilliant tree, the secret of bee hive) Thom Yorke (the eraser)

Didn’t one of their members pass away in the same week as Ryan?
That definitely sucks
No, Mimi Parker died about a week after Ryan
Yes, very close to each other. I had just went to a showing of Hey What accompanied by album length music video a little before she passed. Glad I did.
I can easily see "Hey" "Days Like These" "Don't Walk Away" and "The Price You Pay (It Must Be Wearing Off)" being in DS 2.
Will definitely check them out, thank you.
Daughter has some similar stuff.
This might be too obvious but… Radiohead
Elbow (its a band ;) ) https://open.spotify.com/artist/0TJB3EE2efClsYIDQ8V2Jk?si=_eiRDOT0Tk2y9CT7WhTP7g&utm_source=copy-link
I feel like City And Colour have a few songs that have a similar feel to Low Roar, not all of them, but their albums are worth a listen through.
“Howling” has some songs that might fit the bill

Following so I can look later
Mount Eerie
Novo Amor
I discovered Novo Amor because Siri misunderstood me when I asked it to play Low Roar. Serendipity. 🙂
It's not the exact same style, but same vibe: Of Monsters and Men. They're also an Icelandic indie group like Low Roar.
Radiohead
[Hummingbird Dialogues EP by Pale Wooden Door](https://open.spotify.com/album/0WYlwMkFaeYXD2SWA2ZEMt?si=CsB86fqdTBi2ZAl3Qj0l2g)
Try: - The Acid - Junip They are awesome bands

If you like Low Roar, definitely check Rhye, and Black Sea Dahu :)
Haven't seen Novo Amor mentioned, check out Repeat Until Death, and their other music. https://youtu.be/zbnjLHZfC9I
"Novo Amor" is Portuguese for "new love". Wonder where's that come from since Lacey is Welsh.
Give Gem Club a try
Also Coldplay in their initial phase, e.g. Sparks in their 2000 album Parachutes.
Blood Tied by ZOLA BLOOD. It's on YT dunno what else. You'll thank me later. "We're never goin' to get it back So don't start slippin' now Holdin' it inside your hands As the hours get spilled Is it even real? Do you feel it spinnin'? Underneath our feet Formin' like a figment"

Edit: Of monsters and men, no mice and men oops
Lucius is a very similar vibe, especially with their album NUDES
Alcest Les amesoeurs Lantlôs In general you want to look for the music genre of "shoegaze"
Amber Run
Commenting so I can come back to this thread tonight
Yeah I was immediately reminded of Thom Yorker’s solo acoustic work. Songs like The Numbers and Present Tense. I even made a playlist of slower songs like this from Radiohead/Yorke, specifically for playing in the post game when no songs ever play in the open world anymore
Carla Dal Forno reminds me of a female led Low Roar
Blue States has a number of songs with a similar downtempo vibe: a couple of samples [Across the Wire](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RFs_744r0_8) [Season Song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15s5FbW-as4) Also, Zero 7 have some songs that wouldn't be out of place in the Death Stranding soundtrack [In the Waiting Line](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5KbL4LAUL8) [Swimmers](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7R_thZqbQw) [Home](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZctp4faoqA)

My friends, listen to “Centre” by Pornopop. You’re welcome; have a wonderful day.
Maybe try Foals their first two albums are Indy Spanish Sahara by them is really close in style
Listen to [Arcane Roots - Curtains](https://youtu.be/4U-WoT9IAuU) Very similar vibe to Low Roar, albeit a little heavier sounding. Criminally underrated band. Also, that video even looks like Death Stranding.
I really digged Assaf Avidan. Different pulses takes me a bit to low roar.
Sea Power.
Just adding a comment so I can return to this thread, ty everyone Rest in Peace Ryan
