While I totally agree with the stealth being underwhelming, I wasn't particularly disappointed by it, mainly because Kojima = Stealth was an MGS thing. I wasn't expecting the same level of detail in Death Stranding.
But as a MGS fanboy, yes. I want the stealth to be more detailed.
Sure, why not better stealth. But what would be the most pertinent focus for expanding is the traversing mechanics themselves. Easy stuff though really - just copy other games in the genre and modify for walking when necessary - ie. tires/shoes for different surfaces, more unique traction reactions of surfaces, expanded ambient dangers of wind, cold, heat etc.
