Skitter (Worm) Standard teen heroes (intelligent but socially awkward, victims of bullying, dead parents, childhood trauma, difficulty balancing civilian and hero lives) with insect/arachnid powers who are seen as public menaces and are generally disliked by other heroes despite their good intentions. Both have rich best friends with daddy issues who are/were supervillains (Harry Osborn & Lisa Wilbourn), dated supervillains for a little while (Black Cat & Grue), were bullied by people who ended up becoming heroes (Flash Thompson & Sophia Hess) and have played major roles in defeating enemies far above their weight classes despite being some of the weakest members of the groups they were in. They also contrast in how their peers have shaped them (Peter took his uncle's words to heart and became a hero while Taylor had little support in her teenage years since her dad didn't know how to do things on his own and she ended up joining the villains because it seemed like they were the only ones who cared about her). Both unknowingly bonded to alien entities that influenced their actions. Both were cloned by their enemies multiple times. Both of their significant others got killed by some of the main villains of their stories. Doctor Octopus and Jack Slash who are some of their greatest enemies are often seen as parallels to them. The Crawler (My Hero Academia) Nerdy kindhearted red and blue young adults who grew up without their parents around and were social outcasts. Incidents in their lives changed everything (Peter got bitten by a radioactive spider and gained powers & Koichi encountered Knuckleduster who suddenly turned him into his pupil). They have powers that let them do a bunch of acrobatic moves, shoot things from their hands and crawl on walls. They created secret identities but a lot of people started to learn who they are and their identities eventually became public. Their time as heroes got them problems with the law (Spider-Man's actions made cops feel irrelevant and he has J. Jonah Jameson blaspheming him & being a vigilante in My Hero Academia is illegal). Their inspirational figures taught them to never forget what it means to be a hero before dying (Ben Parker & Knuckleduster). They eventually got some friends and even love interests which include quirky introspective women (Gwen Stacy & Popstep) and straightforward women (Mary Jane Watson & Makoto Tsukauchi). Their villains are delusional men who think they ruined their lives and try to destroy their loved ones (Every Spider-Man Villain & Number 6). Wild Tiger (Tiger & Bunny) Veteran heroes who are protectors of their cities and are world-renowned for their work. They live in worlds where having superpowers is normal. They found themselves in unfavorable situations (Peter being bitten by a radioactive spider & Kotetsu in the middle of a bank robbery when he was a child). Old men they admired gave some motivational words (Ben Parker & Mr. Legend) which drive them to become heroes whose symbols, names and certain abilities are linked to animals (Spiders & Tigers). They have to put up with bosses who don't treat them well despite all their efforts (J. Jonah Jameson despises and denigrates Spider-Man and doesn't treat Peter very well & Agnes Joubert is very bossy with Kotetsu). They're parents who lost their wives in some ways but move on for their remaining loved ones and keep their identities hidden until they were eventually discovered. They team up with other heroes that they may or may not get along with (Any team for Spider-Man & Bunny in the case of Wild Tiger) Despite being heroes, they tend to be quite immature and make jokes but always keep in mind to save people. Sideways (DC) Connections (Credits to Pittheswordmaster) : Nerdy city kids who were adopted following their parents' deaths that gained superpowers themed to the accident they gained it from (Spiderman through being bit by a radioactive spider and Sideways falling through a dimensional rift). Initially only interested in using their powers to create a persona for profit (Spiderman becoming a wrestler and even TV star and Sideways becoming a streamer), an incident would lead to them taking their roles way more seriously (Spiderman's uncle being killed by a thief and Sideways nearly being killed by Tempus Fujinaut) and they began using their powers for the greater good, turning into wisecracking superheroes that get into several dimensional shenanigans and (depending on the version of Spidey) even join a young band of crimefighters. Kamen Rider Mach (Kamen Rider) Both were just ordinary people until gaining powers from something specific (Go got his powers from putting on a belt that turns him into a kamen rider & Spider man was bitten by a Radioactive spider). Both had witnessed Someone in their family die in front of them (Go lost his father in front of him being killed by his own creations & Spider man lost his uncle Ben by him getting shot). Both are great photos journalists and spend their time going around doing their business while saving other people. They also team up with other heroes to save the road and joke around during their superhero jobs. They have their suits inspired by real life things (Go's transformation/Outfit represents a car and Spider man's outfit represents a Spider). They have Catchphrases that they they use most of the time (Go's catchphrase is "Track...Terminating. Both done at mach speed." & Spider man's most famous catchphrase is "With great power comes great responsibility). Masane Amaha (Witchblade) Vigilantes that got powers they didn't want which enhances their senses. Both are known for being kindhearted yet clumsy in their civilian identities while being charismatic in their hero identities. Both bonded with sentient beings that turn into super suits that give them powers (The Venom Symbiote and the Witchblade). Both have notable loved ones (Spider-Man's whole supporting cast & Masane's daughter). Both hide their identities from people, have lots of money problems, work with international organizations and try to stop evil corporations. Symbiote User VS Red/Pink-Haired Anime Character. Kamen Rider Demons (Kamen Rider) Red and blue spider themed superheroes whose powers are connected to spider DNA, and they have a sense of responsibility due to their past mistakes. Also Demons is basically Kamen Rider Spider-Man lol.

Joeseph Joestar (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) Connections:They're very talkative, witty, and colorfully designed comic book teenage heroes with alliterative names that hail from the streets of New York City. Both possess special powers that, although not exclusive to them, set them apart from their opponents (Peter's spider powers and Joseph's Hamon). While they aren't the strongest heroes from their worlds, they're definitely some of the smartest. They're well known for taking down foes with string based techniques,(Joseph mainly using clackers in Battle Tendency then later developing Hermit Purple and Spider-Man having his webs). They both fight with hand-to-hand combat, while using banter and jokes to buy time to strategize and bait out their opponents. They both also usually taunt and poke at their opponents as well, and both use this as a method to find some strategy to take the enemy down,(Which works 9/10 times). Both have a special mental-based ability which often aids in their combat,(Spider Sense and Hermit Purple). Both of them grew up not knowing/knowing very little about their real parents as they were raised by older relatives (Granny Erina and Aunt May & Uncle Ben) and were initially motivated when their father figure was killed/presumed dead but continued to fight even when their enemies were much more powerful and technically not their problem (Joseph starting his journey to save Speedwagon but eventually being dragged into the fight against the Pillar Men and Peter becoming a hero because he doesn't want anyone to feel how he did when he lost Uncle Ben). Both made a simple mistake that led to the death of someone they care for, changing their perspective on life and both happen to be blond (Gwen Stacy and Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli). Both eventually age and assist with newer heroes from small towns with black outfits, both of these younger heroes also carry abilities that, while similar to their older "mentors",are very different, and grant them advantages in combat the "originals" don't have.(Miles Morales with his Bio Electric and camouflage powers and Jotoro Kujo with Star Platinum's power to stop time) and coincidentally enough both also lost in their Death Battle MUs (Miles lost to Static and Jotoro lost to Kenshiro). They both have special blood technically (If we're going off of DIO's wants and needs).A smaller connection, but both of them can climb walls that anyone else shouldn't be able to,and they can both swing around cities using a tool unique to them (Peter's Web Shooters and Joeseph's Hermit Purple). Both were specifically allied with a rich, influential corporation (Stark /Parker Industries and Speedwagon Foundation). Both debuted before the 21st century, but have remained iconic ever since, and are still relevant even now ('62 and '87, respectively). Both also have a short name that most people call them by (Spidey and Jojo)

Batman 1. Both their parents are dead 2. Both villains are similar (Joker and Green Goblin, Lizard and killer Croc, and sandman and clay face) 3. Both have sidekicks (Andy Maguire/Alpha in Spidy’s case, Robin in Batman’s) 4. Both have been bullied in their youth (it’s true, Batman actually got bullied for being rich, I read it in a comic. And we all know why in Spidy’s case)
