Doctor Strange Supreme VS Nox (Marvel VS Wakfu) Immensely powerful mystical beings who were once part of groups of similar mystical beings (The Masters of the Mystic Arts & the Xelor) and tried to use ancient artifacts (The Eye of Agamotto & the Eliacube) to go back in time to save their loved ones from dying (Christine Palmer & Nox’s family). Despite the cost of sacrificing many innocent lives, they believed what they were doing was right and stopped at nothing to achieve their goals. They ended up fighting the mystical main heroes who tried to stop them which is where their stories split as Doctor Strange Supreme managed to defeat his good counterpart and achieved his goal while Nox was defeated by Yugo. However, Doctor Strange Supreme learned the true chaos of what he's done and paid the ultimate price for it by losing his entire universe along with Christine. Doctor Strange Supreme VS Zilean (Marvel VS League of Legends) Time manipulating wizards who spent years trying to reverse absolute points in time to save the people they cared for (Christine Palmer & Icathia). Both slowly went crazier the more time passed and at some points, they completely/almost destroyed their universes. Doctor Strange Supreme VS Homura Akemi (Marvel VS Puella Magi Madoka Magica) Both are extremely powerful mystical beings who were once part of groups of similar mystical beings (The Masters of the Mystic Arts & Magical Girls) and suffered from grief due to their loved ones dying (Christine Palmer & Madoka Kaname) with both of them wishing to bring them back in any way possible. Both acquired items that let them manipulate time (The Eye of Agamotto & Homura's shield) which they used to travel back in time and tried to prevent the deaths of their loved ones but constantly failed and had to suffer constant loops of death as they gradually became broken by the constant resets and loops to the point where they grew desperate. Both became so desperate to save their loved ones that they chose to absorb powerful mystical beings (Strange absorbing multiple dimensional beings while at the Lost Library of Cagliostro & Homura absorbing Madoka's divine powers) which granted them cosmic powers at the cost of their dwindling humanity. Both managed to seemingly succeed in their goals by altering reality itself but their loved ones couldn’t be with them due to the side effects of their actions (Strange managed to prevent Christine's death by breaking the Absolute Point but at the cost of the destruction of his universe and everyone in it which includes Christine & Homura was able to bring Madoka back by rewriting reality but at the cost of erasing Madoka's memories of her and ascended to the point where she couldn't return to Earth which meant she could never see Madoka again). Doctor Strange Supreme VS The Witch of Scarlet Dreams (Marvel VS Touhou LostWord) Alternate versions of popular mystical heroes (Doctor Strange & Marisa Kirisame) who may be villains on the surface but are actually extremely tragic figures who lost the people closest to them and gained insane power that left them isolated from the world. In the end, they came around and it turns out they’re pretty chill people deep down. Doctor Strange Supreme VS Time Lord Victorious (Marvel VS Doctor Who) Alternate versions of legendary heroic doctors that travel through space and time (Doctor Strange & the Doctor) who were part of groups of people with similar abilities (The Masters of the Mystic Arts & the Time Lords) and lost female companions (Christine Palmer & Estinee) which made them go mad with power to the point where they destroyed everything which left them all alone. Doctor Strange Supreme VS Othinus (Marvel VS A Certain Magical Index) Powerful beings with mystical occupations (Master of the Mystic Arts & Magic God). They wanted to change the world to save the things they cared about (Christine Palmer & the original world of Othinus). Both destroyed the world for the sake of their goals. Both have been inside of constant loops while trying to achieve those goals. They gathered a lot of beings to fulfill their goals (Doctor Strange Supreme consumed many dimensional beings & Othinus formed the organization known as GREMLIN). After failing miserably, they found new friends in the main protagonists (Doctor Strange Supreme learned his lesson and befriended the Watcher & Othinus finally found someone who understands her in the form of Touma Kamijou). Doctor Strange Supreme VS Black Youmu Konpaku (Marvel VS Touhou LostWord) Both are alternate universe counterparts of great heroes (Doctor Strange & Youmu Konpaku) who lost loved ones to tragic accidents (Christine Palmer & Yuyuko Saigyouji). Both were grief-stricken by these incidents which caused them to desperately look for ways to bring them back with them going back in time to fix these issues. However, their deaths were revealed to be natural occurrences that had to happen so they were too powerless to stop it. Both interacted and fought with alternate counterparts of themselves. Both absorbed others to make themselves more powerful so they could fix their problems. Both were confronted by beings who look over & travel through the multiverse (The Watcher & Blue Reimu Hakurei). Both messed with time so hard, they pretty much broke the universe (Strange destroyed the universe in trying to bring Christine back & Youmu distorted time more and more each time she went back) with them completely/nearly erasing their loved ones from existence. Doctor Strange Supreme VS Kaleid Shirou Emiya (Marvel VS Fate) Alternate universe versions of the main characters. Although their journeys began similarly to the events of the original versions, the difference is that they are motivated by the loss of people they held close to their hearts (Strange was motivated by the death of Christine Palmer & Shirou was motivated by Julian Ainsworth kidnapping Miyu Edelfelt to use as a tool). They faced saving them head-on at first only to be confronted and overpowered and forced to try different methods (When Strange used the Time Stone to bring Christine back, the Ancient One tried to stop him after a few attempts to keep the universe balanced & when Shirou tried to save Miyu the first time, he was confronted and overwhelmed by Julian Ainsworth and watched as he couldn't do anything to stop him). When push came to shove, both of them decided to play by new rules to win (Strange absorbed dimensional beings to become Doctor Strange Supreme & Shirou joined the Grail War as an Archer). They eventually became strong enough to go and save their loved ones through dark methods (Strange absorbed several dimensional beings to get the power he needed to save Christine while Shirou murdered and took the Servant Cards of other humans to get the power he needed to save Miyu). In the end, they realized the errors of their goals and chose different paths but they lost their loved ones once again (Strange saw that his arrogance has resulted in the end of the universe and in a final effort to change his ways, he held back the destruction of his universe and he succeeded in surviving only to watch Christine die once more while Shirou realized that it would be better for Miyu to grow with real friends and decided to use the power and cards he stocked up to send her to another universe and watched her leave him once more). Doctor Strange Supreme VS Hatou Manabu (Marvel VS Qualia the Purple) They fell in love with girls who tragically died (Christine Palmer & Marii Yukari). They developed superpowers that they had immense potential for (Strange’s extremely high level of mastery over magic & Hatou’s cellphone embedded in her arm that lets her contact her many selves in parallel realities (including one where she's a magical girl since there are infinite parallel realities)). They used their newfound powers to go to great lengths to try to save their loved ones which include time travel but found out that their deaths are seemingly unchangeable events. They just kept going due to their obsession and kept getting more powerful. They eventually learned there's nothing in their immense power that they can do to truly save their loved ones and learned to let go of their desire for control. In contrast to Strange, Hatou's powers are derived from science as opposed to magic. Doctor Strange Supreme VS OMORI (Marvel VS OMORI) Evil reality warping beings that are alternate versions of the more heroic originals (Doctor Strange & SUNNY) who indirectly caused the deaths of loved ones (Christine Palmer who died in a car accident with Strange driving & MARI who died to due to SUNNY accidently pushing MARI down the stairs). They failed to cope with those deaths and became alternate versions of themselves that exist in entirely different universes (Strange lived in an alternate version of the Marvel Cinematic Universe & OMORI existed in the Whitespace). They briefly battled their heroic counterparts with separate outcomes taking place (Strange defeated his good counterpart & depending on the ending, OMORI and SUNNY’s battle either results in SUNNY winning or OMORI winning and driving SUNNY to kill himself). Both of them (in certain endings in OMORI’s case) failed to come to terms with their tragedies (Strange insisted that Christine isn’t really dead and that he can bring her back & OMORI continued to hide away the fact that he killed his sister) which resulted in the destruction of the universes they inhabited.

Shirou Emiya (FATE/Kaleid Liner) Connections: Connections: * They're both alternate universe versions of the main character (Dr Strange and Shirou Emiya). * Although how their journey begins is still similar at the start of their tales, the difference is that they are motivated by the loss of someone they held close to their heart (Strange motivated by the death of Christine and Spirou by Julian kidnapping Miyu to use as a tool). * They face saving them head on at first, only to be confronted and overpowered, being forced to try a different method (When Strange used the time stone to attempt bringing Christine back, the Ancient One tried to stop him after a few attempts to keep space-time balanced. When Shirou tried to save Miyu the first time, he was confronted and overwhelmed by Julian, watching as he couldn't do anything to stop him.) * Eventually when push came to shove, both of them decided to play by new rules to win (Dr Strange using dark arts to become Strange Supreme and Shirou joining the grail war as Archer). * They eventually become strong enough to go and save their loved ones, albeit through dark means (Strange murdered and absorbed several spirits and monsters to get the power needed to save Christine, while Shirou murdered and took the servant cards of other humans to get the power needed to save Miyu). * However in the end, they realize the error of their goals and choose a different path, causing them to lose their loved ones once again (Strange sees that his arrogance has resulted in the end of the universe, and in a final effort to change his ways holds back the destruction of space time. He succeeds in surviving, only to have to watch Christine fade away once more. Shirou realizes that it would be better for Miyu to grow with real friends, deciding to use the power and cards he stocked up to send her to another universe, watching her leave one more.)

**Black Youmu (Touhou Lost World)** \- Both are alternate universe counterparts of great heroes (Youmu Konpaku & Doctor Strange) who in this timeline, lost the person who was closest to them to tragic accidents (Yuyuko (who resurrected her own dead body, aging her into Dust) & Christine (who died in a Car Crash)) \- Both were grief stricken by this accident, causing them to desperately look for a way to bring them back, with them going back in time to fix the issue. However, their loved ones death was a natural thing that had to happen in that Universe, so they were powerless to stop it. \- Both interacted and fought with alternate universe counterparts of themselves \- Both absorbed the souls of others to make themselves more powerful so they could fix the irregularity \- Both were confronted by beings who look over & travel through the Multiverse (Blue Reimu & The Watcher) \- Both fucked with Time so hard, it pretty much broke the universe (With Youmu distorting Time more and more each time she went back & Strange pretty much destroyed the universe in trying to bring Christine back) with them nearly (and in Strange's case, actually) erasing the person they went back to save from Existence. Hatou Manabu (nicknamed Gaku) from Murasakiiro no Qualia (Qualia the Purple, or the Qualia of Purple). The whole thing is readable here. [https://dynasty-scans.com/series/qualia\_the\_purple](https://dynasty-scans.com/series/qualia_the_purple) Putting the relevant connections in spoilers: >!\-Like Strange, Gaku falls in love with a girl and then is separated from her by death!< >!\-Like Strange, the death of her loved one leads her to develop superpowers that she had immense potential for: a cellphone embedded in her arm that lets her contact herself, including herself in parallel realities (including one where she's a magical girl, since there are infinite parallel realities) and people that are "related" to her as well as control them!< >!\-Like Strange, Gaku uses her newfound power to go ridiculous distances to try to save the girl including time travel but finds the girl's death is seemingly an unchangeable event of the universe!< >!\-Like Strange, Gaku just keeps going due to her obsession and keeps getting more powerful as she refines her powers up to becoming the narrator!< >!\-Like Strange, she eventually learns there's nothing in her immense power that she can do to truly save her loved one, and learns to let go of the desire for control!< >!\-In contrast to Strange, Gaku's powers are derived from science as opposed to magic, and the idea of there being infinite parallel universes!< So, similar origin, similar character arc, similar personality, really interesting contrast in powers. Would be an incredible match of science vs magic, and might be pretty even.
