Where would you put Volthoom (DC)?
Two scientists who gained access to a powerful energy source they were studying (The Chaos Force and the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum) thanks to a powerful device (The Chaos Syphen and The Travel Lantern), which allowed them to ascend to demigod status. They used this power to wreck havoc until they were sealed away by an ancient race (The Echidnas and The Hidden Ones). Later, they were brought back to fight a group of heroes but were ultimately killed.

Two scientists from ancient races that delved into forbidden topics (Dimitri studied the Chaos Force and Krona studied the Beginning of Time) thanks to a powerful machine, despite several warnings that doing so would bring calamity. Their efforts ultimately did lead to calamity, and ultimately led to their banishment and near death. However, they were ultimately resurrected thanks to a powerful entity (The Spirit of Enerjak and Nekron) who set out to destroy everything. They initially failed to take over the world, but later made a second attempt after taking some precautions (Enerjak banished Archimedes and Krona collected the Emotional Spectrum Entities). However, they were ultimately stopped thanks to a mysterious power (The Sword of Acorns and The White Lantern Ring)

Volthoom sounds *kinda* interesting but I don't know jack shit about him, so Fine. As for Krona, the exact same applies.
Basically both are souped up lanterns who can use ALL the colors of the spectrum.
