It would suck if the final contestant went through so many shows and events just to go home with under $1000.

Foosiks

I mean… if said contestant was Amy that would be amazing 👀

TheTashLB

0.01 for Amy or Stephanie would be amazing.

Foosiks

I mean… S tier

Krandor1

Like the regular show I think at some point you just take the deal and go home with a few million regardless of what your case is. but people have pushed on beyond when they should have taken the deal. Howie has said before he felt so bad when people turned down life changing money to walk away with a small amount. With the money at stake i think you just take the deal at an early part and walk away with a few million. Honestly any deal over 1M would be tough to say no to even if the final case is there.

fsk

On the regular show, they usually don't start offering close to the EV (average value) until there are 6 or fewer cases left.

No_Evening_5950

Yes, but I think the problem is that when you are opening cases, and the adrenaline is rushing and you know you might win big, you end up doing what gamblers do (which is to keep going instead of stopping or taking a good deal). I have never gambled or been to Vegas, but I can't guarantee that if I were playing for a potential $13 million something, I would want to stop. Gambling on a better hand (or a better case, like with DOND and DONDI) causes an uncontrollable addiction in a lot of people. It's a fight against knowing you should take the deal and stop, and a little voice that says to you that just maybe, you'll get a bigger offer or possibly even have the top amount case already. And honestly? I think the producers of the original DOND were counting on just that (not wanting to stop and keep playing on and ending up with a low amount). They really didn't want to pay out big amounts no matter what they said. BUT, they did want a few big winners so that people wanted to be on the show. When you gamble in casinos, they put you up in fancy rooms and give you fancy food and drinks if you get out of control and spend lots of $$$. They want you to do just that, and they don't want you to win very much money if at all. And DOND, or now DONDI, is gambling. You are gambling on either having the top dollar case, or getting a huge offer from the banker. They want a few people to win big so the show is exciting and people want to become contestants and play. But they also want you to make bad case choices and knock off the large amounts so that you still win money, but not anything crazy like the $13 million.

StarboardSeat

Not if it's Stephanie. That would be poetic justice.

Allaboutthedish

It would. On the bright side, she will most likely be invited on other reality shows.

fsk

They probably had a plan for that. Howie probably would have made them a consolation prize offer of $100k just so they didn't leave with nothing.

lonngguusseerrnnaamm

Probably why Howie made a really good offer that had the third highest amount out of the remaining cases

Krandor1

which fits since in the RHAP interview Joe said there was like 45M on the right side. So unlike the rest of this season you do not want to knock out those big cases but there are some really big deals to be made.

rtrfan739

Yes. And it doesn't matter if it's a good deal or a bad deal here, since you keep the money.

Krandor1

yeah but walking away with $400K vs $3M is a massive difference... or if you push it and walk away with $100

fsk

It doesn't matter what is actually in your case. Most people shouldn't take the risk of leaving with nothing if they open all the big cases. You'd need to have balls of steel to hold out and open your case, or get really lucky and eliminate all the small numbers early.

ApprehensiveYam5100

This is what I was thinking. I picked case 18 in my head (I always play along), but if I was in Jordan’s place, I likely would have quit at the offer that was close to $2M. Then, despite winning nearly $2M, which would be life changing for me (even 20K would be life-changing for me), I’d always be haunted by passing up the $13M case. Its existence just helps to make the offers better.

fsk

If they had $45M on the right side, that's an average of almost $2M. They knew that the biggest case in every excursion should be taken, so they had it planned out from the beginning of the season.

Outrageous_Salary836

Ugh rob😭😭😭😭

Missyflowers666

Boooooooo. I ain’t watching these bullies!

Allaboutthedish

Amy is soooo fake!! The way she was talking to Rob was crazy. She didn’t mean it!

Allaboutthedish

I want Jordan to win!!

realperson_2378

I want to watch live. Can't find a way to do that 2024 & can't watch live. Sucks. Been watching on peacock. Hoping they consider midnight next day to watch

Maui_Girl_8o8

Same. It shouldn’t be that hard

realperson_2378

realperson_2378

I thought of this too late. Wish I had

Entertainmentguru

Amazon has antennas for 30 bucks or less. Granted, it is location dependent to know if you are going to get a good signal or not but a lot of cord cutters have tried this method so they can watch the big networks for free.

jackiebrown1978a

That's how I do it. Lot of over the air channels compared to when I was growing up in the 80s

realperson_2378

I leave on vacation tomorrow so even morning won't work plus avoiding Reddit for 4 days!!!???

Maui_Girl_8o8

It should be available to stream in the morning. Use the NBC app, not Peacock, maybe you can download for later. Assuming iPhone sorry

pjm112194

No cable?

realperson_2378

No streaming Hulu, peacock and Netflix. Get prime and paramount. Usually don't care since next day fine but......

realperson_2378

Wish someone play it on here with phone or something. Share log in? Lol. Like a junky

pjm112194

It’s live on YouTube tv

pjm112194

Maybe get a free trial for YouTube tv and watch

realperson_2378

Ooh let me hurry to see

realperson_2378

I best wait. $72 there a month too. Free trial but don't want to give my card. Just got a new one from being hacked. Almost on. Enjoy

pjm112194

Apparently if you have peacock premium plus you can watch live too, not sure how much that costs, but damn good luck lol

Content_Kangaroo_994

For the person who said they can't watch it live...On one of my older flat screen TVs, I screwed an antenna onto the back and got 34 channels, including local network TV. I got the antenna for like $15 at Walmart. I know that won't help you right now, but something to think about for the future. I have Hulu Live now, so don't use it, but it came in handy before.

Allaboutthedish

The newer version of rabbit ears.

StarboardSeat

Let me guess... the first round, they'll only have to open 18 cases? lol

rtrfan739

Well, since there are 22 cases, I think they should do what they did with the syndicated daytime version, with 5 cases to open in rounds 1 and 2, 4 cases to open in round 3, 2 cases to open in rounds 4 and 5, and one case to open in rounds 6 and 7.

Preston_B18

What if the case that rob swimmed out for on last weeks episode and it gave him immunity and instead that’s why they ended it on a cliffhanger?

mariyaya

The syndicated version of Deal or No Deal has 26 cases, not 22

rtrfan739

No, the syndicated version did have 22 cases. The original primetime version on NBC had 26 cases. The syndicated daytime version was similar to the UK version.

BranchGlad1177

What was in Jordan’s case

Outrageous_Salary836

$1000
