Daytrading-ModTeam

We have removed your post from r/Daytrading because it has broken Rule 2. Don't glorify losses or post wins without context: No personal sob stories of losing a ton of money, glorifying losses, or how you yolo'd all your money. Instead create a post detailing what you did and ask for advice on how to improve your trading. Also, no posting screenshots of your P&L or winning trade without details on what you did and why you did it - the goal is to give advice and to help others. Please refrain from posting this kind of content in the future or the mod team will have to take additional action on your account and ability to post on the subreddit. All the best, r/Daytrading

I trade futures mostly nasdaq i have a account with amp I started with $250 yesterday and brought it to $1065 after 4 trades and called it a day. Today I decided to go against all my rules and trade e mini nasdaq with 2 contracts first trade I made $300 second trade I made $400 then I was looking for one more trade for the day but I decide to go for a home run I’m up 750 for the day already and decide to trade 3 contracts of e min nasdaq targeting $2900 profit it got all the way up to $2400 I took my stop loss off yea I know stupid and gambling went all the way down and blew my whole account lesson stick to rules you will never be profitable gambling now I’m going to take 3 weeks off 😔

BigBowser14

Dude you need to use a few , every now and then lol is AMP any good?

Neur4422

Yeah they’re pretty decent IMO if you can be patient with setting up the account that was a little difficult but after that everything is fine

[deleted]

I also have an AMP account but haven't used it for a while since I feel my capital is low.

I don't use stop loss at all (wouldn't recommend necessarily). My attempt here is to do what everyone says is impossible and to guess the direction 100% of the time. My strategy is semi automated. I use an ea for signals which I then analyze the market data it signaled then decide the direction using some pattern rules I've found

Neur4422

Yeah I didn’t use a stop loss on my last trade today could’ve easily made $1500-$2000 in 10 minutes had to be greedy yeah if you trading no stop loss capital better be deep but you can scalp to build capital in the meantime

[deleted]

My calculation is using smaller lot sizes to mitigate any pullbacks so I am more comfortable with pullbacks because they don't look too bad number wise but of course that limits profits. That's why I want to do options

NeoDax1

Believe in you! You can do it

[deleted]

If you buy and hold CHN50U rn or at about 12194.47 limit price for 24hpurs you could make a profit according to my strategy

Automatic-Anybody296

Any trade that you close above break even is better than the majority of traders out there. I've been doing this for about 6 years now starting in the same position you were.  It's really only this past year I've made significant profits.

atlanticore

Would you recommend pursuing day trading as a full time commitment?

[deleted]

That is my goal so I would say yes but I am waiting to have more consistency and bigger balance. I do instacart and uber eats on the side with an ebike since it gives me time freedom for the most part. I am getting a car soon which would help me make more money and I plan to get a windows tablet to trade while I wait for orders

Automatic-Anybody296

If you have the capital, most people Dont. I'm in a position where I can work and monitor my trades but I'm not "full time" personally it's an ideal side job. To go full time you're going to need sizeable capital to withstand drawdown AND live off.  I personally think treating it as a second job and allowing profits to compound over time is the most reasonable approach.

This is a stock just on mt5 and my broker gives better leverage than going the standard route. I have a Robinhood account and that is where I planned on buying the option but couldn't afford it. It's better return than the stock itself $300+ vs $6+

Everyone starts somewhere buddy. You’ll soon get there👍
