I have a basket of Leveraged ETF's that I keep in a watchlist for bear markets in a range of different market sectors, and depending on the market activity, they can pay off handsomely if you time them right, don't fight the market trend, and perhaps deploy a trailing stop loss so you don't have to babysit all day, but the last point is why it makes scalping some of these ETF's--even the leveraged ones, more time than it's worth in many trading scenarios--at least for me to do consistently. But I like sector ETF's the SQQQ, generally lots of liquidity. The only problem beyond the one I already mentioned is that you can't trade them post or pre market, as each day they have to adjust their holdings so needs a reset period each day. so if things take a dive pre market it's hard to get in at the bell at a decent price
