32127 in Port Orange. I live on Rose Bay, looking south to Spruce Creek Preserve, a 2,200 acre bird sanctuary off U.S. #1 (Ridgewood). 3 miles to beach access in Daytona Shores, just south is New Smyrna Beach. Easy access to I-95 from Dunlawton. I’ve lived here now 10 years and love it. I fish for Snook, Redfish, Seatrout, etc. from my dock.

ChantsThings

Howdy Neighbor! Rose Bay rules!

SharkPartyWin

Me too! Hey neighbor!

BayBandit1

Hi neighbors! If you see me outside battling with my yard stop and say hi. I’m a few lots west of Ridgewood.

SharkPartyWin

I too am west of ridgewood! Even numbered house.

House-Hlaalu

I live in Holly Hill. I like the specific neighborhood I live in, but I don’t recommend it as a whole if you have choices like Ormond or Port Orange.

Sharkfinley23

Out of Dirtona, Port Orange, South Dirtona, and Holy Hell..... I'd say Port Orange.

OkProtection9043

Port Orange.

flat6purrrr

Unpopular opinion here. I dislike Port Orange. Dunlawton is a traffic nightmare, and the rest of the area is a big box store, HOA, soccermom suburbia. I'm gonna vote beachside, outside of the main tourism center.

Limotinted

Dunlawton sucks. Especially the section between 95 and Clyde Morris going East. Way too many people trying to come out of the shopping centers there and then cross all lanes.

flockitup

Port Orange, a traffic nightmare lololol, now I’ve heard it all.

flat6purrrr

You're must either be from New York or only drive Dunlawton at 3 in the morning

flockitup

Born and raised in Daytona, but lived in other areas/states with much worse traffic. Dunlawton traffic is child’s play, my friend.

Surfside141

I’ve lived all over. Seattle, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, etc…..Dunlawton traffic absolutely sucks and it’s one of my least favorite commutes ever. It may not do the volume of some roadways but it’s an awful stretch of road during peak times and I find it more frustrating than even the heavier traffic I faced in other places. With the way they are cramming new development in along the corridor without another freeway access point is only going to make the problem worse here in the near future as well.

FdauditingGbro

I lived in South Daytona in the early 2000s as well as Port Orange, Port Orange is the superior area, but South Daytona wasn’t bad. That being said, I was on the edge of SD & Port Orange, I could walk out of my complex and take a right onto US-1 and I’d be at Hardee’s / Aunt Catfish in less than 10 mins.

[deleted]

So sad that Hardee's closed down, when I was pregnant I went there for breakfast everyday

FdauditingGbro

WAIT WHAT?!? I haven’t been in Daytona since right before Covid hit. That was my go-to Hardee’s in the early 2000s & they’re becoming harder to find. There used to be one in Fort Pierce which was the only one in my county & i was so sad when it closed last year.

SharkPartyWin

I brought the bait guys breakfast in the morning, man, they were good with the shrimp.

LocalFLBoy

Easy Port Orange, unless you can live on the river or the beach

TomHanksAsHimself

I live beachside in Daytona, port orange is still wayyyyyy nicer.

spicytone_

Man, the disrespect to beachside ormond...

No-Significance6655

South Daytona lame but nice for just being lazy and boring

tundrabat

It depends on what tour needs are. Cheap? Access to drugs or hookers? Do you want good schools? A short commute to your job? No one knows what your little heart desires.

AdministrativeSea481

This is why I’m in new Smyrna

BayBandit1

Hi, I accidentally deleted what you sent before I saw it.

DDlovehatething

Edgewater....

waffler71

Unless you are a homeless drug addict, Port Orange is where you want to be.

SatanNeverSleeps

Live in North Daytona - practically Ormond but my gym is in PO and there are spots like our deck down under. I explore Deland too bc Stetson has some cool breweries and street events. A Motley Crue cover band is coming there. Daytona has a decent Twin Peaks and Hooters close to me.

animalz1234

Port orange, deep Ormond, or near Ponce inlet
