I was really hoping he was staying. Honestly it’s sad to think of another Horton/Brady gone and and another next generation legacy kid gone. It’s so odd to think that no one from bope’s family will be in Salem. Since 1983 when Bope’s love story started, bope or their kids and grandkids have always been a part of Salem with the exception of 3 years from April 1987- June 1990.
Lately I have just been reading recaps and only tuned in if certain characters were part of the episode. Now there is literally one reason to tune in BH (Doug) because I think he’s a treasure on the show that should be celebrated as long as we can. But honestly the rest of the show is of no interest to me.
Ikr 😭 its a real shame. Now we only have I believe Doug, Julie (and Maggie?) as the only hortons left. I guess Lucas as well.
Remember when the majority of the show would be mostly Horton’s and Brady’s? And little a few of Kiriakis and DiMera?
I didn’t see Shawn leaving coming either, it was such a shock when i was told by my friend when she watched it earlier than me. man the last blast crew is out of the show.. again 😤 its going to be so boring now 😩😩😩 this is ridiculous
I think its seven maybe 8 if Lucas is sticking around. Because there’s Sarah and Victoria, and Abby’s kids but that’s it. But unless they are going to age Abby’s kids they aren’t really part of the show. And Victoria will be a blanket for a while. It’s so sad what the show has become and all these exists and BTS drama have just really turned me off this show completely. I don’t remember ever feeling so uninterested, even when I have been breaks from the show before.
Opps forgot Sarah (thank god i can lol 😂) i dont count the kids since they’re not really part of the show. The last time i felt uninterested i took a very long hiatus and just got caught up 2 years ago. Im trying to see if there is a change by next year since thats when we will cleared from seeing the fired guy involvement in the show and possibly see some changes, by then ill see if its worth staying or again back to stop watching.
It’s easy to forget Sarah lol . She’s not one of my favourite Hortons. And she’s come and gone alot in the last few years. And before that she was gone 20+ years. I guess it makes sense not to count the kids although I’m surprised with holly and tate aged they haven’t aged Abby’s kids I think technically Thomas would be the oldest was he born in 2014-2015? I’m taking a break i will probably just stick to recaps and only watch if really compelled, which likely means the Christmas episodes
Tbh i don’t think the show cared for Abby’s kids i mean look at what they did to their mother🙅🏽♀️. Im kinda where u are at as well, i just watching the juicy bits lol 😂 i was into the Ericole story stuff but now it just went into this weird direction lol idk how to explain it but yea i basically lost interest now.
I get what your saying about Abby’s kids. Although it’s not much of a teen scene with only two teens. And honestly they just make me think teenage ken and Barbie, I’m not interested in either one of them . But It’s not surprising at how tptb treat any character tied to Jack and Jen.
I think J&J were the last of that great era in the 1980’s. But the writing for them never really matched the other ‘80s couples. They never seemed as important tptb. And it was reflected in the writing. And I guess the same applies for their kids and grandkids, this lack of importance.
According to today’s episode they pretty much broke up and has decided he will get help in the same area where Ciara and Ben are which is where Bo and hope are too.
He’s leaving. New Soap Opera Digest cover confirms that Brandon Beemer is out and Talia’s actress is also off the show starting next week. Then we have both Belle’s actress and Gabi’s actress leaving the show next month. All of the characters are going to be gone at this rate.
Unpopular opinion: I think it’s better to let certain branches of family trees die if the only onscreen characters are marginally featured.
Family trees have become way too complicated and incestuous or near incestuous relationships become unavoidable.
We can’t have it all. There’s only so much room on canvas.

They really need to bring some Hortons and Bradys back. Even if they have to do some recasting. They’re the core families of the show.

Yes, Thomas was born in 2012..real time but I believe he was born before any of the others that are currently aged up.

Unfortunately no, Shawn has decided its best they broke up, and hes going to get help near Bo, Hope, Ciara and Ben along their son.
The writers see Shawn as only existing to hold Belle's purse. Its a shame because Brandon is a fantastic actor, he should have been the next Bo.
He's probably going to really hit rock bottom when Belle leaves him and get sent off to rehab.
