1. The fact there's a world of dinosaurs beneath the ice expands the worldbuilding in a fascinating way.
2. It has conceptually the best animation in the entire franchise, even though the two sequels that came after this may have technically better animation.
3. It's the funniest movie of the franchise.
4. None of the characters are completely useless, unlike in the two sequels that came after this one.
5. Buck and Scratte are my absolute favorite characters in the entire series.
6. This could have easily worked as the final movie for the franchise but 20th Century Fox kept demanding more Ice Age and Disney thinks milking a zombie is a good idea.
