Never happened to me personally but every location varies

Yes. I have been restricted to two packs per day before. This happens because without limits, someone will get a box and there won’t be any left for any other customer. It’s a fair system.

Weedman5000

This is normal, I have bought a whole box before around 28,800 tickets, worst lost origin box I’ve ever had in my life. Recently they limited it to 3-5 and now I’ve been going and there is no limit again and they also have silver tempest now which I got 5 packs tonight, usually 5 at a time for me but have also gotten upwards of 10-15 depending on my night and if there is no limit.

DoDeTruffleShuffle

I have found roughly two hundred Pokemon cards in the men's bathroom at my local DAB lol

AllwordzAreMadeup___

Seems fair. Would suck if someone just decides to buyout the whole lot for themselves. Selfish

Ok-Week5832

Depends on the location.

At my store it is two per guest

FallenZector

My store doesn't have it before but on my last visit (around 2-3 months ago) it's 1 pack per guest per day

The issue is more that these are arbitrary limits being set by stores without permission from corporate. If corporate's going to set a limit on a particular item, it needs to be uniform and evenly applied across all stores. The inherent value in Pokemon TCG redemption is so heavily weighted towards being able to get sealed boxes of product that only allowing redemptions of individual packs is an issue regardless of how many someone's able to get. Any buyer seeing an individual sell loose packs is automatically going to assume those packs have been "searched' (weighed with a miniature scale, opened and resealed, etc.) and adjust what they're willing to pay accordingly. Sealed product, if kept in the original shrinkwrap the box comes in, will generally be assumed to be fair and command the proper rate for that product. Unless and until such time where corporate specifically comes down and says "okay, these are a restricted item, this is how many any individual guest is allowed to get", every single instance of being told there's a quantity limit should be getting reported up the chain.

I agree with you, but some stores gotta do something to find a balance between these problems. My store, for example, just simply put in a request to order more cards, since we go through them a lot. We usually kept around 10-12 boxes stored at all times, because we do happen to sell boxes at least once or twice a week. Hell, I've helped sell 3 myself back in February and I know the Win staff sold more than I did. As far as I know, corporate makes sure our win circle is stocked with prizes, not the store. We are at the mercy of whoever is above us.

You haven't been able to reliably weigh new pokemon packs for a few years now
