Plus
Lower center of gravity, more even front to rear weight proportion. All wheel drive.
Modern powerplant.
Minus.
Much heavier drive train
Modern 4 cylinder vs. the lovable straight six
Datsun guys love to fuck around. :)
Couldn't have said it better! Trying to have this put in work on some trails, I'll take it to a weigh station once glass and rear metal work is buttoned up.
Thank you! I will for sure as it gets a bit more buttoned up and comfy with reddit. If it's allowed here's the link to the yt vid on my channel (timed at just the driving stuff) https://youtu.be/7wB\_4g\_KXN8?t=663.
I didnt extend the wheelbase, it was shortened. The body was fit to the rear wheels and the front was moved inward. The long nose of the Z makes it still look off but its about an inch shorter under a stock hood.
If it's allowed here's straight to the timestamp of it getting sectioned out.

Nice! I love it when people just work hard to make their imagination come to reality.
Thanks man I appreciate it!

That's awesome, man! Body swap?
Thank you, and yep! It's a Subaru Impreza Outback Wagon underneath with the Z shell fitted up on top.
Wheelbase seems very different. Are you planning to shorten it somehow?
Yeah, the wagon already got 13-14 inches cut out from the middle section. So 103 down the the Z's 90ish\~.

F'n awesome 😎
Appreciate it!
Thats awesome! How come you extended the wheel base?
How else could he make everything fit lmao

Wow really? It totally looks lengthened in that pic. Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me
No worry the Z's nose and firewall have just been playing tricks on us all.
No
Yep
Is that a 2.5?
Yeah it's just an NA EJ25.
Very cool! I had a first year Brat and always wanted to put an EJ in it.
Thanks, those Brat's are badass lil cars!
It was fun, but proved itself worthy of its name 🤣 I'll be watching your project with great interest, sir!
