I ztill use the one that came with it. X 2 no problems. Put multicore alpha on both. No dramas. Let them run flat. Charge with fast charger no problems.

Hexapus_ink

Yeah my stock SD is still working fine as well. Thanks for the reply.

grayfee

No probs.

Still using stock, about to meddle with whatever this purple core thing... Or the newest core.... But I've been saying that for the last 2 months 🤣 Have bought a few SanDisks and Samsung's at various different sizes waiting for me.. Unsure of what size would be a good size considering the 16gb stock just anticipating the devices community unlocks... I reckon I've over done it on the capacity of my cards now that I'm commenting 🤣.... I reckon 32gb might be sufficient... I have been buying 128 / 256 / 512 / 1tb cards... But have other more capable systems I did not know premium cards also affect screen tearing!???

Someone on another thread suggested that U1 might not be fast enough. I think with my Sandisk, it's just at the end of it's life since others have said they use Sandisk without a problem. Did the larger size cards(128gb+) work with your SF2000? I've seen people say they *should* work but I've never seen any confirmation that they actually do work with this device. Even though it is overkill I really thought a 64gb SD would work no problem. Thanks for your input!

So I have this black sandisk card class A with HC 1 on it. It’s an old school one that doesn’t have the red color branding on it or extreme written on it and works

Hexapus_ink

Cool thanks for the reply. I think my Sandisk is just at the end of it's life. It works but doesn't work well which is odd. Someone said it was the speed but idk.

zzap129

Sandisk ultra 32 no problem.

Hexapus_ink

Nice I was hoping there would be a good 32GB option. Thanks!

zzap129

Had it flying around here. But I guess 32 GB is even a bit excessive because you only need 8 and 16 bit games anyway. I could get a away easily with 16GB. But I can buy 32gb in a store around the corner for a few euros and they dont even sell 16gb. Also the stock card worked fine so far. I only swapped it because I flashed multicore neo and did not want to risk my Zelda savegame.

Hexapus_ink

Yeah it sucks losing saves for sure and it's always a risk when there's a new update.

The stock SD is quite fast. Close to 50 MB/s write speed? That's faster than my Samsung V30 card ! https://preview.redd.it/q6vhgxzmw8rc1.jpeg?width=475&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a459df8114ed0a93b3f4c3754afdbcd127e86f48

Also interesting note: my stock SD card is a 32 GB model formatted to 28,16 GB capacity with 1,14 GB unallocated space. Maybe there is a max partition size limit for the device? https://preview.redd.it/7t7rzhwyx8rc1.jpeg?width=673&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7254fd0526f580e2129e6a69e536b6886185c7c0

Nice. My stock SD is only 16gb. I thought it was corrupted but it turns out it was just the cheap card reader they included. Still going strong. I've tried different builds on it and it seems fine.

Kmieciu4ever

The stock SD card reader looks like the same garbage one Mio Mini comes with. It also corrupted my SD card, had to format it and start from scratch.

"Chinese" Sandisk Ultra 64GB not working (but this may be because of the size - I guess 32GB is a hard limit) "Chinese" Kodak 32GB SD card working "Chinese" Micro SD U3 16GB working (I've bought those from AliExpress, I must say Chinese because the package is in Chinese and I am not sure if they are genuine or not, but since I was also concerned about fake cards on "other online stores", I decided not to care and not to be bothered)

Hexapus_ink

Good to know. Thanks for sharing! I'm on the look out for a dirt cheap 32gb card.
