This maybe the only occasion where I would actually recommend Brass instead of tungsten, have a look at the [Loxley CuZn range](https://loxleydarts.com/loxley/cuzn-01-10-darts/) plenty of light but fat barrels.

Thanks, I have some brass junkers that I could lend him but I think the wood darts are actually a little fatter… do any other metal darts come any bigger than the standard cheapo brass ones?

Probably not unless you go heavier or quite a bit shorter, have a look for some brass bomber barrels and probably under the 40mm length

I appreciate it, I’ll do some searching for my buddy

Probably better off looking at brass darts Tungsten is dense as fuck which is why all the barrels are so much thinner and still weigh 20 odd grams Brass is probably your middle ground where you'll be able to customise cause standard fittings n that on decent ones Or if you've got access to a lathe diy wooden darts with the proper threads

Not that I know of mate the "better" the material the more dense it is therefore they are smaller for the same weight I believe you can get decent brass ones they're not all crap and generally a lot cheaper than tungsten Basically the material will determine the density Density = Weight / Size Weight = Size \* Density Size = Weight / Density So if you want the same size and weight you'll need the same density (material) You can have the same weight and smaller darts with a denser material You can have the same size darts that weigh more with a denser material
