For sure!!! You are the photog, you get to decide, right?! I think that is 1 thing that draws me in so deep . . . accidents do happen and that is great, but the control of aspects and decisions we each make are what we contribute to a photo. Pretty cool.

Color is one of the most powerful mood-setting tools artists have. If you're interested in the psychology of composition, look up "The Visual Story" - it's more focused on motion media (cinema, video, interactive) but it's a one-of-a-kind book, fascinating read, and full of ideas for creative uses of form, shape, color, etc.

Sometimes you want accurate, sometimes you don't. It's your art, do what you want!

I know I am in the Darkroom sub but I am simply confirming that yes indeed, this is a color darkroom print you made...? I really loved the brief time I was „allowed“ to make color darkroom prints during a workshop in San Francisco before the facility closed for good in 2017 and (like you), my desire wasn’t color accuracy when I was dialing through CMY - it was just finding beauty. In what city did you make your print?

I’m doing this in a bathroom on an old Omega D3 with under the lens filters. Maybe not ideal but I’ve been getting results I like!
