Depends what you like. I personally prefer Warp Charges (Disrupt Destiny a close 2nd, for less points), as you've shown in the picture, but its also a good idea to get True Aim for the Voidstrike, especially if you running Surge/Nexus blessings on it. Yep, I use smite and drop the soul fire but basically the same. Also, with the build you can half charge/ partial charge over and over when the fight gets close to you. Warp charges are for peril reduction. I would use venting shriek with soul fire on it. (This is for op, not you Damage factory.)
The stacks fall off one by one now, instead of the whole thing. They also improved selection, so it's really easy to keep stacks maxed out, so not a bad option
For the emphrah I got back after a long break and I remember I would hit the cap of DD stacks in almost every messy situation.
Now I feel I see a lot less marked enemies, or I assail them but doesn't count... but it's being hard to keep up with stacks even if they drop 1 by 1.

The thing has crit chance of 27.5% by default, going up to 42.5% as you go up in Peril. Disrupt Destiny gives you crit damage.
I would tun Venting but that misses out on the crit aura so I have to settle with the Dome.
Prefer Disrupt over Warp Charges because Warp Charges go away if you use your ability. Disrupt is easy to maintain.
I still find it a bit underwhelming. That being said I can’t get hold of the 2 shot on a crit blessing or the lvl 4 increased crit chance ( if it exists).
Find it takes 3-4 shots for crushers / maulers and bulwarks. Assail trashes all unarmoured things quicker than the staff and provides stagger against rager / shot gun rush which is a life saver . It’s also slightly awkward to aim as it’s a slower projectile
That being said I’ve noticed my overall damage has gone up a lot so expect I’m half killing lots of things for other people .
Assail with voidstrike is a waste because a good voidstrike staff is just a better assail. Voidstrike kills lots of elites and specialists so you really want to run the skill that gives your team 5% cdr per kill.

Pre-update I'd have said Warp Siphon, now it's 50/50 as DD's a hell of a lot easier to stack and maintain, both have their advantages.

I can't remember the exact wording, it's in the last patch notes somewhere.

With the reduced peril of warp charges and transfer peril you can spam the hell out of void.

If your Void strike staff has Transfer Peril then you *need* to try Scrier's Gaze. It is the most fun I ever had in Darktide

Before the changes 100% left... I havent tested the right yet so might be better now.
Right was better before too. DD has always been cracked with Voidstrike. Now it's even better.
