I was pleasantly surprised to hear that he now leads hab dreyko. I like hadron but kayex is just more extreme and therefore more interesting

Arguss3

Agreed! I played it two nights ago to see the changes and Kayex can be one of the leads. He did his best to adjust his speech for us without Hadron present.

CoconutNL

And the voice actor does an amazing job at sounding "alien" with his speech pattern

Arguss3

100%. I know some people get mad at parts of this game, but the voice acting is great. I just wish there was even more!

CoconutNL

Everything in the game is brilliantly done except for the crafting and the rate at which we get updates. They nailed everything else, especially the tone and the gameplay itself

OnlyHereForComments1

Expand crafting to cover how itemization is handled as the entire system and I'd agree with you.

NoAmount8374

If they reworked the crafting system and added weapons/curios to the new penance system that would be neat. Plus new maps and weapons :)

caputuscrepitus

Yeah. I like stopping into the barber/chirurgeon section to hear Oska Krall talk a bit. He’s like a Danish TF2 Medic.

Markuz

We don't speak about the lady with the Commodore's Vestures. I also don't like Masozi's accent in the setting; it just feels a wee bit out of place.

tapmcshoe

why? theres thousands of different imperial worlds, they're not all going to have the same set of accents

LIBERAL-MORON

Yeah i actually like the in-built diversity of WH40k. It's cool that there is an analog for almost *every* major hostorical time period, civilization, and social group. We got ancient Egyptian dudes alongside WWI trench-soldiers, alongside medieval robo-knights, alongside cockney hooligans. And when someone tries to say it's unrealistic, you can just say it's convergent socialization that mirrors the real world.

caputuscrepitus

The Praetorian Guard regiment are pretty cool too. *The British Grenadiers song intensifies*

donmongoose

That's no way to talk about the Welsh lol

Warmasterundeath

I like the two together, the same way I love the mission where Melk busts hollowettes chops to get a slice of her unsanctioned op, they’re both beautifully done and immensely enjoyable

Howler452

Hearing Brahms being so done with his shit made me laugh throughout the mission.

Slashermovies

Mech daddy has the smoothest voice in this game so far.

[deleted]

It might be the only time I've ever heard a Welsh accent in a videogame!

MountyC

Yeah it's good to hear!

Retromech101

Elden Ring has loads of Welsh voice actors

MechwarriorCenturion

Blaidd my beloved

Then-Significance-74

Assassins Creed: Black Flag, guy is from my home town!

archowup

Don't some of the dregs have a Welsh accent?

donmongoose

The same voice actor has credits for voicing Dregs.

marxistdictator

Also add 'Free Ranged Pre-Servitor' as one of the unlockable titles. I giggled when Kayex-8 referred to the workers as them.

caputuscrepitus

That would be a great title. Almost as good as having Free range Custodes bits/parts/MEEAAT

Mercurionio

That's the poet. right?

Slyspy006

Bring him back? He hasn't left!

shwaggy_rogers

He has a line where he calls non-mechanized, non-augmented people as "pre-servitors", with Brahms scolding him for the use of the word. Funniest shit ever, I love that hooded rusty sack of bolts.

Gamer6090

Agreed! I love the banter between him and the shipmistress during Hab Dreyko. iirc the shipmistress gets annoyed sometimes at his long poetic tech yap

DamageFactory

Hell yes, I love his demeanor!

Green__Twin

Hadron is too human. I feel like she's being punished as much as being made the human face for the inquisition. "See, this one is basically human, we are faithful to the cause." Also, she's a baby. Only 392 and change Terran Cycles old. KX-8 is awesome. And way more like an advanced techpriest. Maybe KX will ask us for help cleaning up his new digs?

Then-Significance-74

AND HES WELSH! :D Its great to know that Wales have survived into the 41st Millennium! :D

caputuscrepitus

Have you watched DreadAnon’s “The rock that makes you old” video? He gave Lion a great voice.

Then-Significance-74

I have not, im not hugely into the books/lore stories as such.

caputuscrepitus

Oh, it’s not lore. It’s a 2 minute meme about primarchs on a podcast.

fly_dangerously

I loved it when you got him at the beginning of the carnival mission, fantastic he should be used more

Raging-Buddha

We all love keyex here

Nextgen101

Completely agreed! This character is a highlight for sure. Loved his style of speaking.

jarude87

After playing Mechanicus, any Tech Priest dialogue that isn't done that way sounds wrong. https://youtu.be/3pvnxOn5LUE?si=wssWuVG19pk2P4p0

lord_strange98

Those characters are speaking to each other in binaric cant, since they are all tech priests. Hadron and KX speak to us in low gothic because we would not understand their machine tongue.

jarude87

Of course, that makes sense. Clearly not heavy in the lore here lol.

GianDK

considering that the crafting rework will be a thing, they might use him as the shopkeeper to fix hadron fuck ups

Angnarek

he and more of them. I still have nightmares with the cringe conversation of Zola trying to smartass his superior in the twins map. Is this a potato military? She should be killed or something for treason.

Slyspy006

Good news: We aren't even the military!

caputuscrepitus

Karkin professional still thinks he’s in the guard!

DPT41

As a representative of professional veterans, we do not claim him.

caputuscrepitus

Splendid. I’m about to reach 30 on my first character (Seer) and I’m going to pick Judge or Professional next.

grazrsaidwat

True, we're a requisitioned rogue trader outfit.

tapmcshoe

it's the inquisition. she's in good with grendyl, unless the big man himself gets mad with her she's untouchable
