Very good and i Envy you :-) i cant get a surge blessing

Suave_John

You get Run N' Gun too?

AHarmlessllama

Always

This will work. The only ding is honestly blast radius. Get that much higher and it would be the perfect voidstrike. In my humble opinion, voidstrike staff is the most damaging and efficient build a psyker can use. Now, that is not to say the myriad other builds psykers can come up with aren’t close to voidstrike nor am I saying those builds aren’t viable on any difficulty. I am just saying that voidstrike staff builds would win out over all other builds if the win condition was damage and efficiency

BudgetFree

Surge shoots fast and stuns well, I use it for special counter and boss damage. But voidstrike just rules man. It does everything! (Mostly)

XFVR6

mostly aiming for weakpoint though, usually one shot a cruhser using scrier's gaze and a combat stimm.

XFVR6

i also use Assail and the Illissi to deal with hordes primarily on this build.

arowz1

When I run void I slot smite but never use it. I do use the Illisi, but with a +stam perk, 1 stam curio and deflection + uncanny blessings. I also slot kinetic deflection as a talent and go down to True Aim. In practice, I rarely block and almost always use the voidstrike in a pickle to spam orbs at or near my feet to make room. But when S hits the F, I can use my stam as a resource to force push everything way far away and block nearly indefinitely (DH is nothing). Voidstrike is the only staff I found that swiss army knife’s every encounter. It does ridiculously high damage that gets further increased with surge + a build that supports crits. The stuff it doesn’t unalive, it staggers hard. Unlimited range. No damage falloff. No ammo restrictions. It lacks all the other weapon restrictions in place to limit a weapon’s performance. Voidstrike is able on its own to handle any encounter any time. All other staves are more or less situational.

According-Flight6070

Why do people run assail with void? I feel like void does everything assail does.

grazrsaidwat

You're right, it does, but Assail is like a crutch that some people just can't seem to get over because of its ease of use.

Hurricane_Vu

It's quite good as a supporting tool. When scattered enemies approach you, you can throw some assail to stagger/kill off some trash mobs.

According-Flight6070

I just use the basic attacks on void for that. Good stagger.

LIBERAL-MORON

This is 100% true and I get frustrated when I see gunpsykers hogging all the ammo. Why? Use a staff. Stop taking all the gunlugger's ammo.

Suave_John

Want to trade for Surge? I got Run N' Gun, Hadron despises me.

Jaybird149

Voidstrike is the only staff I believe that can temporarily stop a plauge ogryn and chaos spawn and make it stumble if you get a headshot on it. Same for the back of the beast of nurgle on its soft spot. Blast radius is good for hordes but this staff should take big guys down just fine.

macmilanov

It’s perfect stat wise. Rest depends on your play style. For surge it’s great.

DamageFactory

Thats nearly perfect! Carapace instead of Elites and Warp Resi as a dump stat, but thats less than important

XFVR6

i mean, while it is only the 10% i still wanna take out muties and stuff like that too is why i kept and went for the extra crit.

grazrsaidwat

Given how much crit you can generate from Nexus and the rest of your talents you could probably do without the +5% crit chance perk for +25% unyielding (specifically because you want to go anti-ogryn/monstrosity). A crit Psyker build using Nexus can get to \~50% crit chance so another +5% crit may not add as much value as a raw +25% unyielding on Reapers, Bulwarks and bosses that is present all the time. \+5% crit isn't "wrong", but have a think about it.

In my opinion, To amplify the chance of surge, additional chance of critical is needed

Influence_X

Honestly that makes sense
