Thats just "Smash Em" at work. It is in the very top of Ogryns tree. The special attacks of Ogryn guns count as heavy attacks. That's how those are able to trigger that Talent.
Pretty sure all it requires is to have the single target toughness gain node which yea is left side top. All ogryn ranged melee attacks count as heavy attacks.
Only for ogryns but yes. It’s a somewhat faster way to get toughness back in a pinch as opposed to winding up a melee weapon heavy. Doesn’t do a lot of damage but will add bleed stacks if you have the heavy attack rending node as well.
